Thanks. I played with Unifi a few years back and went back to my Cisco SG2xx/3xx setup. The Unifi was working well for about 5 months and then it all went to hell. After 2 months of calling no joy, ripped it out. Two of my friends also were using it and also got rid of it. We shared some issue and also experience different issue because of what we were doing/using. I have been working with networking for several years. Just got the TP-Link SG3210X-M2 switch as I want to have a faster backbone for the my home storage & VM system. You would think after all these years that they would improve the software. Requiring to have java.

I'm going to use PPSK for smart home devices because you can only have so many SSIDs active. I want each manufacturer on a different VLAN. I have a separate radio for 5/6Ghz phones and tablets.

if the internet was 1gig speed then the cat5e or cat6 would give a fixed 1gig speed? is that correct?

As a useful tip; the app (IOS) gives you the option of ‘advanced settings’ after a failed Internet test during adoption. You can click on the IPV4 drop down to select PPPOE and change to the config mentioned above (for BT residential users) Thanks for the vid mate!

What do the PPPoE credentials actually provide the third party router? IP addresses too? I have a BT Smart Hub 2 which I'm about swap out. Logging onto it, it lists my broadband address of 81.x.y.z a default gateway of 172.x.y.z and my LAN side is the typical 192 address range. Will those be replicated across? I assume I'd need to manually change the LAN side to match my current range on the router? Great videos on your channel btw. I've now subscribed

Great video! I set this up and it worked, however when my WAN IP address changed, although my UDM shows the correct IP address, it doesn't update the IP address on DuckDNS. I even tested pasting the same URL into my browser and getting a successful "OK" response. Any idea where this process can be breaking?

How would you setup access to a computer on the local network you're connecting to through the openvpn so you can access a shared folder? or will it just automatically be available by navigating to either the PC name or by it's IP address i.e. \\LTS-fileshare\

I have 3 ubiquiti unifi 6 ceiling mounts in my house I used the second 2 as wall mounts as they are hid and don’t care wat they looked like .. because the wall mounts in unifi 6 were discontinued and the WiFi 7 were twice the price so that’s why I used the ceiling mounts on the walls they do the same job .. but I wanted to change the names on the units actually only one in particular the one upstairs in the music studio.. Can you assign multiple devices to each entry? I'm going to set this up as a gate access intercom at a personal residence and want the directory to show: Main House, Guest House and Shop, each of which will have an access viewer, but I'd love it if it also pushed a notification to the owners iphone Access app, so if a delivery arrives when he is not home, he can answer it through the app and open the gate. Is that possible? (So when someone pushed Main House, it would simultaneously ring the main house access viewer and the owners access app on mobile)

Hi great video. With your phone demo does the phone needs to be on the same network as the door access? Or can the phone connect to other private network and just have internet access to login to Unifi account?

Great video. Ubiquiti needs to fix the issue with requiring door attendants to be admins. This is an obvious oversight on their part.

For commercial use my hope is they'll come out with a 70v version.

Thank you, with my Reolink camera I had to navigate to the camera's Reolink ui via IP: Settings > Network > Advanced > server Settings > I had to enable http and onvif. Then it showed up like magic :D The same quality as a Ubiquiti £150 for £40 from Reolink :D I did buy their cloud key 2 + ... so they still got my money :D

I think it's as good start, looks nice enough, but lacks in features as others have commented. In this price range it would also be nice to see some bass management for the sub out, a high pass filter at least.

Gave this a go and it took 3 hours to install for the first time. You would think Yale would make it easy to install. But not they make it difficult so you pay an expert to come in and install it. Once set up its working perfectly now. Found putting the barrel in difficult and all the screws and juggling it to match up and fit.

I have a question. Can you use face and/or animal recognition of the AI Pro to inform the Unify system that it doesn’t need to send notifications in the app? For example, when I’m working in my garden, it could recognize that it’s me and not send a gazillion messages every time I move, like my G4 Pro does. The same goes for our dogs/ chickens in the garden.

Great overview!! I just ordered one :D Any idea what the antenna beam form is on these or from experience how they do if mounted higher? If I mounted one at chest height would it give me any issues with coverage for things on a desk etc? Trying to get above some furniture in a home and I have wall access but not ceiling access. I'm pretty experienced with Unifi stuff just haven't used one of these.

How does management of the AMP work after initial install? Can I control what users have access to it? What if someone steps onto the network with the app, can they hijack the amp or is it locked to authorized users after install?
