You also have to be careful with exhaust wrap. I put it on wet, super tight, and it cracked my manifold, and it warped everything so bad I had to cut the studs and the head ended up being warped 26thou. It was fine on the street until the first open track day and then I blew a head gasket and the fun begin. I remedy the it by putting a turbo brace and heat shields.
The exhaust manifold I have that's going on my daily has 304 stainless runners but the runners are very close to one another. Two of them I had to wrap half way and them combined them together. It worked out but would you keep it like that or unwrap it? And thanks again my friend for what you do and for sharing this with us. I just got done doing some T7 head porting and it was nice to see this as soon as I got inside to relax. You seem to be uploading alot of stuff lately that has been answering alot of the questions that I have. I appreciate it greatly!
Thanks bro. I appreciate you. I have two 9-5 wagons and eventually my garage queen is gonna get the works done to it. I want to run about 550 on pump gas and whatever I can get on e-85. I'm in Southeastern New England where e-85 is almost impossible to find but it would be nice to have the e-85 tune for when I visit down south cause who doesn't want to make more power, ya know. I'm really leaning toward picking up one of those last four Super sixes that you've got but in your video addressing its discontinuation you mentioned that the new Evo's your producing have a bearing cartridge that is better and easier to assemble. Will the new Evo turbos your replacing the Super six with also be water cooled? I know you said the Super six didn't need to be water cooled but I like that it is.
