This was them in their prime. No shitty amp modelling, just the real deal. Ron Welty, Greg K and Higgins, Ibanez RG, no auto tune chorus, loose fitting skate clothes and no belly fat. Those were the golden years of The Offspring.
"Fragile lives shattered dreams". That's so damned rght! I'm not a kid any more. I'm 67 years old. But when I was young the future seemed so bright. But after a life of hard work, 8 years in the military, , 4 years as a restaurant owner, then 3 years as a security guard and then 33 years after a road accident which left me paralysed and in a wheelchair what have I got?
You've got reason guys, the best performance live ever. Their songs are difficult to sing half tune down too...dexter will be always a great frontman and singer in my opinion.
I seen the top of the pops logo in the background, expecting it to be mimed, cos thats what all bands did (except a few like nirvana) but this proper blew me away, great performance
His voice sounds extremely hella good here, probably the best I've heard in a video like that yet, but I think he still sounds good live today. I never miss a show if they play in orange county or l.a.
Chris "X-13" Higgins era colaborador de THE OFFSPRING hasta el album SPLINTER, Aparecia en el video Why Don't You Get a Job?, nunca fue miembro oficial
+zⒶnder maru What is this hate against LP here? They don't suck at all and actually sound live like on their records. You can say you don't like their music but saying LP sucks just tells me you either know nothing about them or nothing about music.
+Matt Lodder wow are you serious? you are lucky life with a cool band in 90s, i hope the band is back i borred with bieber dj and fuckin many more , bring machine time please lol , sorry for my english
I absolutely love The Offspring albums but I got to be honest, I think Dexter is simply singing these songs at an unsustainable range for a live show. He sounds incredible on the album. But live, he's extremely pitchy. Not saying he can't sing. I recognize these are very difficult songs to sing and as a singer myself, I know I couldn't sustain this range for a single song much less a concert. The drums are simply so loud that the crucial lead part is completely covered up. Again I love The Offspring, but if we're honest, they were a much better studio band. Chester Pennington had a similar issue. He would sing notes that were beyond a sustainable range for a concert. Because of this he was never really able to ad that crucial grunge sound. None of Linkin Parks live versions of Crawling come close to that powerful sound we hear in the studio.
Dexter is such a better singer nowadays, it's just a shame he's damaged his vocal cords from screaming for years. His voice live in the self-titled era is so fucking good.
CountRavenbeak Cool to see Chris in these vids. We played together 85 to 90 in his early days. I got out of music.,, and he carried on. props to Christopherrrrrrr ( roll the R's )
This was them in their prime. No shitty amp modelling, just the real deal. Ron Welty, Greg K and Higgins, Ibanez RG, no auto tune chorus, loose fitting skate clothes and no belly fat. Those were the golden years of The Offspring.
it's ok to get older :P but yeah, that was the prime time
I miss Ron, he brought something to this band that not even the incredible Josh Freese could capture.

Hang in there man. All the best
You've got reason guys, the best performance live ever. Their songs are difficult to sing half tune down too...dexter will be always a great frontman and singer in my opinion.

Dexter's voice is amazing here. Much better than at these days. Sad but true
Yeah but I'll still pay no matter what cost to see them
Mr. Pigpen Just saw them last week. Amazing still. Would see everyday if I could.
Classic G-Body Garage i saw them in Sweden this summer, and they were so good and i was so drunk.
His voice sounds extremely hella good here, probably the best I've heard in a video like that yet, but I think he still sounds good live today. I never miss a show if they play in orange county or l.a.
It's funny because I think he used to be a better live singer than recorded, but nowadays he is a better studio vocalist and not as good live
best song ever!
My favorite song
Yeah Uruguay Offspring power band
best Offspring song!
lovely song.
God damn I miss Top of the Pops
OFFSPRING'S AT THEIR BEST

0:50 looks like chester in the beginning of LPxD
zⒶnder maru fuck LP they suck
zⒶnder maru fuck LP they suck
i agree, but the early LP were great
zⒶnder maru no it was not...Their first 2 albums are pretty much the same song on repeat. Fort Minor was good though.
+zⒶnder maru What is this hate against LP here? They don't suck at all and actually sound live like on their records. You can say you don't like their music but saying LP sucks just tells me you either know nothing about them or nothing about music.

Missed Ron!!
when we were happy and didn't know it
London, England 1998
круто
When audiences used to get into the action, not like these days, where they just sit there.
+✌ (ง'̀-'́)ง ✌ British Audiences are like that mate!
+Landie Man just look the videos of the shows in Chile and Argentina in 2013
+Landie Man This show was in germany
It's a British show, recorded in London. They must have just shown it on German TV...
+Matt Lodder Ohh, i thought it was german
I like this song better in this pitch.

Back when he was more enthusiastic singing his songs.
Dexter is such a better singer nowadays, it's just a shame he's damaged his vocal cords from screaming for years. His voice live in the self-titled era is so fucking good.
Live my arsenal it's totp
its with higgins :) :)

x-13 colaborador desde el 94 hasta 2005
Tuning is lower than in album

Pennywise >>> Bad Religion.
mas bien TSOL, Descendents, Dead Kennedys Social Distortion...
nada a ver ele tocar bateria junto com a guitarra inicial da musics, ficou sem graça o inicio assim
Simplesmente Foda. Mas ele anda desafinado
RTL :D
lol they played like shit at least noodles
The beginning instrumental wasn't the best! The singing was nearly perfect.
I was a baby when the kids aren't alright came out lol 😂
