Brook demonstrated what real good quality music was all about. Thanks to real singer like him, Jackie Wilson, Sam Cooke and others of the era. New so called singers cant walk in any of those guys footsteps. Thanks for sharing.
Home Style was a great album. I was impressed as a 10 year old, when I heard " Endlessly" on BBC radio, in 1958. I collected everything from then on. I count myself very lucky to see Brook perform live in London, shortly before he passed away.
Thanks. I was just a War Baby in Australia and American music connected me to my rascally father's country. Brook during the Mercury years could chart higher there...there were no separate R&B charts in "Oz." Who knew that a Vice-President of the United States wrote this evergreen?
THE RADIO NEED TO START BACK PLAYING REALLY MUSIC JUST LIKE THIS I AM NOT WITH THE MUSIC OF TODAY TO MUST JUNK MUSIC WITH NON-SINGING PEOPLE WITHOUT LIVE PLAYING BAND HE MAY NOT BE HERE IN THE FLESH BUT IN THE SPIRIT HIS VOICE AND MUSIC PLAY ON AND ON IN THE HEART OF PEOPLE WHO KNOW REAL ARTIST WHEN THEY HEAR IT AND ENJOY LISTEN REGARD HOW OLD THE MUSIC
What a great singer and beautiful song.

The dear Brunon Paul Bielinski needs to explain more unto the world about the 'penman-ship' of this song.
Life is sweet.
Great
Benton getting down back in day
It all in the game. Maxine mathis
Why doesn't some one load on Hither and Thither and Yon? It's one of his best.
I agree. Benton had an amazing voice, but Edwards was the master of this song.
The Four Tops was even better!

Many blessings be upon the dear Miyuki-of-Kiyoshi for all the above-and-very-true sentiments.
Might you be thinking of the Tommy Edwards version of this song?
This is definitely not one of his best efforts; but you can't be brilliant all the time, can you?
One of the worst recordings of him singing this. I wish I could find the version I grew up with. This is is too slow and dragged out. He was a gem
