@@HowToLinebackerLet's get into Duel battle between Saquan Barkley & DC spags. Basically how one can beat the other. It's also huge for Saquan Barkley because he gets a chance to set the market for the RB & put them back in high regard. Thoughts
@ this is like the X’s and O’s vs Jimmies and Joes discussion. You need both for success and sometimes one beats the other. What are your thoughts about this matchup?
Nice breakdown - probably the first time I’ve seen that level of detail in front 7 analysis and it was quite interesting. Also points out how well coached the Chiefs D is (I assume they don’t necessarily execute perfectly on every snap, but they at least know the assignments well), as well as why Leo Chenal is so important to this D. …and to the STs as well considering his 2 blocked FGs this year. I already know that Bolton and Tranquil are very key to Chiefs D performance, and knew Leo was as well, this really points out why. Thanks!!
To me, the 3 tech guys that you mentioned are more like 4i techs. Does this make much of a difference in how the D-line plays their gaps since both techniques are in the same gap?
@@mjciavola great question! The main difference between a 3 technique and a 4i technique is which offensive lineman the defensive lineman is playing. A 3 technique usually shows the inside foot back meaning he is about to step to the guard where a 4i technique usually has the outside foot back meaning he is about to step to the tackle. There are certainly variations of a Bear front, but the standard is two 3 techniques and a 0 technique. There are many valid reasons for the variations.
Great topic! Yes to my knowledge this was a concept made popular by Kirby Smart at Georgia to protect his smaller linebackers in 3-4 fronts. The Bear Front has at least 5 men on the line so it can afford to play heavier on the guards because the tackles are occupied as well. The bear is purely a run stopper while the mint or tite is an answer to stop the run vs spread offenses.
This is the worst officiating group for the Chiefs look at the records. If they wanted to give the Chiefs a leg up against the Bills this is the last group they would have calling the game. Do your research instead of following trends.
This is a really lame take. The data and film do not back up this silly narrative. The data actually shows Josh Allen gets more calls than any QB in the league. But the refs rarely make a big difference in games, it usually washes out.
Who is the best Defensive Coordinator in the NFL?
Vic Fangio
Fangio or Spags.
whos got the most rings
Spags
For the chiefs, it is the refs.
Wow! This is great how you break it down for us amateurs. Keep it coming!
Glad you liked it!! More to come
Keep putting these out and I will keep watching.
Done!

That was great. More please
Outstanding play breakdowns!
Thank you!
No idea why you popped up on my feed but that was awesome. Rooting for the 3 peat.
Thanks man!
Instant follow, glad this popped up on my recommended. Love Leo, Go Badgers!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Very well explained. Please give us more of KC defensive schemes
Will do
Did anyone notice the extra lineman tap his hip to tell the fullback where to block?
Not until you mentioned it.
No.

@@HowToLinebacker If there are two 4i's, I've also heard this referred to as a "Mint" or "Tite" front.

Are the refs going to give this one to the chiefs as usual?
Hahahaha
