I love watching these reactions, seeing "the kid in" people come out. Watching their faces light up with wonder and amazement and all of those emotions that take them all the way back to when they could experience unbridled joy. It's a beautiful and fantastically human thing. I love seeing it - especially with how cynical and jaded and nihilistic society is these days: for a few moments - something seems right with the world. Strange as it sounds, this video clip, enhancing people's childhoods and allowing them to fall in love with it all over again, has brought those brief moments of pure simple happiness to many people. I despise and hold in utter contempt the post modernist idea of "interpretive art": In the Romantic school - art is that which inspires people, *this* is art.
@Mr. Perfect Cell that would be unbelievably awesome and yes we were robbed, mugged, got our purses snatched, our wallets taken, pockets picked, bitch slapped and called girl names in front of our mothers the way that movie went
Vader def wasn't playin in this fight. My man was out for blood and revenge. You can feel the rage in every strike and parry he makes on Obi-Wan Kenobi for leaving him to die on Mustafar. Great reaction dude, 1st vid i've seen of yours, may check out some others in future for sure! especially if it's Star Wars related!
Oh man hell yes... The battle with Kenobi and Anakin on mustafar was maybe the most intense and Darth maul with Kenobi and Qui-gon comes in second. There haven't been any battles I can think of from the newest ones with kylo...SMH
Fam I had to watch this at work the first time I saw it. I was screaming and yelling on the sales floor. Like I had to leave the building because I was bugging!!! The part when they in the hallway in the red lights was reminiscent of when they fought in episode three and all you saw was the colors of their light sabers and then glaring at each other!! Best thing on the net
I like how both Vader and Obi are a little slower but not feeble. It's like Vader and Obi Wan have old man strength and rage and built up aggression. This clip was better than the last two Star Wars films combined in my opinion.
Your Palpatine lines were KILLING me!!! Every time you dropped one I couldn't stop laughing. Also, your inner kid is awsome!!! Always a good thing to see.
I really appreciate your reaction James. This is how you properly revisit a scene that could be improved. Obi-wans regret and Vaders anguish and rage MAKE THIS SCENE. If you left me burning to death on a volcanic beach 20 years ago chopped up into pieces, I would not fight you like they showed in 1977. I would fight you like THIS. Masterclass film editing and story directing showcased here...
thanks man, i'm glad you enjoyed it. i tend to see things other people over look sometimes. Plus the fact i love star wars might play a big part in it.
Yeah, seriously, the first time I saw this I was amazed, still am: but when you hear the flashback memories of episode 3 - holy shit - I had chills the first time I saw that part. This "reimagined" version - where it integrates a fight between the wise but past his prime Jedi Knight against his former apprentice who's now far more powerful than he once was. More over, the fact that the two characters fighting styles were perfectly replicated is masterful. This is the Vader we didn't see in the movies - this was the Vader from the comic books which show what he got up to as Vader after order 66 was executed and he began hunting down the remaining Jedi against the rebellion. After Vader was placed in that suit, which - by the way - limited both his powers and his mobility: he had to completely change his fighting style from when he was a Jedi Knight. Between the change in his mobility combined with having fallen to the dark side his fighting became far more brutal, a lot more power in his strikes and direct assault rather than how flowing and fluid his style was when he saw him in episodes 2 and 3. For the people who never read the comics, the only time you really saw Vader like this was only in very brief glimpses from Empire strikes back. This clip of him fighting in such a violent and unrelenting frontal assault fashion is the Vader most passive Star Wars fans have never seen.
you know i thought the fact that he had the implants or limb replacements limited his movements because the fighting style is alot different from the young anakin days...seems more simplistic but it still works. Definately more powerful strikes. There will never be nothing like the original 4,5,6 episodes. very well done for their time period of when they were released. But i honestly felt every piece of hostility that vader had for kenobi in this fight. i loved every minute of it and i still go back and watch because every time i see more.
@@JamesMasonJFrost21 Yep, there's some various videos which talk in detail about vader's fighting style. It uses a simple and more direct defense with more powerful strikes to keep en enemy unbalanced by the force of the attacks. Djen So/Shien. Yeah though, this is the Vader we only saw in Empire Strikes back and Rogue 1 very briefly. Gone are his fluid flowing motions from episodes 2 and 3: and instead he walks right into the fray using quick, very simple, very tight defense which minimal movement and absolutely brutal direct attacks. Rogue 1 displays it really well, even if it was very short and only against blasters, he steamrolled over those poor bastards. This scene replicates that style against a lightsaber duelist. Those of us who read the comics - we got to see Vader, as seen here, in his full glory as he was hunting down Jedi and enemies of the empire. He's not fearful of belting someone in the face after knocking their lightsaber to the side, or doing a headbutt with his helmet. Vader's real badassery wasn't displayed in the films until that short clip in Rogue 1.
OMG!!! they must have lost their entire shit... everybody went home and turned the lights off and cut the flashlights on. fake light saber fight all over the house....lol
Love this reaction video! The Emperor play by play is perfection. But let’s be real. People aren’t giving old Ben enough props for how lithe he was through that whole fight. Putting out those Palpatine style thrusts... doing the limbo under Dath’s swings... spinning like Yoda... Just letting his padawan work out his anger, never embracing it, just doing what he needs to do. The real winner in this fight was Grand Moff Tarkin. He could care less about their squabbles. He’s tracking their ship and those two are just wasting time. Let Jedis be Jedis.
Best reaction to this! Damn near identical to mine!😂😂😂😭As far as I’m concerned, THIS IS WHAT REALLY HAPPENED!!! Truest perspective of thee Hate Vader would’ve expressed!!! HEAD BUTT! I WAS LIKE 😳🤭😈😈😆😆😵YESSSS MORRRRRRRRE!!!

Do i ever have you watch anything bad 😂 disappointed i didnt get my shout out but i loved your reaction. 🙏 these are the genuine feelings i wanted to see ! Sc stands for scene. Hence why han and them were in it.

very well put observing libertarian... and i agree
Hey man! Loved your reaction, thanks for spreading the word about Scene 38!
It was my absolute pleasure... Will there b more? If so please please please let me know and react to it
@Mr. Perfect Cell that would be unbelievably awesome and yes we were robbed, mugged, got our purses snatched, our wallets taken, pockets picked, bitch slapped and called girl names in front of our mothers the way that movie went
Please let there be more... An alternate Kylo/Luke duel would be amazing.
No way! The Luke/Vader fight in Return of the Jedi in the Emperor's throne room, THAT would be epic!!!
PLEASE MAKE MORE! I WOULD Love atl work for you all in Fan or Featuring film!!
That is one SERIOUSLY pissed off sith. I haven't seen Vader portrayed better anywhere else.
Dont apologize for your inner kid coming out. I came here for the nostalgia and to see the kid.
As did I! This was made to feed the kid in us, and man did it!
Obi Wan: "Only a Master of Ev..." Darth Vader: "Fuck your speech!" mad lightsaber swing! 😂💯

The Emperor’s impression is spot on.
I wish the lastest Star Wars movies had light saber duals as intense as this.

💯 Yes that would be awesome!
Well played, JM ☺ Wonderful, witty, expressive reaction dude. Hello from West London! 😎
The best reaction I've seen. The way you could follow everything so well on your first watch and not have to fake it.

The emotion when it brought dialogue from Revenge of the Sith before Vader strikes Kenobi down man, bringing their fight full circle. Crazy.
