Hi Duane and Lori, I planted Jubilee watermelon last year. It went so well, very big and heavy, shared with my friends in Church. I am growing 3 new varieties right now, heirloom and organic. They are doing well, many fruits. And they are 1-Tendersweet Orange Watermelon 2- Orangeglo Watermelon 3- Sweet Siberian Watermelon. I already picked one tendersweet orange Watermelon. It is huge, sweet and well, it is orange! 😊
QUESTION Duane, Where do you fit in downtime between your full-time job and the farm? Also, please remind us of your watering schedule and length of a watering session there in the desert.
That is a great question and we'll add it to our list for next week's live, but here is a quick snapshot from my notes for that in case you can't make it; Stone/Pome/Citrus/figs/Most Berries - 60 gallons 2x/week. Full Size mulberry/pecan 90gal 2x/week. Grapes 12 gal 3x/week. Garden Beds - 20 minutes daily As for finding time, we try to limit taking on anything new that will require a lot of time to manage. Combine that with adding efficiencies wherever we can is the only way to keep it all up and running. Honestly, it would be impossible without Lori being here FT and taking on most of the day to day.

Oh my goodness, these all sound AMAZING! Especially with a little citrus flavor before the citrus season begins!!
We missed the live again - darn it
No worries, we're having them every week for now, so maybe one of these days!

Amond tree and grounnd squirrels. E collar type cone around the trunk larger opening faces down. They cannot climb it.
That's a great suggestion. May need to give that a shot!
Excellent video. you have Shanx Li jujube , where is this one?
Hey Abid! Yes, we do have that variety, but it does not have any ripe fruit on it yet.
Bats eat fruit too. Have you seen them eating your fruit?
Hmm, haven't seen bats eating them, but I suppose it could be happening!
