- I'm showing you the difference between #3 and #5 zippers in this super short demo. At Sew Hungry Hippie, we sell these two sizes because they are often used in bag making. My approach to sewing IS and HAS ALWAYS BEEN to just go for it and do the thing. Stop overanalyzing and comparison thinking because it won't help you advance your skills. Only DOING will.

I love our neighbors in Canada!
Natalie, you are AMAZING ! Thank you for explaining these things... appreciate you... :)
You're so welcome!
I so love your philosophy when it comes to sewing . I was making bags before there was any bag hardware and wide tape zippers. Oh how I hated having to use those narrow tape clothing zippers. Your zippers are absolutely eye knockers. 😘
I remember using those zippers too!! LOL Thank you for watching!
Thanks for the demo. Your advice is much appreciated. I love your outlook on life so much. I agree, mistakes are just an opportunity to learn.
Thanks for watching!
Loved the beginning today!!

Watching replay!
Hi Pam!
Thanks so much for your advice. I over analyze way too much. I'm going to try doing it your way. Takes me way too long. Just going to push through and do it. Wish me luck!!!! Thanks.
You can do it! Stop listening to that voice in your head that makes you doubt yourself. YOU CAN DO THIS!
Love your attitude and encouragement to all. I really enjoy tips of the trade. Just watch one of your videos about tacking the corners of the bag and had a project I tried it on. Perfect . Going to use this on all bags from now on.
Awesome! Thank you!
Hope you’re all feeling better
Thanks so much, we are!
I so agree! I have learned more by just trying something and making mistakes.🌸
Exactly!
Great advice !
Glad you think so!
Good tutorial! Thanks
You're welcome!
How to make a tote with handles and a zipper on the top with out a gusset so zip is across the very top with an overhanging separating zip
Thank you
I wish we could, but we're out of material.
❤Did you make your jacket? Love it!
I did!
This is Karen from Claremore, Oklahoma, hello !
Hello Karen!
Can we use either end of the zip when attaching the zipper pull?
Yes, but sometimes one end is easier than the other -- just try it.
¿¿¿ Love the white jacket. Did you make it and do you have a pattern and class for it ¿¿¿
I did make it, it was a McCalls pattern - I'll try to find it!! :D
@@SewHungryHippie thanks that would be awesome.
For beginners does is the 3 or 5 better?
I think the #5 is easier, that's why I use it more often. :D
