1965 Chevy II Nova. This Chevy II was professionally built with the highest quality parts on the market and an excellent rust free original west coast car. The car was built in 2009-2010 with currently 1,216 miles on the odometer since the build. The car has never been wet/never washed. It has only been cleaned with Show Spray and microfiber towels. The car has been 100% garage kept… and enclosed trailered to shows. The 1216 miles were all good weather days. The car and the build are spectacular; as good as you will find anywhere. I have a folder of build receipts and information. There are over 125 pictures below including engine interior and underneath. They may take several minutes to download so give it a few minutes to download depending on your computer. Click on the RUclips video link below to hear and see the car running.
The Chevy II was chemically stripped to bare metal on an auto rotisserie, Top & Bottom. The rear wheel wells were extended 3 inches… It was next prepped, primed, and painted with 3-4 coats of Daytona Yellow single stage paint. It was then polished and finished off to show quality. Many hours/days were spent resulting in a laser straight body with super flat panels and one of the smoothest and slick paint jobs that you will see. It has a mirror finish on all original steel body except for the 4” cowl hood. The trunk was professionally mini-tubbed to accept the 60 series tires and it looks like it came from the GM factory that way… a very nice job! The original bumpers were stripped & re-chromed and the front bumper was die-stamped. (just one of the many tasteful custom touches on this Nova). With exception of the front windshield, which is new, all the original glass was retained & reinstalled using new rubber seals. The bright work and trim on the car is all original and polished to a show car finish. The fitment of the doors, trunk, and panel seem perfect. The doors sound just right when you shut them and the windows roll up down with ease. The original gas cap has been replaced with a custom machined polished stainless piece. The rear tail lights and backup lights were replaced with custom order and 1-off LED light panels behind the original GM replacement lens covers. They are nice and bright when braking, backing, and running. This is a very nice custom touch. The wheels have custom machined center caps for a smooth look as well.
The motor is a Burbank Speed Motown block with Brodix high velocity heads and balanced internals. It is 434 cubic inches of small block Chevy power producing 627 horsepower. I have the Dyno sheets and the paperwork on the engine build including cam card and piston specs. It has a Bullet Racing roller cam, Diamond pistons, Total Seal piston rings, Race Rod bearings/main bearings/cam bearings, Eagle forged H-beam connecting rods, Lunatti full roller timing set w/Torrington bearings, Hooker Super Comp ceramic coated headers, Be Cool radiator, polished Serpentine belt system, and 12:1 compression ratio currently running half and half 94 octane and 105. Runs fine on pump gas high octane as well. The transmission is a High Performance built Turbo 350 with a 3800-stall converter from Redneck Performance.
The rear end is a Speedway Engineering Ford 9” with Street Rod axle/bearing package, 28 spline. The gear is Auburn Posi 390. It has a TCI polished 4-link with Shockwave coil-overs and Nova 29” track bar. It has custom polished strap hooks in the rear and the front. The front end is a Heidts rack with tubular upper and lower control arms and slotted and drilled disc brakes. It has stainless steel brake lines from the master cylinder to all 4 wheels. All supporting parts under are black powder coated. The exhaust is 3” black ceramic coated including the Flow Master mufflers.
The interior is all new stock appearing with upgraded Flaming River tilt steering column. It has Dynamat Extreme sound/heat deadener under the carpet and in the doors. The door handles and window cranks have custom machined countersunk Allen head bolts. It has all new wiring and harness from American Autowire. The dash and gauges are polished bezels with new original style gauges including tachometer in bezel. It has Simpson street/strip seat belts and the shifter is Winters Racing with a custom machined bracket.

It probably has a Dart block. To squeeze all of them cubes into a Small Block Chevy requires some very close tolerances for the stroker crankshaft. The block alone costs about 5000 dollars. I think it's called a Tradesman block from Dart
