Spiffing video!! I must say well done!!! Excellent job by all, Specially the Association Corps of Drums! Who sounded beautifully! The marches played were, 1) 0:07-First and Finest 2) 2:26-Grenadiers Return
Ex-Grenadier 2nd Battalion. Remember doing one Royal guard at Buckingham palace. We normally mounted / dismounted guard from Wellington barracks then a bus back to Chelsea. As normal we mounted from Wellington but when we dismounted the following day we turned right and marched via Victoria to Chelsea. This was the only time I did this. As we hit Chelsea barracks the band played the Grenadiers return. The noise under the bridge in the barracks will stay with me for life. Unfortunately it was far to many years ago.
Hi AFV, and many thanks for posting this "insider's view" of the start and end of the parade. I didn't see any of this because I was up the road getting some footage as the overall parade came past. I must say, I think you looked very smart today! If I think my footage is worth posting, hopefully I'll post it in the next day or two, but I've also got the footage I took of the 2 RAF bands which I want to sort out first.
Lovely to hear from you Mike! Glad you could make it. I think I saw you on the corner of the chapel side of birdcage walk. It was a fantastic parade, and the largest black Sunday parade the guards regiment actually has. However the viewers don’t actually know if I was IN the parade or cameraman 😉
So many good things about the video. Thank you for posting. Really moving to see the Association Corps of Drums playing beautifully at the end. Still got it gents. And the WOs (?) following up at the rear. The insertion of the Band at the beginning was perfectly timed. Lovely to see the family of the Regiment together in such a well executed parade.

Thank you very much Delvin. First and finest and Grenadiers Return sounded absolutely fantastic.

Sadly I don't know if company sergeant major Greg Mann is there or not.
Great video though .
He’s not a CSM anymore
@@yesyesoyes72 I know that.
The Grenadiers return............looks like a robust "family" gathering.
