It's good to hear the only song from Sonic Spinball get some much needed love. It was really considerate of the game designers to not make any other stages beyond that one and only stage.
It gets hate because most people expected it to be like the other sonic games, but instead it was a pinball game. If it did what mean bean machine did and labeled itself in a way that made it clear it wasn't your average sonic game it probably would be more fondly remembered in general. Like "Robotnik's Spinball Machine" or something.
Between the tune of this song and the way it was covered, this wouldn't be out of place in a Guilty Gear game. Also, serious love for giving this song some attention. It was always one of my favorites from the genesis era.
Honestly, all the Dust OST needs love. But I feel like Jonny would enjoy doing Everdawn Basin the most. Maybe even Let's End This. But that's mostly his choice
Wow, what an amazing & great Rock Cover of the Toxic Caves Zone!!!! :-) Thank you very much for covering my favorite level from the best Sonic game ever, Sonic Spinball!!! You've earned one more follower. You rock!
Man, I was excited enough when you did Toxic Caves in the Sonic Medley 2--so happy it got a full version on the Side-Quests album!! Growing up, I was never any good at the traditional 2D Sonic games, so Spinball was one of the few games on the Mega Collection I could actually play. But then, I was never particularly good at IT either, so I spent a lot of time in the Toxic Caves! :P That music IS Spinball for me.
fun fact: due to time constraints, the game was coded in C rather than machine assembly language, from the American Sega Techincal Institute while Sega of Japan was busy coding Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, but would not be ready in time (released in 1994). SEGA however needed "something" to release for the 1993 holiday season, and hence Sonic Spinball was built in a pretty narrow time frame, not without code optimization issues. But as always, the OST kicks ass.
Awesome cover! I'd LOVE to see the Lava Powerhouse theme in this style! (Maybe even the Options theme, too! It'd be a challenge, but you could probably make it sound good.)
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO COVER THIS FOR YEARS That said, I think this would have been stronger opening with the bassline instead of the synth melody.
Love the new camera angle! Also I would like to request a few songs. Zero's theme from Kirbys Dream Land 3 The Final Finale from Battleblock Theater Haltmann's theme from Kirby Planet Robobot and all of the Dark Matter themes from Kirby
Please do Lava Powerhouse some time in the future. It is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE from Sonic Spinball. (Then again, the game really only has 3 soundtracks to make note of...)
Rearranged your room, Jonny? Was that what the two days was for? Or was it something else? But anyway, *LOVIN'* this remix! Toxic Caves was easily one of my favorite jukebox Generations songs, and I've ALWAYS loved pinball, even if I've never actually played Sonic Spinball...shame on me. I was really happy when I heard it in the Genesis Fan Medley, but this is even better! Thanks for the full GaMetal treatment, man. -I still really want to hear your take on Palkia's Onslaught, though.- Edit: Never mind, forget I said he rearranged it; everything on the shelves is knocked over! Let's see how long it is before he notices...
I had a strange dream where Sonic and friends went to what was left of Eggman's fortress from Spinball, only instead of doing pinball stuff, it was a 3D sidescroller beatem up
Such a good sound track...Now speaking of underrated games/OST, how about an ARMS cover or two? Eh? Maybe Name Redacted, Sky Arena, or one of the Hedlok on Max Brass or Dr. Coyle themes? Good stuff I tells ya!
This is literally the only stage theme I heard from the game since I couldn't even make it past Level 1.
Icsir3 I only ever got to stage 2 lol
Honestly you're not missing anything significant cause imo, it goes down hill after the first stage.
Yeah I heard that the game is pretty mediocre.
Legends say that Sonic Spinball has more than one stage. However, no one has being able to prove or deny this legend.
Pretty much is unfortunately.
It's good to hear the only song from Sonic Spinball get some much needed love. It was really considerate of the game designers to not make any other stages beyond that one and only stage.
The mobile version of Sonic Spinball literally have Toxic Caves as their only music track.
System509 Options music
Yeah....NO on the options/credits music
System509
Lava Powerhouse, The Machine, Boss, This and Showdown.
