Jonathan is a brilliant interviewer. I thought I couldn't love Michael Douglas' work any more than I did until I saw "Behind the Candelabra". When video rental stores existed I used to go to the Michael Douglas section and loved every film. I watched "War of the Roses" again the other day and enjoyed it just as much as the first couple of times I saw it and I must have seen "The Game" at least 5 times over the years - and "Romancing The Stone" is still one of my all time favorites. He is an icon, just like his Dad. Also, Catherine Zeta-Jones was sooo good in "Feud", she is amazing too.
As a teen -just watched Streets of SF... to see Michael Douglas! A great movie actor, since!

I have the same exact observation.
Because these are all planned interviews. Michael would have asked to speak about his son, and the situation with non violent offenders.
They know what they're talking about before they hit the stage. He chose to talk about it. Good for him.

I thought this was recent till I remembered Kirk Douglas died two years ago at 103 years old.🤔
I thought so too, so when I heard he was still alive, I was happy, coz I thought he was dead. And now I find out he is, that's an old video, lol.🤗 Still funny interview though and his wife is just as lovely and funny, coz on screen she can seem a bit cold, if you don't know her. Loved her in Wednesday on Netflix, as Mrs. Adams, from Tim Burton (Batman and lots of movies with Depp, like Alice... etc.). One thing that did bother me was that John didn't mention 1 of his best movies, Basic Instinct!! Still 1 of my favorite action thrillers and there have been many over the last 35 years. Esp when I finished school and had a lot of free time and after half a year in college, I've seen enough, terrible school, lowsy college. So after that I was 3 yrs with the same guy and almost every day we watched and rewatched lots of vcr videos (in the 90s), 2 or 3 a day minimum, but many times same movie, coz you rented it for a week, came with a vcr you could rent, probably long before you were alive, I'm guessing ofcause, but most on here are young(er) ppl, I gather.
His Father was quite the predator. Poor Wood.
