For anyone still struggling, the sacred order incantation you buy from from D does a ton of damage to them. They count as those who live in death just like the skeletons.
I used the great watchdog staff to kill the one w that drops the deaths poker n ive just been using the deaths poker to fight all of them. Its does big damage if ur scaled to the weapon properly
It's so simple but thanks for clearly showing the map locations. For some reason a lot of people making elden ring guides don't, and it really helps when the game area is roughly the size of California
I found it way easier to kill them all at once later on in the game when you good and leveled up. Unless you want something they drop right away. I’d recommend waiting till your towards the end of your play through, less stressful.

I've killed quite a few naturally but for two weeks now I've been meaning to see if I couldn't find a guide covering them all. Now I can rest easy knowing I got, I hope, all the birds.
The final one absolutely FUUUUCCKKKED MMEEEE UUUUPPP. No lie, this fucker was harder than like 80% of the bosses in this game and gave more more trouble than basically any of them.
First time I beat it, it took me 45 minutes up poking it and running away. Took me like 15 tries. This most recent time I beat it, I just swapped out for a holy damage weapon and took it out in 2 tries
I cheesed the last one by accident. I climbed on the ledge on the side where the church is hoping to be able to do ranged attacks. He kinda jumped through the ground to get to me. Then he jumped back down. He tried it again and I believe he went through the map and died instantly. Didn't even get to hit him once. Also thanks for the video. Helped me find 3 I was missing.
That and any holy weapon will really screw him over since he is really weak to holy. I spammed the halo scythe halo's at him which were hitting for about 1500 hitting his dead and 1000 to the body.
This thing is highly resistant to thrust damage. I learned this the hard way using two heavy thrusting swords against the one in the Consecrated Snowfield. It felt like it had 3x its normal health.
If anyone had trouble on the last one like myself, double down on holy damage and use the erdtree bow with golden arrows. Just kite him around and keep spraying. Took me like 50 arrows but missed half of them
Another very good way is to use Envoy Long Horn. These birds are weak to holy and strike damage. The bubble shower simply melts them. If not, the horn is still a great hammer which gives good strike damage.
I accidentally killed my self from falling off the cliff and that freaking bird followed me down and died as well. When I got back at the nearest Grace site, I got the spell. Headed back to the cliff where I fell and claimed the runes.
He wasn't that bad. The halo scythe really is great against him since he is really weak to holy damage. I was doing about 1500 hitting him in the head and 1000 to the body. Using the mimic or any other summon that can distract him makes the fight a cake walk.

Btw near the 1st death bird In mountain tops of the giants, their is a tibra mariner and if u kill it, a really cool and good weapon drops called helphens steeple
For those who don’t want to fight the last one, u can do the farm rune jump glitch at the teleport gate to Haligtree. Just trigger the bird to appear, then do the fall glitch. That will kill the bird.
They also seem to be weak against fire. Using Giantsflame Take Thee with Erdtree Seal+10 and Giants Seal in second to boost fire. Fire Scorpion Charm and Flame Tear.
For anyone who stumbles onto this fight... the bird at the very end of this video is hella tough... I'm level 182, & I walked on some of these death birds, but that last one, I have 62 vigor & one explosive attack the bird has, & its "tell" is kind of garbage, b/c it winds up like its going to do one attack, and then ends up doing the explosive attack. Anyways! ALMOST 1 shot me.. (Miyazaki: where were going we don't need scaling to make ANY sense)
i take half of the damage with torrent. You can almost glitch it going round the bird. If you see the charged attack dismount and stay behind. Try and kill it then with the special of your weapon (Mine is Rivers of blood)
Man i'm at lv 240 and no problems with all of them.. except for the last one.... One-shot every time with that stupidly OP skill that makes my tarnished ass explode. Killed in 5 attempts, and for Melenia, i did it at the 7th or 8th attempt. This freking bird took advantage of every mistake.

A nice cheese for the Death Bird at Caelid which drops the Death's Poker (the one shown at 4:15): Teleport to the Church north of the Deathbird; the one where you find Millicent. From there, run towards the Death Bird's location. You will get to a cliff overlooking the bird. From here, you can hit him with any ranged attack and deal damage, but he won't be able to hit you with any attack (other than one rare, ranged fire blast... but this is easily avoided). Even if you just started the game, it's possible to kill him within the first hour. Just buy the basic longbow from the Roundtable and 99 arrows. Aim for the Deathbird's head and mighty shot until he is dead.
I don't know if this helps but i played Elden Ring as a Intelligence Player... So basically all the Death Birds for me weren't really hard... And mostly just used Comet Azure. So if your having troubles with the last one or the others! I recommend try going Intelligence for it then go back to your usual build! But i'm not saying your current builds are useless against it though... I hope no one finds it that way...

