I really love bangs but whenever I got them at a Hairdresser they would always cut them bluntly, no matter how much I explained I wanted them to be thin. I grew out my bangs, been cutting my hair at home for a long time and now I just swoop my hair back and only take care of the ends, but I might try to do bangs by myself. Great explanation!

Ok but if you're gonna get bangs please don't do them yourself there's a high chance you'll mess it up. Get a professional hair stylist to do them for you. And honestly I really wanted bangs until I got them. Now I think hair looks better without bangs.

I got my Hair cut before the quarantine. Told the hairdresser I didn’t want them too think with too much hair in it because I had that last time and didn’t like it. So naturally he cut a chunk from like over the middle of my head... lol at least no one can see me now while I grow it out 😅

I have a rather strong widow's peak and my bangs always end up looking too thick in the center or the bangs just stick in with my longer hair. Has anyone sorted this out? I know some people shave their widow's peak, but then you still get the funny stubble interfering with your hair style.

Worst of all, I cut a piece of hair at the top of the triangle. Which I forgot was gonna grow back... so now I have small pieces in the back of my bangs sticking up. I hate it, and there’s no way to fix it🙁

I've had pretty thick blunt bangs for around 5 years now and I'm considering doing this. I've been growing my hair out longer and want to add more shaggy layers to it to give it more volume and I just feel like a bit thinner bangs would look better with that style. I have thick bangs and glasses, and I've felt for so long that my face is covered up. I want to make them just lay down on my forehead and look like straight across bang, instead of puff out weirdly at the side and are far too thick. My mom cut them and somehow she still can't figure out how to trim them, she cuts off a bunch and I look ridiculous for the next week or so. I'm gonna have to ask her to try this, since we can't afford going to a salon, and she insists that she's able to do it. Wish me luck, hopefully I won't regret this.

I did this method in 2004/2005 when I couldn't stand losing all of my bangs by growing them all out. Good tutorial ❤️🙂 I eventually did grow them all out though. It was awful! 😆They are now to ankles lol.

My hairdresser does this thing where to picks up my bangs and makes small cuts into it (little snips) all the way up and the bangs sit better. But since lock down here in the U.K. I can’t do it myself.
I usually cut my own bangs and keep things very safe. I went to the hairdresser and they cut my bangs SO THICK. I'm pissed because I'm usually trying to stop that from happening and it's so annoying that the one time you go and pay for it, they fuck you up.

I cut my bangs 6 months ago..and I regret it…so first I cut it too thin and super SHORT…then I cut more secretly- ;-; …now whenever I go out , I have to hide them with clips at back…my mom thinks it’s embarrassing and…no one likes it. I haven't cut layers in years, but my hair is growing back after another bout of hair loss. That makes for a lot of difference in length, but I cut it straight as always :)

Alejandra i don’t know how short you cut them but i would recommend cuttting your bangs even. It can be that your bangs wil be over your eyebrow..

My hairdresser does this thing where to picks up my bangs and makes small cuts into it (little snips) all the way up and the bangs sit better. But since lock down here in the U.K. I can’t do it myself.

I usually cut my own bangs and keep things very safe. I went to the hairdresser and they cut my bangs SO THICK. I'm pissed because I'm usually trying to stop that from happening and it's so annoying that the one time you go and pay for it, they fuck you up.

ive been cutting my bangs for a year now and i think they look pretty dang good for me not being a professional (ive had bangs most of my life. for some reason they grow Very quickly and i dont have money to go to the salon all the time so i taught myself how to trim them) but i think wispy bangs r really cute so im curious if i can make mine thinner!

I need to do this. But my hair/bangs are curly. Do you think it would still work? The longer pieces wouldn’t just nicely lay flat along the sides. 😆 Also, I’ve always cut them straight...but I like the triangle shape. Wonder if that would also work with my hair.

Very helpful! Thank you so much! At some point (You probably don't want to do this now.) can you do a tutorial about how to trim the rest of your hair? But, specifically into the V shape? If you don't wear your hair like that, I understand if you don't though. It's just so hard to find that on RUclips! It must not be popular. I just think it looks so much more fuller and flattering from the back if it's in a V shape. I usually always trim my own bangs. (Thanks to your original trim bangs video.) But when it comes to the rest of my hair, I still go to a salon because I don't think I understand well enough to trust myself to do it on my own.

I think the 2 lengths of bangs is very flattering on you even though you are trying to grow it out.
I cut my bangs 6 months ago..and I regret it…so first I cut it too thin and super SHORT…then I cut more secretly- ;-; …now whenever I go out , I have to hide them with clips at back…my mom thinks it’s embarrassing and…no one likes it. Even my friends lie to me that I look great in bangs.but one true friend said it looks “ok” but not that great .and it dosent suit me well…rn I do still regret if u style it , it will look better than usual .

Everyone says that bangs look good on people with big forehead and not on small but I feel like they look good on small forehead to as it doesn't make the small forehead part noticable.. I hope u understand what I mean

I haven't cut layers in years, but my hair is growing back after another bout of hair loss. That makes for a lot of difference in length, but I cut it straight as always :)
Does anyone know if a triangle at the top of the had or a half circle looks better? I have a big triangle now but im trying to decide what to do
