Other fish : we cant sunbath
Mudskipper: hold my mud
hahaha. 😄
@@terramater what about lungfish?
@@rajishkhatri9639 Ye...Lung fish, arapima, and probably even more fish species can breathe air, I mean swimbladders evolved from Lungs as during the Devonian period literally most fish had lungs due to lack of oxygen. Fish having lungs isnt a first time
1 million years later mudskippers be like : we have legs
Probably not. These fish fill a very specific niche that they are specialized for. Unless there is a major change to the ecosystem that may cause animals that fill certain niches (in which it is beneficial to have fully formed legs) to go extinct then I don't see these animals evolving in that way. They have no reason to. There are already animals that currently fill that spot.
@@forlorn9134 well if all Land animals (except insects and arachnids) became extinct I could see Mudskippers evolving to adapt for a completely new lifestyle on land
Other fish: 🌊🐟
Mudskippers: "In case you haven’t noticed, I'm weird. I’m a weirdo. I don't fit in. And I don't want to fit in. Have you ever seen me not running out of the water? That's weird."
I saw your ad, i came here and got fascinated.
Great that you are here now! 🤗
Same here!

Wow, thank you! 🤗
You are telling the value of nature through your video, that how precious this creation is .... Grtttttt n really appreciable work.. 😇😇🙃
Thanks for being here & helping to spread the beauty of nature! 💐
0:32 mudskippers the only fish that can live out of water
Lungfish : whatttt 🤨
Being able to breath air doesn't mean a fish can live out of water.
@@ChewyChicken589
mudskippers can live few days without water
Lungfish up to a year
🤣
@@thegreatneess I have been educated. I thought lung fish were just like giant bettas.
I judge a creature such like fish by its ability to climb a tree root 🤣 even jump and breath 😂

3:08 lol...!!
😆
really informative video... nice visuals.. continue the great job!
Thank you so much!
Great that you like our content.

Thanks! 🤗
Glad you enjoyed it!
In Borneo we called it TEM"BA"KOL
Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Is it edible ?
They are Awesome fish.
They are really awesome, yes! :D
3:08 get outta heaah🤣🤣
Bruh why are they so cute ;-;
This is gonna be landanimals 2.0
I liked the background music too!!
Oh, thanks!
You can get more info about the music in our credits. 📻
This half lizard half fish half frog thing these boys got going on is freakier than any alien.
i think they are amazing creature very spectacular in every way
This channel is so underrated.
Soon they are gonna be watching us in museums
they look cute and funny
Indeed!
great video
Thank you!
Evolution is continous
What about their respiratory organs along with cutaneous respiration are they lungs or gills
Hi Satyarth 👋🏻,
Good question!
As well as breathing through their gills while in water on land, mudskippers can absorb oxygen directly from the air; through their skin and through the lining of their mouth - which is why they are often seen ‘gulping’ air.
@@terramater paying attention to viewers such a good people you are
@@terramater thank you
@@greentellus5458 You're welcome!

Amazing video !
Thanks! :)
Even with this video, people will still deny evolution
Yeah right?? As far as I know this is probably exactly how life evolved to live on land, it’s observable today. But watch creationists come up with a weird “explanation”
Excellent production 👍
Thank you so much! 🤗
In 1 billion years they will be the next generation of humans 😅
try 100 years
great effort bro.
Thank you!
Are they kind of lung fishes..??
If not will you plz make a video on them too, TeraMater??
Thanks for the great idea!
Mudskippers make me irrationally happy 😁
That was us, once, skipping through the mud
In South Borneo people often use its name for naming school group projects (making fun of it).. since it's pronounced like
TEAM PA COOL here
This video has some good quality in it.. hope more subs will come
Thanks, we hope that too!
WOAH!
Terra Mater, it has been Seven Months!
Congratulations, for me you've grown so much! I like it!
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Thank you!!
I love this channel so much 🤗🥰
awesome channel

Thanks!
Great that you're here!
I saw your add while watching coyote getting bited by a toe biter
How did the coyote story end? 😮
They also have suction cups on their chests to cling to trees. Or, as ZeFrank would say- "Sticky nipples!"
Amazing humans
wow. Im Shocked
Wait is that mudkip in Pokémon (real life version)
haha. 😆
Do they feed on algae other than small insects
It depends on the species. Some mudskipper species eat algae that grow on mangrove roots; others eat insects, worms and small crustaceans that live in the river mud.
It's Awesome
Thanks!
1:12 annoying mosquito 🦟
Omg!!! Incredible, Eagles, Hawks other Birds and Fish will find Mud Skippers EASY PREY... 👍🏾👊🏾✌🏾🇳🇬🇺🇸
I want to hug one
Cuteew. Very cute🥰🥰😂
They're really special and also cute, yes. :)
it makes me remember pokemon mudkip haha
hope your channel grows
Hopefully soon! :)
Everyone likes mudskip!
It is our ancestor
Not directly, but they give us a look into what our ancestors probably looked like and how they conquered the land
I feel like there use to be secret bipedal apes long before the dinosaurs and as soon as fish stepped out of water, they all died. Then these fish evolved in countless ways to eventually become the hip new bipedal apes of today who are now spending their time looking at fish stepping out of water.
looks like cross between frog and fish
hi i am new here and i loved your channel and all the topics you present ! please make documentary about Pakistan , the mother land has a lot to discover !
Great that you are here! :-)
If given the chance, like the extinction of the major land, sea, and winged tetrapods, do you think mudskippers would evolve to take their place?
It’s possible, but like any form of speculative evolution of that scale all we can do is guess
I will call it frog of the sea from now
Personally, I think these creatures (along with lungfish) are different enough from actual fish that they deserve their own kind of grouping - not quite fish anymore, but not quite amphibian either. But something else that bridges the gap in evolution.
😲 I'm no longer sure what a fish is.
I love your video
Thanks for supporting our channel!
What do they eat?
Good question!
They're omnivores and prefer to eat worms, crickets, flies, meal worms, beetles, small fish, and small crustaceans. 🦟
@@terramater ic, thank you for the answer, so that's what they graze hmmm
looks like tadpoles of frogs evolved in something elae
I saw your ad
this video has 2,660 views it's not enough more people need to see this

When fish climbs trees
It's like in between a frog and a fish
Their heads look almost toad like.

You are the one of top most biological channel in the planet
They are absolutely one step from being a frog
i just know about nomadic mudskipper
There are 32 living species of mudskipper. :)
magikarp used splash
I wonder what they taste like
Hey ready people the fishes are coming to say hi
Is this how life went from water to land?
'Walking' fish really help scientists to understand how we left the ocean, so you're guessing right! 🌊
poggers fish
So I heard you like Mudskippers.
golden gremlin brought me here
"that children is how dinosaur are from" UwU👌🏻
Why are they even called fish when they run away from water ,
Can’t...
They are much more like frogs
While jumping & skipping across tidal mud flats, some of them really look like 🐸.
Do you like mudskippers?
Their ability to live without water is more exclusive than ability to walk, no?
How about that ugly fish with protruding gills?
Wondering why this channel still has such low number of subscribers ! 🤔
They are the fish late bloomers for evolution into reptiles l😑😑😂😂
me through out this whole video
what that mouth do tho??
Not an average fish though! 😁
Chinese please leave this beautiful creatures...
