I really like a lot of products from Essence BUT my problem with the brand is their colour range or should I say lack of. It amazes me that in 2023 they still haven’t improved after so much complaint from their customers. Another problem I have, and this is not the brand’s fault, is that here in Sweden we can’t buy the whole range. So if there’s a product that comes in a shade/colour that shows up on me, it’s not available here. All and all I really like the brand, and I’m definitely going to buy the two primers you recommended. Thanks for a great video! 💕
Yes I definitely agree! I saw some responses from the brand that they promised to do better after their most recent foundation/concealer launch. We’ll see if that’s the case but I was surprised to see a lack of range since their Pretty Natural foundation had a significantly better range than previous launches.
What I find annoying is that they only sell the other foundation shades and other products online. Some of them aren't even available anymore. Those six pan eyeshadow palettes are not available in Austria and Germany anymore, and I don't get it. 🤦♀️
I don't think they stock their full collection anywhere, it's a strategy to limit the space they need to take up (and thus pay for) in stores. But I agree, it's really annoying having to guess your shade online!

I tested your under eye brightener next to the Becca/Smashbox under eye brightener and I liked the Catrice one much better because it lasted longer, never settled into line and wrinkles at a fraction of the cost. Your foundations are beautiful! Your powder blushes are amazing. They blend out beautifully by themselves or over cream/liquid blushes. You can layer them where they go from a pretty flush of color to a vibrant hue. The only thing I wasn’t excited for were the mascaras. But I haven’t tried them in years, almost 10, when I purchased them in Rite Aid. Thank you for letting me share my memories of happier times. I have Extreme Shine lipgloss for one year now and THERE IS STILL MORE! Other than it has a lot of product, it gives pretty good plump and shine and juicy effect to ur lips but it also lasts long! Amazing video and i apsolutly love it❤
There are quite a few essence products that we don't get in the uk. We don't have the powder foundation or the baked blushes and we've never had the pure nude highlighter. I would love to try them.
I need that pure nude highlighter! So bummed we can't get that here in Europe I keep trying to find a natural looking highlighter like that one but they are all glittery :/

In the current economy any additional drugstore brands would be appreciated. I've also liked quite a few of the Believe Beauty brands products at Dollar General. Not that you asked for other ideas, but :) now that we're in July could you suggest some humidity proof make-up? I'm in Florida and there is no escaping it. Finally, again, I'm old, you've mentioned your family and friends you gift makeup to, any chance we could get some recommendations for mature skin? And a guest mature make-up session would be awesome. Thank you again, you have really provided me some wonderful entertainment and relief over the past several months. My favorite essence products are the lash princess(mint green) , hello good stuff watermelon primer(I like it better then glow recipe), & baked blushes. Essence eyeshadows are a hit or miss. I’ve tried some palettes that were so amazing while others were so awful.
GREAT VIDEO! I'm so glad you did this video on Essence. I have a couple of items from Essence but I was curious about their other products. I just bought the new blush, but I haven't tried it yet. The one item I can't get enough of is The Blush "Bespoke". I've never really gotten into bronzers. When I started using this blush, I realized that it was the perfect color to go up higher to my temples. It's kind of like a blush/bronzer. It does last a decent amount of time but I've tried to find this color and finish in a longer wearing product and I can't find it. This is my most favorite blush I've ever worn. I probably discovered it from your channel. Thank you so much for mentioning scents and taste. It matters so much to me. Cosmetic fragrances cause me to have horrible headaches. Thank you again. Yes they still make the Pretty Natural liquid foundation, and it is still $7. It has been my foundation for 5 yrs now. I feel like everyone looks for certain things in their foundation, and we're not all the same. Something this foundation gives me that is hard to find is that it doesn't oxidize (or very little). Also it has great staying power- even w/o a primer.
My gems🎉 from essence are the blushes from Lion King collection, the best blushes essence has ever done! They do make very nice limited collections, quality smtimes much better then permanent ones. Oh, and also Choose your Glow highlighters palette is AMAZING❤

This was so helpful! The only mascara I have tried was the original Lash Princess which looked really good but smudged horribly on me! I used it a few times as a primer for other mascaras but in the end just gave up on it. Interested in trying their Lash Primer when I finish with my Lancome one, if I don’t have to spend $30 on a primer I am all for it! (Although I only buy on sale it is still pricey)
I am patiently waiting for a local store to stock the water stains and restock the little green eyeshadow palettes, but i may have to order them. Our town had a mega boom and you can tell that beauty purchases here arent matching up with our new demographics (they forgot that we have a rural vibe, every demo buys way less makeup here). so most stores are being very cautious about restocks, essence doesnt refill the display til over 75% is sold. And I miss their chrome liquid eyeliner so much!! All of those formulas, regardless of brand, have a short shelf life, but I got the absolute most out of that product. Sadly, I seem to have bought the last one in town and never could track it down - even online - again.
I love the pretty natural foundation but I am reaching more for powder foundation at moment. I love the elf camo so need to give this essence powder foundation a go.

We only have limited essence products here in the Philippines and they're sold here at a more expensive price. More expensive than our local drugstore makeup brands.

i never remember about essance as it's only aold in one store which sells home furnishings various electrical items if i need smething from there i get loads of but if i don't need things from that store it goes out of my head it's on my to do list now as i really like the things you always talk about i really love these video's i re watch before i'm going to by drugstore makeup and still forget essance i've asked in the two main store why they don't sell it they told me we don't get a call for it which i don't get the uk is wierd well wales is xx

I returned the Kissed by the Light cheeks. They felt very thick and chalky. I love the powder blushes (btw only 1/4 is shimmery) and waiting for my baked blush to arrive!

Have you tried the catrice powder foundation? I've tried that one, but not the essence as its not available in the UK.
Sometimes they have similar formulas being sister brands, other times not so much

If you have oily lids, the Prime Like A Boss eyeshadow primer may not work. I’ve tried it and it creased like crazy, because of my oily lids.
I just got the welcome to Marrakesh eyeshadow pallete and it is SO GOOD.
I returned the Kissed by the Light cheeks. They felt very thick and chalky. I love the powder blushes (btw only 1/4 is shimmery) and waiting for my baked blush to arrive!
