It's the typical ego of Australian drivers to think they're the best driver on the road, everyone else is bad and should get out of their way. I had a friend who used to think he was a great driver and everyone else is a d-head. Then he lost his license and when he finally confessed, "Oh I was driving home from church on the Easter long weekend, this guy in front of me on a 1 lane each way road kept slowing down and speeding up at overtake portions, so I just sped past time and a cop happened to be around the bend 500m down the road. He pulled me over and asked me why I was going so fast, and I told him about the d-head driving fast/slow, and then pointed at the car as it drove past. He said I was doing 60 over but was booking me for 45 so my car wouldn't be crushed". There were so many holes in that story, he was just driving like a d-head. Once he got his license back he turned into your typical "state revenue raising bull sh*t" type of driver.

The traffic light was linked to the railroad, so if a train is coming, that light will not turn green. I looked and a cop stopped behind me. Sure enough the mournful wail of a train horn sounded and bells and lights started going off. The guy backed up into the space I had left for him then I saw the cop get out of his car and walked up to my window. He asked how old I was, then told me that what I had done was an impressive example of good driving. Then he walked up to talk to the guy ahead. U saw the guy nod and hand something to the cop who then walked back to me and said, "The other driver wanted to thank you." and he handed me a $20 bill! Cops are usually first on scene of motor vehicle accidents. Once you've picked up the bloody pieces of a few dozens corpses smeared on the road, you may think differently.
I’m not sure if it’s slow per se, and I don’t know that road, but once you get out of metro areas it’s pretty common to have to keep left. When I lived in rural Victoria the cops made a mint off all the people coming up from Melbourne who were just used to sitting in the right lane at all times. Still no clue why they pulled in front of them tbh? That seems like it just makes things confusing.
Australia sure is a beautiful country from what I see in this video. But your drivers are just like ours here in the southern USA! Glad your police are as vigilant as ours are. Thanks for sharing..
The Wyoming LEOs, at least those in the western half of the state, are, too, and I love it - keeps the crazies at bay, and we do get some crazies here, because our interstates (all 4-lane except sometimes in the big cities like Cheyenne, Casper, Gillette, and Laramie) are 80mph but most of the highways are only 70 (they're almost all 2-lane except around towns, and sometimes even then), so some people feel the need to speed on the highways, even though the insane crosswinds we sometimes get make it necessary for the speed limit to be that (wind speeds high enough that passing a semi going the other direction, the instant you're past it, you get throw sideways so violently that, even in a loaded down full size pickup, you end up halfway onto the shoulder, if not further, unless you steer it just right; anyone who tells me they like to speed, I tell them that I dare them to do that at 70mph and only then to come back and tell me they still don't see the point in going the speed limit); when my aunt (who pretty much always speeds) from a different state was getting ready to come out and visit me several years ago, I had to warn her that our LEOs are so on top of it that they will pull over cars that are going even just 5 over, so she'd better not speed or she _would_ get pulled over - they have just enough well-placed speed traps that they man just often enough that it doesn't take much for them to do their job effectively.
May I just say "Good On Ya!" to the folks who are willing to post video of themselves getting done! Congratulations for putting yourself out there as a lesson in humble pie 🥧🥧🥧👍👍👍👍