Best songs in the game right here^
@@Cinko420 that's... Pretty much all of the songs in the game, except the bonus game music
This song makes me wish for a Modern Toxic Caves Stage
Sonic generations may still happen
That would be so cool! An underwater section with the Rexxon chasing Sonic, dodging acid, and some pinball-like set pieces
Fucky action
Dude!!! You absolutely Crushed this! Awesome Stuff! :D
The8BitDrummer Alert!
*EMERALD POWER*
Crushed, As in, Crush,
Crush
Crush
*CRUSH*
*CRUSH 40?*
Eh, not as good as your 2-Player DRMBM, but still great.
Such underappreciated game. Then again, I'm probably one of the few that like this game since everyone mostly hates this spin-off.
MoonSpirit I loved it!
Steven Prosperous
Here too, I've reached the Machine, but not much farther.
Hah, a spin-off? Nice pun :)
Hobo Joe No, it gets hate because it's aged really poorly and the physics are janky. The concept is incredible.
Jump up!
*NO SERIOUSLY JUMP UP, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR*
Between the tune of this song and the way it was covered, this wouldn't be out of place in a Guilty Gear game.
Also, serious love for giving this song some attention. It was always one of my favorites from the genesis era.
It was actually used in a fan made fighting game called sonic smackdown
@@GeebusCrust Thats rad actually, I've been meaning to take a look at it since I heard about the newest version coming out!
I can't tell you how long I've been trying to get somebody to cover this song. Glad I finally got you to do it, because holy crap is this amazing!
WORM BAGGED!
I can’t stop watching 1:39 to 2:10 the best solo you did yet Jonny!
Everdawn Basin, from Dust: An Elysian Tail.
I shouldn't have to elaborate. We need this.
Oh man, I forgot about this game
Abadis Forest too, or is that too mainstream?
Honestly, all the Dust OST needs love. But I feel like Jonny would enjoy doing Everdawn Basin the most. Maybe even Let's End This. But that's mostly his choice
This Toxic Caves (Modern) Remix goes crazy
It’s good to know that someone actually remembers this game. I had this game on Sonic mega collection and I love this game
1:39 *Holy SHIET!* amazing...
Ikr hahahaha
Wow, what an amazing & great Rock Cover of the Toxic Caves Zone!!!! :-)
Thank you very much for covering my favorite level from the best Sonic game ever, Sonic Spinball!!!
You've earned one more follower.
You rock!
I was randomly searching RUclips just to see if something like this even existed. I was not disappointed. Thanks man
Holy perspective change Batman!
I'm also very happy that this got a full cover.
Mmmmmmmmm I had forgotten about this song, but you sure as heck have brought it back to the limelight of my mind. Great job yet again!

You got Sonic Adventure 2 in my Sonic Spinball!!
CLUCK ALERT!

All Sonic covers are good choices from you.
Man, Persona's so long overdue. No better time than the present, man.
The new camera angle is nice!
That's a nice new camera angle! Thanks for the new video too. Good job as always.
Ah, beautiful as always.
Great work! Loved these covers man they are sick and I really appreciate the mixing, sounds great with my headphone amp!
Awesome cover! I'd LOVE to see the Lava Powerhouse theme in this style! (Maybe even the Options theme, too! It'd be a challenge, but you could probably make it sound good.)
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO COVER THIS FOR YEARS
That said, I think this would have been stronger opening with the bassline instead of the synth melody.
Love the new setup. And Mewtwo's finally not hanging from a shelf, so that's a double plus :D
OMG I love this theme, and your arrangement is even better, now I wanna play Sonic's pinball again!
that one dislike will get eaten by the monster thing in the water
this song is amazing
I'm listening to this right in the morning. And thank you for waking me up and bringing a smile to my face! :)
Brutal! Good work, Jonny :D
This is a God's masterpiece!! That guitar solo it´s so beatiful!!
Damn, you're on a roll lately. Great cover!
Man, that was awesome. You got talent!
Oh finally! I've wanted this for a long time! Great cover!
This was great! Also super hyped for the next song
GLORIOUS.
Oh, that's pretty cool! I would've liked to hear the final level and/or boss theme in your rendition, personally.
Sonic Spinball always had an intense industrial feel to the soundtrack.
Happy Birthday Sonic ^^
Holy.
This is amazing. I love it.
