Great overview!! I just ordered one :D Any idea what the antenna beam form is on these or from experience how they do if mounted higher? If I mounted one at chest height would it give me any issues with coverage for things on a desk etc? Trying to get above some furniture in a home and I have wall access but not ceiling access. I'm pretty experienced with Unifi stuff just haven't used one of these.
The focus is away from the wall so provided you are in front of it you should not have any issues at all regardless of the height. It is also possible to wall mount the other APs like the U6+ which would be a cheaper option. Thanks for watching 🙏

Thank you
No problem. Thanks for watching!
Hello. What is the controller? Is that the software to control the access points? I have a bT router. Thanks
Yes that is exactly what it is, it a piece of software which centrally manages your Unifi Network. It will not control the BT Router.
Are those things omnidirectional ? they emmit to the front only ? they should be close to the floor ? what if i install it near the ceiling ?
They are omni directional. Higher is always better but these are designed for retro fit where Ethernet sockets are required.
of course they are designed to fit into USA style backplates
Absolutely but they still work on the UK ones. They don’t quite fit properly on a UK double which is a shame. Thanks for watching!
