Due to artificial boundaries by British divide and rule policy, Jessami and Krowemi villages were separated from their fellow Chakhesang brethrens from Phek district of Nagaland and merged under Ukhrul district of Manipur
Yes there’s a small population of Chakhesang Naga tribe living under Ukhrul district of Manipur inhabiting 2 villages namely Jessami and Krowemi (Soraphung)

There are poumai villages(Phek dist)in Nagaland too. Govt should give tribe recognition to Chakhesang in Manipur and Poumai in Nagaland. Not necessarily that the whole tribe get benefitted but the Villages within the Border should be recognize and allowed to represent their tribe with dignity.
