Prime day I picked up a new AMD Ryzen 5900 and other parts but decided not a MB because I had to do some research. I thought I wanted 3 M.2 slots plus built in 6E Wi-Fi but that leaves you to $300 plus MB's. If you look on amazon lots of cards that can solve those functions for lot less I probably won't even use it since I have a wired network connection.
Be aware that the front panel Type-C header on this board is NOT 10Gbps Gen2 as stated in this video (a mistake I see often in tech videos) it is a Gen1 5Gbps header. USB naming and speeds are often confusing and frustrating for people and it's frustrating to see tech channels that get these wrong.
2024 now and I just bought one of these, my first AMD board since about 1990! Not really fussed about the USB3 not being 10 Gb sec. I am so glad that I chose well, I did want the 2 extra PCIe 4 lane slots and this was one of only a few boards that had these.
Just installed mine with ryzen5 5600g.. really worth the money. My friend keep asking to go for 570 but I decided to buy the mobo because of your video!kudos to you
It's a great choice to pair with a 5600G. Two display outputs if you want two screens.. Plus it is just super stable top quality board. Much potential to expand it later.
Heads up for anyone wanting to get this or the older V1 revision! A lot of people have made comments about the back IO ports not delivering stable power/connection when you turn on XMP on your ram. As far as I've read somewhere (reddit, other tech websites) the issue still persists with V2 revision so be careful

This board also behaves really weird with XMP ram at 3600 mhz with Gigabyte Vision RTX 3070, it will crash unless RAM is at 3566Mhz, weirdly enough, lowering XMP to 3400Mhz also crashes. 1. Will installing 2 m.2 ssd disable the remaining 4 sata ports? 2. Will installing an m.2 on the lower m.2 port disable the lower pcie x16 or lower "graphics card" slot?
To the second question. It won't disable it. It might cut the speed in half which is still more available bandwidth than any available cards can handle .

Hey im wondering if the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 4.60GHz 6 Cores 12 Threads AM4 Desktop Processor will be compatible with the motherboard? this will be my first PC build so im just wondering as ive bought a case and this motherboard today
I previously had B450 Elite V2 version of this and run R7 5700G on it but not for long because it died because of extreme overclocking and power surge. If you want to overclock R 5000 series CPU I would definitely recommend this board because it is great and enough. Thinking about upgrading to this from the asrock x370 killer sli/ac. I assume it will work with my ryzen 9 3900x a bit better. It's the newest processor that my current board can run
I bought a Pc with this board a Ryzen 5600x 16 GB RAM, 1 NVMe WD Black 750 500 GB, GTX 3060 Ti, and 1 pcie Wifi dongle. Can I mount a 2nd NVMe of 1TB on the second slot and maintain performance?
I installed b550 aoruselite today, so I booted up normally. I'm curious, so I'll ask you a question. When I plug in the power cord, the blue led came into the room on the left.go Is it turning off? If you press the computer power button, the heat sink will turn orange. When I connected the outlet, the blue LED went in and out of the heat sink, so I was surprised and asked.^^
I can't decide between the B550 Tomahawk (155€) or the B550 AORUS ELITE V2 (131€ (116€ with Gigabyte Cashback)). Do you think the price is worth it for the included diagnostic LED and an external USB-C on the Tomahawk?

Worth it for a RYZEN 9 5950X??
Should i buy this or the Asus Rog Strix B450-F Gaming II? I’m getting a pc in about 1-2 weeks and right now i think im going to get the gigabyte b550 but is the other one better?
How many fans can u connect on it? My case has 4 can it support them all?
gigabyte b450 aorus elite gigabyte b550m dsh3 what's better for r5 5600x i need answer plz
So how many pc rgb cooling fans can plug in to the motherboard not including the cpu cooler?
which processor would you recommend pairing with this? Also, where I'm from the v2 ain't available. Would you recommend the v1 though? Love your videos btw
Right now, Aorus Elite x570 is only $20 USD more than the Aorus Elite B550 v2......so which should I get?
Hey im wondering if the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 4.60GHz 6 Cores 12 Threads AM4 Desktop Processor will be compatible with the motherboard? this will be my first PC build so im just wondering as ive bought a case and this motherboard today
also will it support the AsRock Radeon RX 6600 Challenger D 8GB Graphics Card?
What do you think is the best graphics card for this Motherboard?
L'Homme c'est le style et le style tu l'as!! keep going broo!
Gigabyte B550 AOURUS ELITE V or Asus Prime X570-P??
Would you recommend this for 5600g? Since everything I’ve read says it will support it now
If not which one would you’ll recommend then?
Personally I would definitely recommend this board for R5 5600G because I currently have R7 5700G and also aiming on this board.
I previously had B450 Elite V2 version of this and run R7 5700G on it but not for long because it died because of extreme overclocking and power surge. If you want to overclock R 5000 series CPU I would definitely recommend this board because it is great and enough. X570 board just add SLI and more PCIE 4.0 with a quite loud chipset fan which you don't want.
I did not plan on overclocking to extreme. Maybe just a slight tweak. Thank you for your response. Definitely helped me out
Take Msi tomahawk
Thinking about upgrading to this from the asrock x370 killer sli/ac. I assume it will work with my ryzen 9 3900x a bit better. It's the newest processor that my current board can run
Did you upgrade to this mobo?
Any problems?
Any tips?
I bought a Pc with this board a Ryzen 5600x 16 GB RAM, 1 NVMe WD Black 750 500 GB, GTX 3060 Ti, and 1 pcie Wifi dongle. Can I mount a 2nd NVMe of 1TB on the second slot and maintain performance?
Main differences for Gigabyte aorus pro V2 vs the Elite v2 ???
For Ryzen 5600X which of these two you prefer mate, Asus Tuf gaming b550-plus or Gigabyte B550 AORUS ELITE V2
I installed b550 aoruselite today, so I booted up normally.
I'm curious, so I'll ask you a question.
When I plug in the power cord, the blue led came into the room on the left.go
Is it turning off? If you press the computer power button, the heat sink will turn orange.
When I connected the outlet, the blue LED went in and out of the heat sink, so I was surprised and asked.^^
Hi! This board it's compatible with an Ryzen 5 5600x ? Thanks!!
may need a bios flash but yeah
I can't decide between the B550 Tomahawk (155€) or the B550 AORUS ELITE V2 (131€ (116€ with Gigabyte Cashback)). Do you think the price is worth it for the included diagnostic LED and an external USB-C on the Tomahawk?
I'm in the same boat atm
Does this motherboard has Wifi? and is that the best compatible motherboard for processor AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or would you recommend another ?
is the msi b550-a pro better? i am trying to decide which one to buy.
Well done, sir! ;)
I don’t know if you said this and I just missed it but can you install WiFi cards or is there some already built in (building my first PC please be nice to me 😂)
Does this motherboard keep the Ryzen 9 5950X cool?
Some of the specs on this mainboard are wrong, did you check these before you make a video about hardware?
I checked . Rechecked and double checked :)
@@Laurentschoice should I point out flaws or did you find them yourself then?
@verrueckteriwan to be honest... I reviewed that board 4 years ago. I reviewed so many of them since :) . Hard to recall. :)
@@Laurentschoice Thats fair, I am just in the middle of troubleshooting one and it sucks finding wrong (or contradictory) informations on a subject
Does this board require a bios update to run a ryzem 5 5600x?
I need to know that as well.
@@XHobbiesPrime I think that you need to update every board that does not say ryzen 5000 ready on the box. So if it says ryzen 3rd gen or something like that you might need to update the board and thats easy to do
@@NORMAL_G Are there any ready for Ryzen 5 boards now?
