Would you have continued with this program? The best or nothing approach?
...I wouldn't even have started...😅 I don't really understand the "being the best" kind of thing. I'm just a humble observer~
(I'm just too afraid to fail, shh)
I would say its one of the best sports anime but not everyones cup of tea
Don't worry, the next episode will show why they need the one hero who has the highest ego and ability. Ego Jinpachi's theories at the beginning will sound ridiculous for now but the longer the anime goes, the more evidence you will get that will support his theories. Later down the line, Ego will also provide real life ideologies that you can not only apply in soccer but also life.
LET'S FUCKING GO! sound great
Japan’s national team does in fact have pretty good teamplay, midfielders and defenders. And it is also true that Japan’s team sports culture is very focused on their teamwork. However it’s a bit ironic that in the Ro16 loss in the 2018 World Cup to Belgium (depicted at the beginning of the episode), Japan was actually up 2-0 and ended up losing 3-2 in extra time. So in reality Japan needs better players in those other positions too (but let’s be honest, winning the World Cup is hard as hell in the first place). But Blue Lock does provide interesting commentary on team sports culture in Japan, and even the general culture of Japan. Ego is the perfect character to challenge the existing beliefs with his radical ideologies. IMO he’s correct in a lot of cases if you want to develop into becoming the best, and you could argue that Japan is lacking that mentality. But at the end of the day, football is still a team sport - whoever comes out of Blue Lock will still need to learn to integrate their skills into a team system. Ofc I understand this is fiction and I am eager to see how it develops, just wanted to provide some context!
Love the reactions! Love the anime! Plz continue ♡♡♡
Loving it!
