I am loving your content. I just got a 2017 scrambler and am taking it down the California coast. Finding suitable saddle bags for this bike isn't easy (the exhaust causes issues). So I am going with one saddle bag on the left and a duffle. Maybe I will get a tank bag too (never used one so not sure). Sub!

RUclipsrs, influencers and the like tend to get bogged down in shilling the wares of whatever company is willing to sponsor them. So everything always has to be new. I'm not saying there is anything necessarily wrong with sponsorships but not everything has to be new. Or maybe they make so much off of their influencership that the can constantly afford to buy new things.
I appreciate your reuse of stuff in this video and the whole message, really. I get as much universal stuff as I can.
The seat is a tough one. I would never carry a passenger on this bike so I would just do some sort of rack system or trunk where the broken piece of the seat would go.

Regarding the rear seat piece: I broke the bolt at the back trying to tighten it too much, so what I did was I forced the plastic open with clamps, coated the metal part in crazy glue, inserted it back in between the plastic "arms", added some more crazy glue, and clamped the whole thing shut for a whole day. It doesn't look great but I can once again screw in and out without having the metal part just spin freely in the broken plastic. It really baffles me why this part is not entirely made of metal to avoid this happening, though...

I did the same thing actually, but mine ended up just breaking again, sadly. Yeah, It's not a great design. Making it all out of metal would add a little cost, but would definitely make it better and more durable.

I am watching eBay hoping the seat will pop up used for the time being. It's not urgent, so I can wait it out.

When you got the bike did you also get the metel rack that takes the place of the pillion seat ? I have run that on the bike for six years ..I works great and would do you better than just using the under housing .. Just saying :) All the best , Guy

Mine didn't include a rack, sadly. This setup is also temporary as eventually I want a setup that allows me to carry a passenger while still carry luggage. Just a bit of a making it work for the time being situation. Thanks for watching. I appreciate your comment and support.

@@Dailycozwerks I love the long seat and rack as I have seen it on a few 900 Scrambelers . It is a more organized system for the long haul .I am 73 and my wife does not want to ride anymore so I am fine with the solo seat and smaller rack .I must say the solo original seat is great even after a few hundred miles on it in a day . :)

Some of us have a great bike but it does not have the aftermarket support I wish it had. 🫤
