DCT has heating issues in our traffic conditions. We have to follow some rules while in traffic and this hampers the comfort of automatic's ability.

Video might take time so, in the IVT hill assist is useful. even in very stiff in climb once you release the break car will hold the position and wont go forward or backward until you accelerate. I'll explain with example in the video ✌

Excellent. Very technical. You know your stuff. Explanation of rubber band effect was superb. Of course with newer CVT technologies coming on, the rubber band lag has been drastically reduced.

Just have one question: does Creta IVT petrol engine come without the sunroof? Actually I am not a big fan of it due to few reasons e.g. extra heat in sunny days even with blinds on, overall weight increase (less mileage), possible wear & tear of roof motor, leakage in rubber, maintenance/cleaning etc. Thanks in advance!

How is the diesel AT in comparison to the petrol IVT ? Noise, driving comfort wise .. if my budget is 16 , should I go for petrol ivt sx (o) or AT diesel.. drive around 1000-1200 kms a month
AT is more reliable means 1L kms no issues....if buying diesel...look after dpf carefully....IVT increases mileage than AT.
Good review .. i want to know how is performance of ivt on hill road area , is ivt perform good & give powerful performance ..
Because of the lockdown I could not manage to go to any hilly roads. But looking at the performance on the highway and last year's 1.6L P record, I don't think there will be any issue. ✌✌

I see people take alto also to ladakh 🤣🤣. Ground clearance and power wise there should not be any issue for leh ladakh trip.
Because of the current lockdown, didn't manage to drive in any hilly areas. Last years 1.6L had no issues in hills and this will also be the same.

Hi rajesh! Very nice video and great piece of information. I am planning to buy Sx(o) IVT. Just wanted to know the smoothness of ivt gearbox. If gearshifts are jerky and whether we feel the gearshifts. Thanks
mechanically IVT is a CVT which doesn't have actual gears. It works on a different belt based cylinders. To give us the feel of gear change ivt has steps which we can change as gears using paddle shifters. So in auto mode there is no jerkiness ✌✌

While overtaking I used the paddle shifters and rpm reached 6.5k. That's why the sound. This is normal and fun 😜😜

I like to know how 1.5l petrol engine performs in city conditions in a hot day, with 4 or 5 passengers.
Bangalore temperature goes max 35 now a days. So can't say will there be any issue in very hot day.
For 4 5 passenger there is no issue

the sunroof glass is highly tinted so very less sunlight gets through, on top of that the ac in creta is powerful, I mostly keep the ac at 23'C which I feel is ok for me. I didn't fell it'll be an issue 👍👍

Is 1.5P IVT under powered - no,
How easy to overtake - 30kmph or 90kmph you'll have no issues overtaking.
Drive modes - comfort mode for city drive, echo mode for highway, sport mode whenever in rush or in hills,
Overall experience - awesome, very refine and comfortable ride.
Millage - I'm getting around 11 to 13 in Bangalore city traffic with ac, without ac around 14, highway in 90kmps around 19+kmpl and 120+kmph around 17+kmpl.
Conclusion - its a nice mix of power and millage. ✌✌

Depends on what you like.
Both has the same eng and cvt box.
Seltos has a firm suspension which is good for sporty drive but not comfortable in bad roads. Seat comfort and suspension comfort is good in creta than seltos.
I see many complains for kia after sales service but few for hyundai,

Very nice review..could you say something about the body roll issue? Highway driving at around 120 kmph solo,how bad would be the body roll?
I did few highway drive, not much yet. Mostly city drive. for corner for this size of the car you'll feel very less body roll and high speed (120, 130 kmph) stability is also improved.

Inbuilt navigation is good as long as you can find the destination. For everything else you need to use either android auto/apple car play or phone directly

for me I mostly drive in city traffic where having an automatic is a comfort. In high way I don't felt much difference as I would be on higher gear for most time on highway.

More the components in car more the options of expansion.
Sunroof glass is strong, won't break that easily. even if it happens for some unfortunate situation it will be covered in comprehensive insurance.
After using panoramic sunroof model for more then a year, for my next car I would prefer models with panoramic sunroom for sure

I have booked Creta 1.5L manual now, Should I try to upgrade to Automatic in Creta, Will I miss the driving pleasure and reduced mileage in Automatic. Have not driven automatic ever, please guide.
Automatic will never be like manually releasing the clutch in high RPM, but has its own advantage.
for 1.5 Petrol Manual and automatic will have same millage or automatic might give bit more as its cvt. Diesel auto will have less millage than manual by few kmpl.
If you need fun in automatic you can get the DCT but you won't get much millage,
if you mostly drive in city I automatic has its own advantages ✌✌
IVT isn’t available for test drive here in Mumbai, going to book it basis this. However, I drove the diesel and Turbo to get an idea of the car.

Came back from a 600km chikmagalur trip couple of weeks back. Performance wise didn't had any issue.

Bhai Petrol Manual ki power ke bare mein kya suggestion hai,, is it underpowered ? As in mid variant it has no drive modes.
Its the same eng and because of manual you'll have more control. In Manual you don't need drive mode as you can control your acceleration ✌✌✌

One is MID millage and one is actual millage.
Actual millage I check tank to tank method and the same I shared in the video. Millage dose depend on multiple factor you also might know.
Few point which I noticed when millage is very low like 7-8
- when my driving is less like 3-4km only in one start, MID shows 7-8 that case and actual millage also gets a hit
- Driving very hard like always RMP 3.5K +
Otherwise I get mostly 11+ in Bangalore city. Because of current situation the traffic is low-moderate. With old type of traffic it'll go down for sure but how much yet to check
