Another tip that could be useful especially if you are A+ (not really necessarily related to laptimes) is to try and race at night. Night is usually when the servers are at their busiest, which can make it easier to be in lobbies of your level and be able to gain more DR from your results. Playing during the day will usually put you with lower ranked drivers which will give you much less DR from winning. (This could be very region dependent)
I don't know, in America racing at night (before 12:00 AM 🇨🇱 time) was the worst when I was high B driver, always mixed with A/A+ drivers who were 2 sec faster than me and starting almost from the back, the best way to have a race with only B drivers was losing SR, happened to me sometimes and I was on pole and winning easily escaping from dirty drivers improving my DR, now Daily C at Le Mans was my best, I had a big DR jump from low A to mid A close to full bar, 60 or 70% and it was racing against B drivers and few A drivers and ocassionally one or two A+ drivers, morning races were my best because I had victories, night was more 2nd places to improve DR.
@@Fer-ct9hp American here too, from my experience I think it dies down after 9-10PM EST, it seems to start to ramp up at 5PM ish (that's when Cyrus and other streamers start). My advice was particularly aimed at A+ people who would like to gain further DR. In GTS I also found myself facing against A/A+ when I was in B/A ranking. I'd recommend to try and spend more time in Qualifying, and if you find A/A+, its fine if you don't win, just try and be consistent and finish at the top half
I'm in Asia and I always play at night. I would say before 23:00 this is true, but after that I just keep finding myself in B/A lobby although I'm in A+. Some people in DR B hate to see us in the lobby because they can't get like a top 5, but actually A+ player hate this even more because if we make any mistake, our DR will drop A LOT. This also means if you're a B driver and some A+ guy make a mistake or be taken out, you can start celebrate because you can gain huge points from him.
Fantastic advice and sharing of knowledge Digit…no other channel does this and it’s helping a lot of people improve and understand the mechanics of getting faster…huge respect for helping everyone that’s willing to watch these videos…this is how community’s should be…helping each other can be massively rewarding for everyone…well done ❤️👍
Great video! I remember when I first started watching your videos (late last year) I was a B rated driver with about 300 races and 30 wins. I started studying your laps and your style (throttle and brake modulation) and now I’m an A+ with approx a 35% win rate and 80% top 5 rate since watching you. I was always 2500 - 3000 in the world on quali pace and now I usually sit between 100 - 200. If anyone wants to improve I definitely recommend watching every one of your videos and also your coaching course!
After hearing your tips yesterday on stream, i logged in, and managed to hit a 28.7, which positioned me around top 200 for the first time ever. Thnx alot❤
Thank digit!! You're the best. I follow you since 1 year ago, I am from Mexico I would like to see these type of videos in Spanish, but there is really limited content like this in my language, so I prefer to watch your videos even in English!! Keep going mate 😊
Great advice, I am an S sr and I was a 75% B DR and have gone down to D, all this through dirty drivers, I get a good qualy time and at the 1st or 2nd corner get taken out, frustrating, why should this afect my DR when I am constantly being taken out. Great advice on lap times, Thanks
This all depends on tire compound and speed out of previous corner. Usually, 5m per tyre compound seems like a good idea, but without a specific situation I can't say for sure.
You will want to change your G923 in 2 years (if you take the game serious), the T300 can last for 5 years or more (cause you can change the T300 pedals for better ones, which is impossible with the G29 or G923)
@@efenba You can change your pedals to Logitech Pro Pedals (which are load cell). I did and I'm very happy with it. Not sure about options with Trustmaster, it is quite possible they are even better
Question: what’s the best approach to determine exactly how much track the game will allow before a penalty is levied? I ask because there seem to not be any consistent rules here. Is it simply trial and error?
Often you can watch replays of the best guys, they always use as much track as possible. Otherwise, it's trial and error since often you can use a lot more of the track that you would expect
He does plays those games. GT7 is not a full sim, but neither are those (yes they are more detailed than GT). GT7 is "enough of a sim" to have real F3 and F2 drivers competing in the tournaments.
Doubt, its not the game philosophy. Too aggressive downshifts do increase fuel consumption and make some cars really unstable, so what we have today is definitely not ideal, but its not without its drawbacks.
Couldn't agree more! Set good qualify lap times but trying not to get pushed around is the issue. Go from top 5 to close to last in first or second turn is Soo frustrating

100% correct. Nothing like being the only A+ with 2 A drivers and the rest B. One punt and bye bye to thousands of DR points.
@@bradleyronayneproperty7599 yep, in fact some people claim you could lose DR even if you win in a weak lobby

Nice one
A very good summary to improve our lap times.👍 Thank you
Excellent summary of how to improve your lap times. I am currently taking your class. Well worth the price, especially with the discount!

These are great tutorials I’m finding I’m able to control the cars better now knowing these techniques.
Great advice and that lap yesterday was amazing 🏁👏
Thanks for the video and explanation. Very clear and helpful as usual !!!
My pleasure!
Congrats on the 27!! Excellent tips, as always.

That's one of my problems too. Being faster but taken consinetly out by other drivers in front or the back. That's really frustrating.
This lesson is super particular and useful 👍🏽👌🏽
How can I specify correct breaking point? I mean we have to use different tyre types, cars with different power in maybe different types of weather.
This all depends on tire compound and speed out of previous corner.
Usually, 5m per tyre compound seems like a good idea, but without a specific situation I can't say for sure.

Usually you have to keep 2 tires inside the track, which is usually controlled by the white line at track limit

Do you mean DR 70cc malaguti Phantom f12 Liquid cooled?
hi mate great channel can i ask whhy you dont play games like iracing or ACC LFM GT7 is a good game but it isnt really a sim is it
He does plays those games. GT7 is not a full sim, but neither are those (yes they are more detailed than GT). GT7 is "enough of a sim" to have real F3 and F2 drivers competing in the tournaments.
To answer. I do sometimes, but I enjoy playing GT7 the most. GT7 is a simcade, but it teaches all the things you should know about racing.
Hope they will implement engine/gearbox failure due the excessive downshift from much greater speed and revs
Doubt, its not the game philosophy. Too aggressive downshifts do increase fuel consumption and make some cars really unstable, so what we have today is definitely not ideal, but its not without its drawbacks.
I would actually like that, but I work with what I have.
Took me 123 races to make it to A+ on my 2nd account. Is this good?
Took me 51 races on my 2nd account using a Dualsense edge. But I have almost 1000 on main account too so...😅
Yes that’s very good considering from memory only 2-3% of total drivers are A+
Perfekt Top ✌
I prefer being in lower dr races. You can win more. Other than being more challenging the higher dr does nothing.
Your physics sre fine on a empty track.. but try to be that perfect in a mid field of 15-19 ...... AI cars .. your be abused by them
