-5C outside, radiators needed bleeding badly so I did that and had a flashing 0.1 to 0.2 bar error. Emergency callout said tomorrow... for a house with a vulnerable elderly woman in it. They claimed they had videos on their website (local council housing) but didn't have anything. Your video showed me instantly it was these and not the ones lower on the pipes going into a cleaning bottle thing and back. Now I know what to do in the future. Thanks!
Thank u so much👍🙏this vid saved me yesterday, started dying hairs and when wanted to wash them there was no warm water🤣Glad I found this vid and was able to do it myself! 🙏Thank you
Thanks for the explanation of the repressurising of heating systems. As a layman, I never could properly examine and understand how it worked and why [I won't fiddle with my boiler other than to do a repressurise!] and now I do. :-)
That's one family of Afghan refugees now getting warm again in these sub-zero temperatures! I was turning the valves on and off one at a time - I failed to notice the braided hose loop. Many thanks.
Thanks so much for your help. Boiler not been working since Saturday and house very cold. Followed your instructions and hey presto, came on straight away 😀
Legend! My boilers instructions said 'open the blue tap'!! There is no blue tap?! As soon as you said about the two taps, i tried & hey presto!! Thanks mate
You are Top Man! Thanks for the good advice. I bled the rads....no air. I got fault code f9 indicating low pressure....pressure valve 0.8 so too low for boiler to operate. Located 2 valves and had to use allen key to open valves for 20secs and closed them again. Pressed reset button. Boiler fired ok. Bar press 1.1 on gauge.cheers Alan
Video is really helpful. I have a question if you wouldn’t mind helping, my valve is passing water slowly in the closed mode causing the pressure to rise. What is the best way to remediate this myself? Turn it open and closed a few times to hopefully shut it? Thanks!
Thank you. Liked and shared matey. Very clear instructions that even I could follow and an explanation of what’s happening and possible reasons, also appreciated thank you again. Have a great day. Xx
Brill video, I have a question though, when I set my pressure to 1 bar, and then put the heating on with a 65 degree Celsius, the pressure goes up to nearly three bar which my boiler seems to think is overpressure (the manual says 2.75 bar is the recommended maximum) is that because the boiler is too large for my house? I only have a small 3 bed with maybe 8 rads but have an ultracom 30cxi Would it be better to run it at 0.8 bar or maybe 0.7 bar, or should I turn down the temps?
That was brilliant thanks Alan , it worked for me and saved me from calling an out of hours gas engineer, sending positive karma towards you! Merry Christmas.
Hi Allen, Overfilled my flexicon 30cx to 3.2 !!!! Boiler went off no digital display and green light on small wall unit went off, I have bled a radiator 4xtimes about 100ml each time, do I need to bleed more water off?, the unit across the room is still working, please advice me😢
Hi accidently filled my flexicon 30cx to 3.2 !!!! Boiler went off no digital display and green light on the unit on the wall went off. I had a go at bleeding a radiator x 4times taking about 100ml out each time my hand operating unit across the room is still working do I need to take more water out please, sian

Hi Allan! Any tips on if I can’t see where to read the pressure at all!? We have a Glow Worm 15hxi, and there’s no dial or digital read out but we suspect low pressure. How can we measure this? Thank you!
I have the glow worm ultracom 12hxi that looks same as in your movie but, on mine there are no taps as you are showing, there's only the Gas pipe, what is going on? where else these pipes can be? cheers
Allen, help please! I just watched half your video and heard you say top up to 1.1, 1.2, or 1.3 I went for 1.3 but then I noticed instructions on my boiler said stop at 1.0. Water is leaking from underneath now, what should I do? Is pressure too high?
I need to repressurise my glow worm boiler, but those plastic valves/taps are just useless, i.e. they don't operate the valve anymore. I took them off and tried to use a flathead screwdriver to open the valve but it started to turn in the slot, as the copper is so soft. Any ideas? I'm down to 0.6 bar. When it gets to 0.5, the system will shut down. 😞
Tried topping up my pressure as it's on 0.3 but it won't go up. Finding an engineer is nigh on impossible so no hit water or heating for our family for 4 days now. I'll certainly be keeping it serviced from now on. We have one long red tap 2 foot from bottom of boiler. Then in sequence a Red, Yellow. Blue, Red tap directly underneath. Not of them seem to do anything after quarter turning them. Just stays on 0.3. Rang Glow Wirm and they said get an engineer but nobody is getting back to me unfortunately. Hope you can help.
Dead important, checking the vessel charge. Is it worth doing a video showing the correct way to charge a vessel Allen? I could do a video next time I get a flat vessel, I’ll try to make it as good as possible😄
On my glow worm boiler we have f75 issue but when I check underneath the boiler we don't have water valves to turn for the water to come through and there is no loop. Where else would these be
My boiler says the pressure is up but when I restart it clearly says the bar is 1.0 and won’t start. I try too up but nothing seems to be happening can’t hear water running topping anything up and my bar says it’s basically full. Definitely an error with the system. I have someone due out in a few days but what I can I do in the meantime please.
@@AllenHart999 many thanks. O figured that as it was off the last time I had to repressurise last year, I switched it off, pressurised it and then switched back on
I've got the same boiler as this and it seems to be set to a timer, Warm in the evening and arctic cold in the morning 🧣🧤 how do i turn off this timer? i would rather be able to turn the heating up or down manually
Can any qualified gas safe professional explain what I need to do to obtain gas safe licence? From what I gather, the ACS official site states that many courses on offer today are not a recognized accreditation to allow someone to become applicable for ACS examination, such as city&guilds etc, I gathered that I'm suppose to be in the work place under supervision of a ACS qualified professional and then complete a portfolio of tasks that are evidence of my proficiency that when complete allow me to take final exam? Is that correct? Where can I get this portfolio list and where is best place to take exam and which ones as there seem to be loads? Any advice here would be much, much appreciated. Thanks.
I have a betacom2 28 the pressure constantly dropping and one rad is cold at the bottom but hot at the top how do I top up the pressure and will that deal with the rad issue