This rocks somethin fierce. love it
Aw hell yeah!!!! I remember playing this game!!!!! I think i still have my sonic mega collection plus. Nice to see this game getting acknowledged!!
1:39 "HANG ON SONIC!" *guitar solo intensifies*
this camr out really good dude awesome cover
Aww yeah! Nice to see someone else who appreciates this game, too!
A real lost classic, I say.
Jun Senoue would be proud, that's for sure.
This is badass. Liked, Favorited, and shared. 🤘😠🤘
Worm bagged
HOLY SHIT THIS IS AMAZING! I LOVE THE ORIGINAL BUT THIS IS JUST GLORIOUS!
Perfect!
Head-banged the whole time
I really love this song, and it's a good job too as I rarely could pass this stage. X'D
Holy Shit Jonny GOD BLESS YOU DUDE HAHAHAHA AMAZING, AMAZING
Bro, this sounds like a goddamn BLOODY ROAR TRACK~💖💕💖💕🔥🔥🔥
FUCK YES
HELL. FUCKING. YES.
"READY TO FRY??"
By the way, the accoustic short is pure awesomeness.
Would you ever take a look at Quartz Quadrant Present JP version? it would be awesome to hear a rocking cover of it by you!
QQ Present JP is underrated. Better than Stardust Speedway.
Wanna play this now.
*sees that Smash 4 dvd in the background*
*is reminded I lost mine in like 2 weeks*
*cries softly*
I love this
YEEESS, love this song!
Can you do Lightning Battle from Kid Icarus Uprising?
YASS!!!!!!!!!!
Kweby Kweby or the aurim theme
Don't get your hopes up, he just announced he'll NEVER do this song
holy shit
a spinball cover
my life is complete
*YOU NEED 3K LIKES, GOOD LUCK!*
Love the new camera angle! Also I would like to request a few songs.
Zero's theme from Kirbys Dream Land 3
The Final Finale from Battleblock Theater
Haltmann's theme from Kirby Planet Robobot
and all of the Dark Matter themes from Kirby
RyGuy040 Especially Tomorrow since Is Kirby's 25th anniversary!
I agree with Battleblock. Just to hear Jonny shouting: RUN!
Dreams of Absolution from Sonic 06! because im interested to see how you would imput your voice into it
Please do Lava Powerhouse some time in the future. It is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE from Sonic Spinball. (Then again, the game really only has 3 soundtracks to make note of...)
This brings back (better) memories of me playing this on Game Gear.
This music is pumping
Nice touch
If you want it to be more game accurate play it at 0.75 speed, regardless this cover is amazing great job!
This was in your Classic Sonic medley video, right? Awesome choice as usual, Jonny!
Hh... Pretty dark in here! Better follow the sound of that sweet guitar!
It's almost May!!! Hype train is boarding.
Remember the old comic tie in?
this is epic
OH dang dat real good ost dere
1:06 LET'S FUCKIN GOOOO, GAMETAL!!!
I had a strange dream where Sonic and friends went to what was left of Eggman's fortress from Spinball, only instead of doing pinball stuff, it was a 3D sidescroller beatem up
Incorporating the "monster gonna gitcha" in the solo
I heard that, fam.
Still my favourite solo so good!
OMG this is SO good. I'd LOVE to hear Showdown too! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH The Final Zone from Sonic 1!!!
I didn't know this remix existed aaaa
It took forever to beat the first level yet I died after the boss
that guitar is so sick LOL
Hire this guy for the HD Remaster of this stage.
awesome
This sounds so much like it came straight from Sonic Adventure. Are we completely sure this wasn't a scrapped track that they just happened to find?
Its Jun Senoue-ish
Maybe Balloon Park from Sonic 3 & Knuckles next?
Now THIS should be a Sonic RPG fight theme.
BAGGED A WORM!
やっぱゲーム曲はいいね!!
Final Cackletta (^w^)b
Such a good sound track...Now speaking of underrated games/OST, how about an ARMS cover or two? Eh? Maybe Name Redacted, Sky Arena, or one of the Hedlok on Max Brass or Dr. Coyle themes? Good stuff I tells ya!
This game was released in 1993 as a small shot of sonic so the developers could focus on completing S3&K.
