Never never work as a frontend developer! I have been working as a frontend mobile/web developer for over 9 years and have been always looked down by backend developers, they treat us frontend developers as idiots and think our tasks have less technical value and easy. I taught myself backend and become a full stack/backend developer now!

After watching this video I feel like I have a keen interest on both sides. But which side I should start first, one where I'm already aware with the languages or the one where I have interest more but less knowledge about that.
I would suggest you start with front-end. There you can see results immediately unlike backend.
