Girl that foundation looks GREAT on your skin!!! I'm always more happy to get a shade that's too dark rather than too white....I find that the super pale ones make my skin look worse
I was just about to ask/look this up before buying. People with darker skin tones should not have to pay extra for higher-end products because the drugstore brands couldn't bother to formulate more shades.
Mikayla swatched the 3 lightest shades and there was literally no difference in color, same with the concealers. I doubt most people will even be able to find their shade no matter how light or deep their complexion is
Heey girls, you can choose between white, grey, peach and yellow! What do you want more? 😂 I think the "pretty natural" foundation from essence has a decent shade range, but this one... I love essence with my whole heart but their foundation and concealer shades are often pretty off, that's right.
@@Iamyl4 it’s easier to adjust a light shade to suit your tone using white adjuster. However, you can’t deepen foundation especially for very dark skin tones.
NYX has all kinds of color correctors and color mediums that you can add to Foundation, concealer, Contour, anything cream that you need to modify the tone or color and it doesn't change the formula!

It’s literally not hard at all to make deep shades money is not the issue they simply DONT want to and that’s the problem.. it’s problematic to purposefully exclude an entire shade range of people (specifically black people/dark deep skin tones) for literally no reason..
I have difficulty with most foundations matching my olive undertone. I mix green primer into my foundations and skin tints. This one is quite yellow, I would have to mix blue to make it work.
I have been using essence foundations for yearsss now, but unfortunately essence products are no longer available in my country 😭😭 I'm so freaking sad about this, it's been a year and I'm still not over it 😭😭
I love Essence- their collagen lip plump is everything. I always manage to grab the last one. 3 tubes I have been through. Closest dupe for my Model $40 plump that’s basically only on Amazon. Need to try this foundation my Charlotte is breaking me out. And Catkin looked waaay better for half the price and twice the product.

Wore off my nose. Sank in to pores. It’s a hot mess. You know when you put a foundation on and you feel like you should wash it off??? Yea. That was me today, but I didn’t, I wore it and regretted it! Go buy the pretty natural. Edit..I have oily t-zone skin.
Essense is not a bad brand it's just some items they don't make very well coz they think it's a cheap brand why bother,Wrong some if us don't mind the cheapest sometimes 😉 😜

I saw a two day wear test from someone and it’s not good …..💔and the concealers even worse - compared to your skin too hers was about the same - oh well whatcha expect for 6 bucks

Lol I'm sure it'll look nice on someone, but I love when companies have a product that can look good on EVERYONE. Especially a cosmetics company. Skin is definitely not one size fits all.
They cater to a European customer. As someone who's European I have to say it's always matched me perfectly. We are light to medium skin tones with yellow and neutral undertones. When I moved to England for a while, all they had was a fair to light skin tone with pink undertones and nothing matched me
Great formula, trash shade range. They have 3 different shades of light that all look the same when dispensed and used on the skin. All very yellow undertones.

As a brown girl this is gonna be a HARD pass
