Awesome tut. I am an experienced seamstress and would do things a little different but I fully understand you doing things this way for time sake. But what I loved is the way you cut the design in the fabric to go on top. That was so totally cool and I would have never thought to do that. So thank you so much for taking time to do the tutorial. I really enjoyed it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tutorial and inspired me to use my Scan n Cut more. I know you’re a spokes person for Brother and I noticed on your sewing machine that sometimes your thread cutter would cut and sometimes it didn’t and you had to use the side cutter. I have three Brother machines with the latest being the Dream Machine and it’s hit or miss on that thread cutter. I did notice at the end of the video your thread cutter worked every time. What did you do to make it start working every time? Brother has the Luminaire Innovation-is XP1out since Monday however I’ve been ignored by my dealer and the Brother Company about my thread cutter and I’m rethinking purchasing any future Brother sewing machines. I do however like the brand new Scan and Cut with the sensor blade that was released and wondered if you’ll be doing any tutorials on that new machine?

There's a lot of fraying, which may affect my projects. Anyway to reduce fraying?

I need to cut fabric in the shape of pots. Im guessing I need to take a mold and scan it and use it to cut the fabric or paper? I’m totally new at this! Pretty clueless! Lol thanks

May I ask, what model Brother sewing machine are you using? Thanks.

I am having such difficulty (operator ignorance) working my scan and cut, which I have owned for like 2 years and used exactly twice translating to once a year usage. What matt should I be using for fabric to make it tacky enoug to hold the fabric in place? If you have a video describing matt paired with what to use with them, please provide the link. Thanks in advance!

What do you use for the usable?

You can use iron-on fusible interfacing for this pencil case project for your Brother cutting machine.

It would be faster to cut these pieces with a rotary cutter.

How do you stop the fraying of fabric ? I want to cut quilt pieces but way to much fraying.

Hi. Starching fabric gives a much sharper cut 😊
