  • I love dragonflies! And I hope that you enjoy creating this very abstract wire and beaded version! It can be made into a necklace, brooch, key ring, or just as a pretty decoration.

Hello, thank you for your tutorial ❤ Can I use 22 gauge wire?

Of course. Any wire can be used depending on the scale of your piece. 👍🥰

@@LindaJonesWireJewellery Hello, I tried to make a dragonfly with 22 gauge wire and it didn't work because I used 8mm round Swarovskis for the body and it was not too sturdy. It broke so I went for the 20 gauge. I used 4mm round Swarovskis to decorate the wings and it turned out gorgeous. I can wear it as a pendant or use it as a Christmas tree ornament or a sun catcher. I think 22 gauge is for a small piece with 4mm crystals for the body. I found your book on Amazon and I've ordered it 🙂 Thank you again 💐🙏

@@thebelissima64 I am happy to hear that in the end, you created something that you like! As you found out (the hard way) if you use thinner gauges of wire, you have to scale your pieces to be smaller, with smaller beads, as the wire won't take the weight. All this 'playing' and practice will give you the experience to improve. So, congratulations! Keep going 😍👍
