John, you have no idea how much this helped. I didn't realize I was having the same problem you covered in this video until I watched this yesterday. I tried this today and it had a cascading effect on the rest of the rotation. I fixed the hips at the back of the circle and that alone fixed four problems down the line. I'm a Master and I've been throwing for 32 years, and finally I've got the feelings I've been looking for!

I am 17 years old, and this is my first year joining discus. I got lucky during my school sports day and now will be attending the state level competition. I'll be honest, I don't have any proper coach to train me, and as a student, find it difficult to train everyday. My personal best is 98 feet with a standing throw. I have one and a half week left to train for the state level competition, and I'm hoping to learn the spin technique to increase my distance. What videos of yours would you recommend to a beginner with circumstances like myself, and what advice can you give?
