Awesome Video. I've been looking for a vide just like this before I buy the Hatcher. It's a lot of money to invest in something you can't physically touch or see in person. I'm about to start a business raising quail and have been researching incubators, hatchers, and brooders. This is the only video I have found that specifically covers the GQF 1550 Hatcher. Thank you for this.

Thanks for compliment. Hope it goes well for you. We have the old 1202’s and 1502 as well but the 1500 Professional and seperate Hatcher is really nice. We really like the larger plastic trays as well, gives more head room especially for the geese and ducks. Best of luck to you!

Thanks for the video. Only hatcher video I could find. I have 3 1502 and had 1 1202, need a hatcher to increase hatch efficiency with better temp and humidity control. And way more hatching space. Guineas, ducks and turkeys are good $ makers. Easy to sell compared to thousands of layer chicks. I don't hatch geese tho

Right on. You could Consider selling 1502 and upgrading the 1500 professional eventually for the greater angle it rotates eggs too. Not really that needed tho we have a 1502 and a few old 1202 as well and they all do great.

Put rubber shelving liner in the hatcher racks and then add eggs.I have the hatcher and 1502 GQF incubator.

Then you clean them off after? We like paper towel because it’s cheap and absorbent. Makes clean up quick and easy. They also sell microbial hatching liners.

How long did it take for yours to come in?

Do you think there is an upside to getting a hatcher vs getting an incubator and using as a hatcher. I already have a cabinet incubator and i either want a second or a hatcher. Any thoughts??

Benefit is a clean incubator. Bacteria can kill embryo in incubating egg easily, especially if egg bloom is not fully in tack. Hatch rate will always be higher with dedicated incubator and dedicated Hatcher. There’s a reason GQF calls the combo the “sportsman” and the dedicated incubator “professional”. Also the dedicated 1500 Professional has more room at bottom and turns the eggs at a greater angle. Thus increasing survival of embryo by exercising the embryo better. If you don’t need full size Hatcher I recommend hatching in a couple Hovabators or other tabletop hatchers. But they require more humidity monitoring. Hope this helps you and others.
