The exact nature of Crest Stones is... left a bit ambiguous. It seems that some of them are the hearts of the Nabateans, while some are stones tied to the crest. As in, a reverse Dragonstone, in a way, in that instead of containing draconic power, they allow others to access it.
The raw emotion in this chapter... While the emotion in Crimson Flower's finale IS there, it is COMPLETELY possible to suck MOST of it away since you can just recruit Annette and Ashe, and also just not deploy the characters that have dialogue. Here, though? Dialogue's virtually impossible to avoid. You have all these people who know Rhea for who she is- A well meaning person, even if her methods were questionable. And you're than likely using the Black Eagle students since even in New Game Plus, your base roster tends to become your main army. The agony of the students having to slay Fodlan's guiding beacon of hope is apparent even with Linhardt... Even if he states it's only because of research (I don't honestly entirely buy that. I know he states he can't grieve during the game. But I think that it's either a facade or he just hasn't found the right grievance yet (aka losing Caspar.))
Seteth: Rhea! Please! Catherine: Lady Rhea! Flayn: Lady Rhea, no! Come back! Cyril: Lady Rhea! Professor, go after her! Byleth: *Nods and pursues Rhea*
I remember I had to start a whole new game because I thought I was to weak to do more damage than she could regenerate but it turns out all my dumbass had to do was read her God damn abilities and I could have won😂😭
@@jessegordon4775, now I get it. But what did Seteth mean by “inherit the PRIDE of Nabatea?” Is Seteth going to be the new leader of who ever is left of that race, or did he mean something else?
@@legomaster2538 He might have meant that it will be up to him to bear the history of their race and face their new future since he and Flayn are really the only known survivors left after Rhea dies
I never really liked the concept of this final battle, it felt like the developer knew that the Church's route was nearly identical to Claude route, so they decided to ignore Nemesis in favour of having Rhea lose control of the Immaculate One. It's a tragic end, but it felt so forced.
I mean with how marketed the Black Eagles was, I'm pretty sure this route was developed first; so alot of people treat Verdant Wind as a special snowflake. Don't get me wrong, I also felt like that you should had fought Nemesis in Silver Snow. Preferably, I would had wanted Edelgard and Rhea to set aside their differences and realize they both been fucked over by those who slither in the DMs and team up.
I think you've got it backwards: Claude offers very little to the story and his route feels like the copy pasted route instead. There are scenes that feel like they were developed for silver snow first (like the Edelgard Enbarr cutscene). There's also no serious explanation for why Nemesis returns on verdant wind when the conditions were near equal and he doesn't return on silver snow. If anything, Nemesis makes no sense for Claude, the outsider, but has major significance to the church.
I wish Silver Snow was more oriented towards Those Who Slither In The Dark. Imagine defeating Edelgard at chapter 16-17, a cutscene where she personally gives you a letter/book with informations about TWSITD, tells you that Rhea is held by Cornelia in Arianhrod and then dies. You go to Arianhrod, you face Cornelia in her Agarthan form and then proceed to Shambala. It would be much better and different than Verdant Wind.
I think the opposite. Rhea should have been the final boss in Verdant Wind and Nemesis in Silver Snow. It will make more sense as Rhea seems to have more weigh on her shoulders with Claude pressuring her to tell the truth.
Originally? I wasn't going to use Cyril on this map. I had Seteth and Hilda as wyvern lords. Cyril turned out nice alright... ...until I noticed who the final boss was. Sorry Cyril, you gotta be deployed. CYRIL. KILL!
Everyone: Why must we kill Lady Rhea?
Linhardt: rEsEaRcH
Also Linhardt: sleep
Yeah all he says about Rhea is "A sHaMe We MuSt KiLl HeR"
Catherine: Lady Rhea... I will put an end to your suffering...
Also Catherine: Lmao you missed! Is that all?
Everyone (but Linhardt): Dammit why do we have to do this
Petra: lmao whut
This could've been the one instance that Byleth spoke at least one full sentence in battle.
Petra is such a mood in this
same with bernie
Petra: “Ayo, is this normal for you guys?”
Dorothea: This is it.. the final battle...
Rhea: *S C R E M*
Petra: what is happening?!?
I think the most terrifying part is this implies Rhea has people rip her open and cut out pieces of her heart to put inside them.
Terrifying as that is maybe it could be how she saved Jeralt by transforming blood not picking at her crest.

I don't think that is how it works....It must be probably someone else's crestone and Rhea's blood
iirc she shattered her stone with seteth so they’re just taking a tiny fragment and some blood
@@menph1096 Crest Stones are also their hearts where their souls reside soo......
3:59 irks mercedes receiving S+ in reason right after the chapter end so no time to make use of it lol

Adam Rhodes ....your underestimating Lindhart my dude. Guy is willing to transform into a beast to continue his research (Catherine support)

I would like to add blue lions and golden deer students unique dialogue.

I wish Annette had unique dialogue during the final battle of Azure Moon, and Leonie had unique dialogue during the final battle of Verdant Wind.
It took me 70 turns to beat this level. It wasn’t easy.
3:19 What exactly does Seteth mean by “inherit the pride of Nabatea?”
The Nabateans were the race Rhea and Seteth came from. They were wiped out millennia before the events of the game.

Think you can do the battle at gronder next along with all monastery dialogue of Felix talking about the boar
Damn it rhea can’t please not be the only blood donation in this church.
we need something thats effective against dragons like the falchion?
Looked this up bc all almost all of my units died in this fight in hard mode. I was only left with petra, caspar, lin and Byleth by the end
In my story, I had Shamir instead of Alois.

WHERE WERE THESE GUYS IN CRIMSON FLOWER? God I swear Crimson Flower is so badly written.

i hate silver snow so thanks for uploading this

Ah yes
The best final map of this game
Right ?
Oh wait never mind it's not
I’d say 2nd best. Better than CF and BL in my opinion but nowhere near as godlike as GD’s final map
