always take a old lucas bottle that has the funnel head on it and squirt oil in the oil pressure hole and do it for 4-5 minutes to load the oil galley with oil . this works on other motors also .
Beautiful Engine Empi, Love this, as well as your new "Beam in the Box" . You are offering stuff that nobody else on the market is. One Problem though..... The eye watering price tag on Both... I have been in the VW Hobby for over 25 years, and Empi has always been the affordable alternative for the everyman that can't afford Gene Berg , or the other Pricier options....
thanks for your feedback Chris, with your experience in the air cooled world it sounds like you agree that quality isn't cheap. Rebuilding a front end with junkyard parts is not ideal for safety or performance. Same thing with engines- EMPI wants to help get more classic VWs on the road and our Beam In A Box and Long Blocks are a great solution
I like this, but I have one question. I built an engine and tried to use EMPI rocker arms, and I ended up removing them, because the hex on the adjusting screws were all different sizes. the tolerance on the adjusting screws were awful, making it very difficult to do a valve adjustment. I also ended up having one of the adjusters break, and when I replaced it, the threads on the adjuster screw and the rocker arm were so poorly machined that it was nearly impossible to get the adjusting screw all the way out. So, are the rocker arms, and specifically the adjusting screws made at a better quality level then there were?
Hi Andrig the answer is yes-we are using EMPI rocker assemblies in all our builds including the 2180 in the EMPI Manx. For long blocks Jack is assembling the rocker shafts from EMPI components and he approves of the materials, fit and finish
Hello, I emailed out to you guys but never got a response, but was wondering if I were to put your guy's full flow oil filter on this engine, would it void the warranty, or what are some things that could potentially void any warranty at all.
I bought Empi axle boots for my Porsche. One failed at 2000 miles. Empi wouldn't even warrantee it. I've worked with Chinese manufacturers so I know they paid about $3 for it. I paid $48. So doing the right thing was not worth $3 to Empi. So if they can't even make an axle boot correctly how could the make heads or a whole engine? They should change their name to Empty.
Hi Jeff and thanks for venting-please reach out to robm@empius.com with details like where you purchased and when you installed. Please note Class 11 guys and drag racers beat the snot out of our driveline parts every weekend without troubles
thanks for your feedback Matthew, please let us know where you are benchmarking the price of an all new hand built motor by a racing legend that includes a 12month/12K warranty that is immediately available
Lost me at "Brazil". Awful awful stuff from Brazil. That's why they say it's only for putt putt, not to mention all aluminum case, not magnesium. . And EMPI went China decades ago. Phftttppp. Align bore old German cases.
thanks for your feedback and feel free to join us in 2023 here in Anaheim CA-Builders all over the world are using EMPI parts everyday to build their street cars, drag cars, Class 11's, buggys, kit cars, etc. and run NORRA, Baja, KOH
Love the Jaycee X EMPI collaboration... it’s cool y’all are keeping the smaller companies thriving with business :)
Seriously you provide an amazing service to the Vw community 🙏🤙
thanks Dom! we want to help more classic VWs get back on the road
man, I needed this a year ago....
please consider EMPI for all your engine needs!
I can’t wait for my Empi dealer to get these!
Awesome, God Bless empi
thanks Herby!

@@EMPI_Inc Okay, that sounds like they have made improvements, which is good.
@@andrigtmiller we are constantly improving and appreciate your feedback
@@EMPI_Inc It's good to see. We need high quality parts, that's for sure.
Is the Autolinea case that's used a bubble top case?
yes it is
What about 2165cc in a long block
hi Anthony we will let the EMPI Product Team know of your interest
Show, qual é a taxa de compressão?

I can dig it. Just curious on the price. I’m gonna guess any where from $3-$5k? How close am I EMPI?
Please contact an EMPI Authorized dealer like VeeParts near you for pricing and availability empius.com/dealer-locator/
@@EMPI_Inc ok awesome. Glad Vee Parts is on your radar. They are probably the last VW parts sellers left in San Diego.
Probably way to much. The incredible horsepower you can get for that kind of money with another engine 🤣
@@VicOrlando Hey Vic $=HP these long blocks are intended to get projects back on the road not huge power/huge budgets/long lead times
How much hp would the 1914cc make?

sorry for the delay, if the full flow was sourced from and installed by EMPI authorized distributor warranty would be valid and intact

Your obviously not a true Porsche Guy, they would never run EMPI parts...
@@doginu It's a restomod, no room for stock boot. Only available from Empti. Empti crap failed so I modified Posche parts to work.
why wouldn't this be good in a class 11? Bet it works good for a 250 mile sprint.
the Long Blocks aren't designed for racing
I would be afraid someone would steal it out my car.
empius.com/products/?_sf_s=deck+lid+lock
Why are these so expensive they are priced as if they are a mild race motor. Over 5000 for a stock 1600 is out of control.

I doubt jack will build every single one.
Yes he is and have you ordered yours yet?
Brazil.... when I think of Brazil, I think China

The auto Linea stuff is pretty good
@@smokepeddler thanks Ryan-we love the AutoLinea case in our EMPI Manx and a dyno pull video on the 2180 built by D&J Automotive is coming soon!
Its overpriced
thanks for sharing your opinion Troy-you get what you pay for
How many parts are made in China? Does EMPI sell Chinese Crap?
A Monkey can build all new...