I found that using Torrent instead of fighting Death Rite Bird on foot drastically made the fight easier.. after like 20+ attempts. I got so fed up that I just fought him aggressively while on my horse, and it made it possible to run away from his ridiculous AOE spell, which I believe is not meant to be dodged ,but rather fled from. When you speed charge on torrent, you are actually evading, or at least to some extent. I just charged him whenever he would finish his combos, and then I would run back to maintain some distance. Make sure to get close to him whenever he attempts to do one of those ranged barrage attacks. They are actually a lot easier to dodge when you're close as opposed to being far away. The fireballs will hit the ground when you're close, but when you're far away, they are a lot harder to evade. What a piece of shit trash boss of the highest order. Good riddance.
Btw, the Southern Aeonian Swamp Bank site of grace is way closer to the Caelid bird, made it super easy for me to get back the fight cos I kept dying lol. The grace is just to the left of the road they took in this video. Thanks for the guide!

for everyone struggling equip golden epitaph 2 hand it cast death rite then hit them and be amazed u don’t have to aim for the face if you scared you can 1-3 shot all but the 8th one and 4 shot the 8th
give your mimic a holy weapon he can do it on his own.I make builds for the mimic to solo bosses so fun,You can learn the fight easier that way.Kill them too fast you never learn their move set.I set my tear to heal only.Just had buffs and seals and incants.Because if not he would kill everything.he beat melania was almost dead but did.

I used a +10 azur staff in right and staff of loss in left and night comet seemed to do over 1k damage each shot clapped most of em with this setup. 75int as well
strap the sacred ring of light with sacred affinity on grave scythe(because its easier to upgrade) then use all holy boost buff and start spamming the ash of war, easily killed the last one near ordina
I assume that relic sword is a +10... doing the tree spear glitch with the bloodhounds fangs to get holy damage added to it, killed the red feather branch sword in 2 hits... I ha e 2 and they're both +10
If you can get close to it just get under it and clear all the stuff off of its legs. Use a horse or roll to get near it. I literally rolled all the way up to it the first time I did it. Now I just get on the horse and dodge all that crap lol! What a crazy tower 😆

9:26 you can cheese this bird by using rotten breath and by running away far enough eventually it will die instantly. Worked for me.

Death’s poker is most definitely underrated as an intelligence weapon, it’s slow but the weapon art is really cool and does hella damage
The ordina one is just insane. That bloody black fire has killed me more times than Placidusax

Mimic tear plus a fairly decent holy attack weapon or dragon incantations is easy. Good for faith builds.

Thank you for this video! The wiki has the map placement wrong for the Deathbird outside Leyndell, so I was lost for a good while.
I started a 2nd character and found this bird for the 1st time within 4 hours. My other character never seen a death bird 60+ hours.
Travel only at night and you will get more runes per kill and there are many more npc's that only spawn at night.
Same I did a dex build as my second and went to kill the night rider that only spawns at night and stumbled onto it

Use the ancient relic swords wave of gold it works wonders on the deathbirds and if you don’t have that just go pure holy damage
for anyone shuttling just use golden epitaph combined with holy scorpion charm and holy physick then upgrade it and it’s melts through them
any mages having trouble with them angry birds just spam stars of ruin while riding your horse, got through all of them with this one spell
For anyone who needs a bit of a tip for the the death birds use death blade it’s really good I’m not new game +3 and it destroys

strap the sacred ring of light with sacred affinity on grave scythe(because its easier to upgrade) then use all holy boost buff and start spamming the ash of war, easily killed the last one near ordina
I assume that relic sword is a +10... doing the tree spear glitch with the bloodhounds fangs to get holy damage added to it, killed the red feather branch sword in 2 hits... I ha e 2 and they're both +10

If you can get close to it just get under it and clear all the stuff off of its legs. Use a horse or roll to get near it. I literally rolled all the way up to it the first time I did it. Now I just get on the horse and dodge all that crap lol! What a crazy tower 😆
last deathrite bird is harder then a lot of bosses....
Not sure why but for some reason the last death bird in the consecrated snowfields wont spawn. Is it because I killed radagon/ Elden Beast?
That death rite bird was insanely difficult

An upgraded inseparable sword absolutely nukes even the Death Rite Birds.
Be careful of the one I caelid it might be weak but I found it to be the most aggressive one for some reason
