Very helpful. thank you very much. Guys its important that the region is set to 'chinese mainland' otherwise selected devices can connect to it but no internet. After repeating the steps on how to setup this and set my profile's region to 'Chinese mainland' all devices from my place can successfully connect to the repeater with internet :-)

I got one the same from what you have in the video and when I set it up I have to choose "Chinese mainland" for the language so it'll work but on your Xiaomi repeater why did you choose China as the language, was it stated from the instruction?

You can fix SSID by using MI app on your phone

I have found the fix, make an xiaomi account and you must set the region to mainland China. then enter the app using the login ID click on region and select mainland China and I guarantee it'll work
