I've got Freedom in Silverstone, but it is way more gray than I am naturally at this time. I may have to try Peggy in Black Onyz to see if it will work better for me. But it looks almost too much black & not enough silver.

Here's how I look at wigs: Everyone is walking around this world with every kind of pretty and icky type of hair in every color and every length. And, everyone is so worried what others will think when the real truth is that all the other people are just as worried about how THEY look and not really caring about the others...except our families who typically never want us to change anything! So, when I put a wig on, I just decide that it's "my hair" and run my fingers in it the way I like it. That's part of the amazing freedom of our wigs - be whoever you want to be and look the way that makes YOU happy! Please yourself first - the others will get used to you! HI Rochelle and Dani, When you demo the wigs ,have they been altered? I had 5,returned 1 and gave 2 away to friends that are going through chemo, and could not afford the purchase.... Freedom and Katie are at home with them ( they are over the moon with the wigs.) so I am going to replace them and NINA and Cristy are looking good. I hope that you consider making Tiffany in the GREYS as I returned her in a blond that washed me out and looked longer than I had seen on you. I really wanted Tiffany but you do not have her in the greys. I now have Sabrina and MY BFF CARLY,.... THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL. THANKS FOR YOUR WONDERFUL, REAL LOOKING WIGS.... THE BEST !!!!
Hi Zulma, Rochelle here! Sounds like you have very lucky friends - very sweet of you to help them during such a challenging time. Maybe you really purchased for them and didn't know it at the time... we have never altered, changed, trimmed, sprayed, styled or even brushed our wigs before we put them on for a video. They are pulled from our stock room and most times, all I see beforehand is the list of names and colors. To us, it would be cheating to alter them in any way other than how you, as a client, would receive it. But, our necks, body types and shapes of our faces can appear to change the looks of the wigs. I love that you are enjoying some of our wigs and I appreciate your comments and your purchases! We are discussing the possibility of Tiffany in greys...it's not a promise though...! I would like to see a wig color like frosted taupe as an example but with the hair around the face grey. I am seeing the grey strands mostly in the bang area. My temples are grey, so if the temples in the wig are brown, I can't blend my own hair in. I don't know if I am explaining it well or not. It's like when you pull the wig behind your ears, my grey temples would show. Make sense?

Dear Sandra, Most of the grey shades are on the cool side - since the grey has more blue in it than golds; which would be warmer. However, many of us just change the shade of our makeup/blush/lipstick/shadow to change up the colors to warm or cool too. I am still watching some makeup videos for warm/cool, but I don't like to be kept in a "color box" of what I "should" be wearing. It just doesn't feel right to me. Whatever makes you happy! Hi Sonja! Yes, Shantel is a machine teased wig. You can tease a machine teased wig as high and full as you like. Bear in mind, that when the wig is new, the fibers are slippery and doesn't tease as easy as when it gets older. To tease a new wig, I suggest that you spritz a little of our "Keep It There" low alcohol hair spray just where you will tease at the root of the wig. The spray will help the wig take the tease. Remove the paper to reveal one sticky side and adhere to the inside of the wig - avoid sticking on the more delicate wefts. Best places are at the hairline, crown and back bottom of the wig. 2. It Stays Glue - this is a roll-on body glue - used like deodorant - it easily washes off in the shower with soap and water. Roll around on wax paper (or other surface) until it feels sticky, then adhere just above your hairline (doesn't have to be a long line - more little sections). Best if not used on the more delicate wefts of hair. You can also adhere it to your crown area, temples and at the back bottom. Put the wig on and press. This is the same glue used to keep bra straps from falling or low tops from opening. You do not need a lot, start with the hairline and wear to see how it feels... 3. Hi Mary, our wigs look healthy. They are treated to last and stay soft and as brand new wigs - which comes off as shine when they're brand new. I have worn our wigs for over 25 years and no one knows I have a wig on - healthy hair has a shine to it. You can choose to dull the shine with a touch of baby powder dusted over it with your hands. Please read the thousands of client reviews. Consider purchasing a shiner for your own hair to help you get more used to hair with a sheen. Hi Saved, Rochelle here! If you wear our wigs every day and maintain them with shampoos and conditioners, we suggest that you replace it after 9 to 12 months. Many people keep their 1 wig too long and they don't notice that it has become dry and flat. Most people own more than 1 wig, and since they are switching wigs (like I do) yes, it can easily last 5 + years of wear. If you do not let the family treat them like costume wigs! Again, maintenance of a beautiful wig really increases the longevity of it's life. And, also, if you wear a wig or hair piece everyday, and find a particular style you love, we suggest that you quickly order another just like it so it will be in the exact dye lot. I have never colored my hair and the only one that is even a far off possibility is Marble brown but I have so much silver in my hair now and I am afraid of not getting close to my color. My Abigail's wig arrived and I was so excited until I looked at it. The high gloss shine screamed wig....wig...wig. It definitely does NOT look anything like the wig these ladies are showing. Are the wigs they are showing the same wigs you get? I paid over $200.00 for my wig and it looked cheap. I sent the thing back.

I've got Freedom in Silverstone, but it is way more gray than I am naturally at this time. I may have to try Peggy in Black Onyz to see if it will work better for me. But it looks almost too much black & not enough silver.

