Wow. I know I'm late to the party but I wonder if the person at Discovery Kununurra relocated to Lake Argyle reception? After paying $70 a night for a patch of dirt she was so rude and it still puts a wrinkle in my brow thinking about it. We didn't eat at the restaurant there out of principle. I'm sorry you had to experience that. Daniel at 16:22. Thats what we were told by the caretaker at the Kununurra Showgrounds (?) and we went early in the morning to experience the beauty of the loop walks. I drove across Ivanhoe Crossing thinking my partner was capturing drone footage as I nailed the perfect speed for the wake behind....nope...he'd forgotten the sd card 😂😂 Another awesome episode ❤

Just had to watch this when I saw Kununurra mentioned! I lived there as a young school boy in the late 60’s and have never had the opportunity to go back but now we are getting close to doing the obligatory lap around Australia again 50+ years later I love to see what others are doing and how they set themselves up. Ok, that's Discovery Parks Kununurra off the list. Some people just don't get it. It's our money that pays their wages. Perhaps that staff member might be better off cleaning ablutions and not be allowed to communicate with customers.

I staid in the same caravan park on my Kimberly trip not very helpful but my big mistake was driving into town to buy some fish and chips while waiting a couple of local youths were running 🏃♀over the roofs and bonnets of parked cars, leaving mine with a damaged bonnet and roof and a huge repair bill

Unfortunately they did not cope with life on the road, they became very anxious and upset and we had to make the hardest decision of our life to give them to a new loving family. We do get updates and they are very settled and living the most wonderful life. It still breaks our heart every day that we had to make this decision and we didn't do it lightly, but it was no longer fair to them to put them through it each day. We hope you understand. We stayed at Discovery Parks Kununurra a couple of years ago and ended up leaving early. It is one park I would never stay at again. We found it pretty ordinary and if it wasn’t for the lake front location no one would stay there.
We were at the Discovery Park back in 2017. We were there for work and stayed 3 months so we had a cabin. I got exactly the same attitude from the woman in the office back then. We had driven from Sydney so took my small 16’ caravan and my dog. When we turned up she freaked out saying I couldn’t have my caravan or dog there even though I said once we unpack our stuff from the van I could take it away and park it at our work site, just needed 30 mins, and they knew the dog was coming which is why my work office booked me in there as they allow dogs. Back then you could hire a tinny but it took 4 attempts before she would let me as she just kept saying “no, there’s nobody here”, not even sure what she meant by that as I was just going to get in the tinny and bugger off for a few hours. I refused to give up and eventually wore her down. It’s a great spot but that’s all

We stayed at the Discovery Kununurra. In 2017 and they were amazing. They went out of their way to get us a day trip to Mitchell Falls (which were all booked out) and having succeeded they had already booked the extra night we needed before they spoke to us. You must have got someone on a bad day, which is such a shame. We have generally found Discovery Parks to be very good.
Absolutely! 😁 They are just black wire window planters in the garden section of Bunnings (with the coconut husk stuff removed), held up by fusion loc suction hooks also from Bunnings 😁
Watched another RUclips the other day where they booked and paid for 30 nights at a discovery park at Albany via the app. Found out on the day of arrival that while there were 30 nights available they would have had to move sites every couple of days to accommodate them. Maybe it’s an app issue but it’s pretty poor form. Give Back 😊
I can't believe that caravan park basically dumped you out. Particularly if you've got proof of paying for 3 nights. Hopefully a rare occurrence. Rest looks amazing! "Give back"

I lived on the road 12 years stayed in caravan parks 2 times only because of break down on brand new van waiting for parts n next time to have my first shower in 2 years n to use washing machine for cloths
Thank for letting people know about that caravan park people with attitude like that along with there high high prices just to stay there need to be exposed, you pay extremely high prices for there caravan parks you would expect them to be nice to you but karma will get them great video 👌

I had rude service at one in Wagga, rude attitude on phone and not much better in person ..... for no apparent reason than that she could!

I lived on the road 12 years stayed in caravan parks 2 times only because of break down on brand new van waiting for parts n next time to have my first shower in 2 years n to use washing machine for cloths

Thank for letting people know about that caravan park people with attitude like that along with there high high prices just to stay there need to be exposed, you pay extremely high prices for there caravan parks you would expect them to be nice to you but karma will get them great video 👌

Have also had issues with Discovery Parks. Possibly need to have a look at staffing attitudes.
We were hoping this was a one off, we haven't had any other problems in 2 yrs on the road and head office were very apologetic.
