PM2 Elmax Exclusive purchased. I already have multiple PM2s and no need for anymore… but this one as more robust, actual “tactical” usage, got that urge. Surely, it will function same as always but different feel in grip & deployment, plus added confidence in toughness!! Thanks Neeves for announcement!! Pls, full review compared to regular PM2, and Elmax knowledge.
Elmax is a great steel. According to Dr Larrin Thomas, is has basically the same edge retention and toughness as S45VN. Slightly less corrosion resistant IIRC, but still very stainless. One of my favorites. Great video btw

I really wish companies would adopt a stainless equivalent to D2 & offer alternatives. I’m sick of having to be cautious with that diva ass steel that ain’t worth it! Btw kizer offers an integral g10 button lock with 154cm steel for $90
The Lionsteel with the wood handle and m390 for $129 is an awesome deal. I might have to get one. I do like the glow in dark one a lot, but it’s not worth $50 more, to me.
How’s the factory edge on your Emerson PM2? I had one from the first drop in S30v and it’s edge came kinda ugly; super uneven and full of belt marks. I couldn’t get it looking right no matter what I tried. I hope this run is better
Man, I just can't get with that frag. Bleh. Ruined that first knife for me personally I like it other than that, I'm sure I would love using it either way but it just looks so darn ugly with that frag pattern. 😅
If i was a youtube reviewer i wouldn't show a vosteed if they paid me! Every Vosteed that comes out that im interested in is NEVER in stock! And when they do 6 months later im not interested due to a million other options now out. Great idea make great knives for affordable prices but only make custom maker quantities... instead of spending time and resources making 4 or 5 different models per qtr why not just make more of the 1 or 2 models that everyone wants. They dont care its all the same money..🤬😆
@LES7131 I don't think they make any 2nd grade stuff . Their quality is pretty much on point. I'm just wondering if they have a softer heat treat for a specific reason. I guess so it'll be tougher!
@@justinbelcher3679 i don't test rockwell so i couldn't tell you. i run both the m4 and m1, (in fact the m1 has been my main carry for the past 6 month along a k390 folder) m1 as my pocket fixie with a fair bit of use and abuse in the veg garden and i just have to strop it back every now and then. i just wondered as european knives get a lot of flak from the die hard "american made" crowd these days have a great day

Black bear customs kydex makes a sheath that turns any pm2 into auto open on deployment but that Emerson is pretty nice

If it's made in Italy, then you know that the M390 is heat treated soft. All of their heat treats for M390 are always soft
