It seems to indicate that she was one of Sothis' actual children while other Nabateans were created through different means (Rhea managed to create new life so I doubt Sothis couldn't). Also Seteth said that he and Flayn are children of the goddess so I don't think that the whole "children" part is meant to be taken literally. Honestly, the whole thing is really vague so a lot is left up to interpretation. Also the ending makes no sense, Nemesis just revives out of nowhere. Rhea going crazy is more believable and fits better for the church. Claude's route would have been way better if we focused on helping Almayra or Brigid directly to end racism instead of doing the exact same as the church but with him as an extra. @@Leo-fz6ck You also kinda overcomplicated it. Rhea didn't "birth" Sitri (an in actually being pregnant with her), she created her with unknown means. Sitri is basically an artificial lifeform, not an actual human one (and unlike what some people would likely tell you, no, she didn't actually use her blood for that, there's evidence pointing to it).
Jeralt received Rhea's blood because he was on the verge of dying and that was the only way she could save him. It was basically a blood transfusion that had some side effects because it was magic blood. Blood transfusions don't make anyone related to each other (otherwise, Byleth would've naturally inhereted these traits themselves. However, they don't have the Crest of Seiros (not even a minor one) and they also don't have a long lifespan like Jeralt since they were growing up at a normal human rate).
And Sothis "fusing" with Byleth wasn't actually them becoming Sothis, it was simply Sothis giving them her power. Byleth's still pretty much their own person (albeit one powered up by a Goddess).

@@skyscavenger7732 The phrases 'blood relative', 'related by blood' and 'blood is thicker than water' should tell you that yes, having the same blood as someone means that you're in someway related to them.
Sitri was assumed to have been made the same way that Sothis made her children, which is asexually, and Rhea refers to herself as 'the last child of the progenitor god' on more than one occasion, meaning that yes, even though she was asexually created she is still Sothis' daughter. Same goes for Sitri here, it doesn't matter how she was created, she was still Rhea's daughter.
Also on that last point, myself and a large amount of people would disagree. Byleth becomes Sothis and inherits her connections to everyone with whom she is linked.

My theory is that the reason Rhea went insane in this route and not in VW (despite the events leading to this situation being almost identical) is because, in confessing the truth of Byleth's existence, she realized that not only did Sothis actively refuse to reincarnate, but that she would be horrified at what Rhea has done in the name of resurrecting her. That realization likely caused Rhea to become distraught and her powers took over, probably as a defense mechanism. To be real this is probably some Zanado PTSD as well.
You aren't fighting a goddess dragon capable of annihilating the planet. You are fighting a broken woman, who just got smacked in the face with the reality that she will never get back what she lost. That it's all gone, it's all slipped away, and all the centuries of agony and pain she endured hoping to see her mother again were for nothing. I think any of us would be emotional over that. It's easy to understand Rhea's pain.

Uh, my first lets play I was able to do this without casualties. Naturally, I used Divine Pulse, but the trick is to have an archer and mage use the devices to the sides of The Immaculate One. Then, have Byleth or any other heavy hitting unit damage where her armor is broken, and have healers near the devices too. Also, for good measure, get other units to her side and use gambit.

In Silver Snow Rhea only went berserk because after 5 years of being held prisoner in the Empire and used as insurance against TWSITD. Rhea got too weak to contain her Immaculate One form and it started to take over her body. So basically her power became too much for her contain and she lost it to the point where the resistance army had to be forced to kill her

    • @62swordsmen
      @62swordsmen 4 года назад +11

      @@colorbenja6163
Short Answer: Because the Devs were possibly rushed with AM and the story ended before it got to that point and VW had Claude, the Alliance, and the Almyran's instead of a half-assed army like the Resistance
Long Answer with explanation (so if you don't want to read an essay you can stop here):
in Azure Moon's case the story ended immediately when they saved Rhea, They never invaded TWSITD nor do they even know of TWSITD's involvement, because they are dealt with after Fodlan is unified. Rhea transformed after Fodlan's unification. So if AM had a few more chapters they would likely have to deal with Rhea after saving her and she would've been their final boss instead of Hegemon Edelgard. (Plus there is data and rumors saying there was a lot of cut content in Blue Lions, like Felix and Annette betraying the Blue Lions in favor of the Empire for example. I think there was supposed to be a few more chapters too, though that however is yet to be confirmed by the Devs themselves)
In Verdant Winds case, my guess is that Rhea wasn't as active in VW as she was in SS. In VW they had Claude and the Golden Deers. More people to look out for her and keep her from overexerting herself, and possibly more treatment and more time for her to rest. The Resistance army in SS however, were very limited as they were an army made purely from scratch and an army made within 2-3 months while the Empire, Kingdom, and the Alliance are more established and been around for hundreds of years. The Alliance also had the support of Almyra VS in SS not even the Black Eagles had support from their own families, the moment they turned on Edelgard all the support coming from the Empire flew out the window. Hell when they reunited, they basically came in with pocket change (even Linhardt basically stated that). while the Golden Deers had more support, Claude is the Duke of House Riegen which is the ruling house, Lorenz and Hilda getting almost full support for their house, Judith supporting them, and Leonie's support from her village, is far more support than what the Black Eagles had combined, (since the Black Eagles didn't have Edelgard and Hubert they were already at a massive disadvantage), House Gonreil alone is three times of what the Black Eagles had. With support from the Alliance and Almyra, Rhea likely had better treatment, more rest and possibly even less things for her to be concerned about, she could likely still be able to contain her Immaculate One form longer until the Golden Deers deal with Nemesis. (though I think it is still implied that the Golden Deers still dealt with Rhea after the fact, but I believe they were a lot more prepared that time, unsure on that detail though. That is just an assumption from what details I got from VW's and SS's ending)

My theory is that revealing the reality of Byleth's creation had a side effect of her realizing that Sothis was never going to return, and that all the centuries of time she took trying to resurrect her were (for the efforts of reviving Sothis, specifically) for nothing.
Think about it this way. You lose the person you love to a genocidal monster. That genocidal monster is killed but you have to lie about them and say they're a hero to prevent a war and to protect your surviving family. You have a ghost of a shot to revive the person you love most, and after centuries of failing to revive them, you finally have *a* chance to get them back.
But then when you are revealing this truth, the reality of "this person I love is gone. Forever" hits you in the face and you become overwhelmed with emotion.
Now imagine that: but with the ability to become a dragon at times of great emotion.