Here's how I look at wigs: Everyone is walking around this world with every kind of pretty and icky type of hair in every color and every length. And, everyone is so worried what others will think when the real truth is that all the other people are just as worried about how THEY look and not really caring about the others...except our families who typically never want us to change anything! So, when I put a wig on, I just decide that it's "my hair" and run my fingers in it the way I like it. That's part of the amazing freedom of our wigs - be whoever you want to be and look the way that makes YOU happy! Please yourself first - the others will get used to you! Freedom and Katie are at home with them ( they are over the moon with the wigs.) so I am going to replace them and NINA and Cristy are looking good. I hope that you consider making Tiffany in the GREYS as I returned her in a blond that washed me out and looked longer than I had seen on you. Hi Zulma, Rochelle here! Sounds like you have very lucky friends - very sweet of you to help them during such a challenging time. Maybe you really purchased for them and didn't know it at the time... we have never altered, changed, trimmed, sprayed, styled or even brushed our wigs before we put them on for a video. They are pulled from our stock room and most times, all I see beforehand is the list of names and colors. To us, it would be cheating to alter them in any way other than how you, as a client, would receive it. But, our necks, body types and shapes of our faces can appear to change the looks of the wigs. I love that you are enjoying some of our wigs and I appreciate your comments and your purchases! We are discussing the possibility of Tiffany in greys...it's not a promise though...! I would like to see a wig color like frosted taupe as an example but with the hair around the face grey. I am seeing the grey strands mostly in the bang area. My temples are grey, so if the temples in the wig are brown, I can't blend my own hair in. I don't know if I am explaining it well or not. It's like when you pull the wig behind your ears, my grey temples would show. Make sense?

Dear Sandra, Most of the grey shades are on the cool side - since the grey has more blue in it than golds; which would be warmer. However, many of us just change the shade of our makeup/blush/lipstick/shadow to change up the colors to warm or cool too. I am still watching some makeup videos for warm/cool, but I don't like to be kept in a "color box" of what I "should" be wearing. It just doesn't feel right to me. Whatever makes you happy! And, we're thrilled you found us!

Hey Ladies...is the shantal wig that Danielle is wearing machine teased? Does it have any height?
Hi Sonja! Yes, Shantel is a machine teased wig. You can tease a machine teased wig as high and full as you like. Bear in mind, that when the wig is new, the fibers are slippery and doesn't tease as easy as when it gets older. To tease a new wig, I suggest that you spritz a little of our "Keep It There" low alcohol hair spray just where you will tease at the root of the wig. The spray will help the wig take the tease. How to secure your wig if you have NO hair:

1. Double Sided Tape - You can cut the pieces and add them to the inside of the wig so they stick on. Remove the paper to reveal one sticky side and adhere to the inside of the wig - avoid sticking on the more delicate wefts. Best places are at the hairline, crown and back bottom of the wig.
2. It Stays Glue - this is a roll-on body glue - used like deodorant - it easily washes off in the shower with soap and water. Roll around on wax paper (or other surface) until it feels sticky, then adhere just above your hairline (doesn't have to be a long line - more little sections). Best if not used on the more delicate wefts of hair. You can also adhere it to your crown area, temples and at the back bottom. Put the wig on and press. This is the same glue used to keep bra straps from falling or low tops from opening. You do not need a lot, start with the hairline and wear to see how it feels...
3. Sure Grip is a silicone band that wraps once around your head and attaches with velcro. Your wig will attach to it, keeping the wig secure.
4. Wig caps - COTTON is for a smaller or more sensitive head. (Typically a wig will not feel abrasive to a head - however during chemo, our heads can feel sensitive in the beginning and so this helps.
Wig cap - NYLON is much thinner and lighter, if your hair has recently released and your scalp is slippery, the nylon wig cap helps the wig to stay secure. As your hair grows back, the little 'knubs' will grab onto the wig and you probably won't need anything to help secure it!
5. Wig Grip Bands - very popular! Comes in 4 colors and petite, average and large. We have videos to show you - read our happy client comments!
6. Wig Grip Cap - same as Wig Grip Band, but a larger full cap.
7. If you are having hair loss, a sleep cap is excellent to sleep in and also collects hair instead of on your pillow, etc.

Are you telling me that your wigs will not be shiny and more realistic looking? I have found 2 that I like.
Hi Mary, our wigs look healthy. They are treated to last and stay soft and as brand new wigs - which comes off as shine when they're brand new. I have worn our wigs for over 25 years and no one knows I have a wig on - healthy hair has a shine to it. You can choose to dull the shine with a touch of baby powder dusted over it with your hands. Please read the thousands of client reviews.
Consider purchasing a shiner for your own hair to help you get more used to hair with a sheen. Women spend billions of dollars a year on it, and when we have made wigs without a sheen, clients complain that the wigs look old and worn. Hope this helps and thanks for writing in! xoxo Ro

How long do these last, 5-10 yrs of wear?
Hi Saved, Rochelle here! If you wear our wigs every day and maintain them with shampoos and conditioners, we suggest that you replace it after 9 to 12 months. Many people keep their 1 wig too long and they don't notice that it has become dry and flat. Most people own more than 1 wig, and since they are switching wigs (like I do) yes, it can easily last 5 + years of wear. If you do not let the family treat them like costume wigs! Again, maintenance of a beautiful wig really increases the longevity of it's life. And, also, if you wear a wig or hair piece everyday, and find a particular style you love, we suggest that you quickly order another just like it so it will be in the exact dye lot. This way, you have one for every day and keep one for nice occasions. Hope this helps!

I have never colored my hair and the only one that is even a far off possibility is Marble brown but I have so much silver in my hair now and I am afraid of not getting close to my color. My Abigail's wig arrived and I was so excited until I looked at it. The high gloss shine screamed wig....wig...wig. It definitely does NOT look anything like the wig these ladies are showing. Are the wigs they are showing the same wigs you get? I paid over $200.00 for my wig and it looked cheap. I sent the thing back.
