    I noticed that the concept of these designs are quite innovative. The existence of this small sculptures created a big transformation and it offers happiness to every viewer's eye. I truly appreciate the simplicity of this scenario. Nice video!

    Thank you for the video. Just starting my Japanese Maple garden on my hillside home in Southern California. Hope it turns out well do to the hot weather in the summer. Your landscape is fantastic with so little cluttered and its well groomed and organize appearance. You have some great plants for covering the grown without using grown cover like grass or things the spread for a filler and the bark gives it the natural earth tone including stones.

It would have been nice though if you could have talked and explained what each plant was as I know many here but some I do not and some I have not seen before so would have liked to know what types of evergreens and bonsai's those were. Overall though, I absolutely Love what you've done.

    Scrap the rock edging. It’s too much and it takes away from your amazing work you have done. Also do a flagstone path to the door instead of pavers. It’s a contradiction to the feel of the yard.

    • @bdeneris
      @bdeneris 3 года назад

      I agree on both counts 100%. I also feel that a Japanese garden should be calming and is too busy with too many focal points. It would be even more stunning if there were some space between plants without plants and maybe only some stones so your eyes can “rest”. However, kudos to the designer for an overall stunning effect enabled by a fabulous selection of dwarf Japanese maples and conifers that are highlighted by stunning contrasts in color, texture, and size that allows a very small front yard to be extremely appealing despite a huge amount of plant material.

      Leuty's Nursery Address: 15655 Chillicothe Rd, Novelty, OH 44072
      Phone: (440) 338-8020. Most of their Japanese maples are in the back, ask for help if you can't find what you are looking for as they have 100's of different varieties of Japanese maples and conifers.

    Look great but what if the trees grow big? Then won't look great anymore unless you maybe them in the pot underground to control them from growing to large.

    Absolutely beautiful arrangement of plant material. Stunning to look at overall. The only thing that does not set well 'to my eye' are the trail of round stones. Although it may have some kind of Oriental purpose or reasoning I suppose, it does not look natural? Trees never line up in a perfect path, in my opinion - nor should rocks. Remove them all and notice how much nicer this entire planting would appear.

    How do these Japanese Maples stay so beautiful in what looks like a full sun planting? My Japanese Maple burned in the sun and ultimately died and it only received partial sun, less than half day.

    • @Japanesemaplegarden
      @Japanesemaplegarden  10 лет назад +5

      Climate, soil, and water play a big role in standing up to full sun. But most importantly the variety of Japanese maple can make a world of difference. Everything in the front yard needs to stand up to full sun and harsh winter winds. The varieties in our front yard that handle full sun in our area (zone 6) are Acer palmatum Tamukeyama, Garnet, Trompenburg, Atrolineare, Pendula Julian, and Viridis.