As an American driver, I find myself learning more and more about the laws of Australia (of what not to do) by looking at what the ticketed ones are doing.
The ONE THING that gets me about these karma videos is the commentary. The dash cam owners are sooooooooo happy when they see someone get done but will whinge and cry like babies when THEY get done like it shouldn't happen to them. Murphy's Law folks. EVERYONE does stupid stuff at sometime no matter how careful a driver you think they are. The author of this comment included.
Depends on the state (but I think they are all very similar). But in South Australia it's keep left unless overtaking on roads over 80kmph. 80kmph roads and under are fair game for both lanes.
Come to America and see how bad the left lane hoggers are here. "Let me park here in the left lane and do 55mph in a 70. 70 is much too fast and I'm gonna keep you safe!"
Amazes me so many van drivers speeding do fast. Vans aren't particularly stable for sudden manoeuvres and offer very little passenger protection even they hit something.
This was best viewed muted as listening to the Karens, knob jockeys and perfect drivers applauded and screech at someone getting pulled over was so cringe.
4:15 Bit of mid 80's rock there with W.A.S.P and Wild Child, not heard that for a while. Also, what is it with all the people in the furthest overtaking lane, I know in some areas and certain roads you can use any lane in Australia, but holding up traffic, or just sitting there, real dipbleep move.
In multi lane roads where there are traffic lights and the speed limit is 60 or 70, a lot of people have to turn right and/or a lot of people pull out from side streets and petrol stations, meaning being in the middle or right lane is safer and more practical. But anything like a motorway or freeway, I completely agree that no matter how fast you are going, you should keep left unless overtaking. It's also the law. The problem is that some people doing 105 in a 110 zone think they have every right to be in the right lane at all times. It's actually a safety hazard because undertaking on the left is far more dangerous than overtaking on the right.
These instant karma video's are strangely satisfying in a way not easy to describe. Just begs a question, with all the lock downs and empty streets, why do people feel the need to speed? Not like they're getting stuck in traffic anywhere.
I don’t laugh at people getting pulled over for speeding. Who doesn’t speed occasionally. Most people are laughing in relief that it isn’t them, or they are arses. I laugh at people being obnoxious or driving dangerously and getting pulled over. These videos fit both categories.
I was amazed by the guy who went through the red light at racing speed and the dude who used the bike lane to speed run a red light in front of all those waiting cars.

12:08 me after finishing my day watching an aussie dash cam compilation
That last scene took my breath! Successfully splitting lanes with a commercial truck & flying through a red light--whoa!
I have never yet seen somebody get done for failing to give way, and as a motorcyclist that is what is gonna kill me one day.
My dad at 5am in pitch black failed to give way at a roundabout and it turned out he didn’t give way to a cop car😂
@@gabriellamacciocca3228 We had a guy on a roundabout stop and give way to our ambulance late one night. Not another car in sight and we double checked we didn’t have our lights or siren on. Craziest thing.
Thought he was a bit hard on the p-plater, bloke behind him did the right thing and the p-plater knew what was going on! You should learn from your mistakes, not be crucified for them.
Yeah, typical Highway Patrol. Vindictive, nasty, quota-driven (and incompetent to boot).
If the P-plater " knew what was going on "....wouldn't have entered without causing obstruction. Clearways are clearways for a reason...see how they fair up against a 300 tonne/100kmh train crossing.....no cop being hard....just telling their parents they're dead.
Cops are usually first on scene of motor vehicle accidents.
Once you've picked up the bloody pieces of a few dozens corpses smeared on the road, you may think differently.
Did... did I see the cop pull over a slow driver hogging the right hand lane at 1:00? You're awesome!

It really is but yes, idiots are global 😂😂
May I just say "Good On Ya!" to the folks who are willing to post video of themselves getting done! Congratulations for putting yourself out there as a lesson in humble pie 🥧🥧🥧👍👍👍👍

"People are hypocrites" your insight is quite novel my friend :)
Love Mack drivers laugh when cop got the dude flying past 😂
So it’s not just in the UK that get annoying lane hoggers, even some of these cam cars are doing it 🤦🏻♂️
Depends on the state (but I think they are all very similar). But in South Australia it's keep left unless overtaking on roads over 80kmph. 80kmph roads and under are fair game for both lanes.

Amazes me so many van drivers speeding do fast. Vans aren't particularly stable for sudden manoeuvres and offer very little passenger protection even they hit something.
You'd actually be quite surprised how well they manoeuvre, if you watch some on the track you can see they handle really well.
Nothing is more evil than an Aussie laugh when someone fucks up and gets caught xD Makes me proud

CLASSIC
Wow, that was just amazing. You took a forest down!
How sad must your life be if watching someone being pulled over makes you hysterically laugh
That isn't how you spell "happy" lol

These instant karma video's are strangely satisfying in a way not easy to describe. Just begs a question, with all the lock downs and empty streets, why do people feel the need to speed? Not like they're getting stuck in traffic anywhere.
That feeling is Schadenfreude if I'm correct.
