Hello doctor, based on the MRI reports of my knee, would surgery be necessary for the following findings:
1) Horizontal tear of body-posterior horn of medial meniscus.
2) Type 2 signal in anterior and anterior horn of lateral meniscus.
3) Complete tear of medial patellar retinaculum.
4) Mild lateral deviation of patella.
5) Mild marrow edema with impacted fracture in lateral femoral condyle and medial patellar facet.
6) Mild knee joint effusion.

@@joslydaniel6419 If you can perform day to day activities and move your knees without any problem, then avoid surgery. It's not always successful. Give your body some time to heal. Heating pad, light exercise, collagen, turmeric tea and above all, faith helps.

1) Low grade ACL sprain with intact fiber.

Hello Dr. My wife has acl surgery at medanta, after the surgery dr said acl is drafted but meniscus could not be repaired completely. Now after the surgery knee got locked 4-5 times but no swelling & acl remain drafted. Now unfortunately her right knee also got acl damage. & my new dr says he can repair left knee meniscus repair as well which will stop locking of knee. Is it possible one surgeon at hospital like medanta could not repair it but other surgeon at fortis is able to meniscus repair. Should we go for it? Along with right knee acl surgery

My father is 54 yrs old. The MRI report says
1. Hyperintensity with discontinuity of few fibres in ACL---- Grade 2 Injury.
2. Atrophy with degeneration of Posterior Horn of Medial Meniscus.
He's been under treatment in cmc vellore the doctor has given a medication of 6 months and said us to come after the completion of the medicines.
After the medicines taken he is better than before but still can't run, when up or down stairs it hurts in the knee portion. What should I do sir?🙏🏻😔

○I am 45-year-old male, not overweight at all, and I do not play sports. I had a partial medial meniscectomy done dated 24 June 2022 on my left knee due to a work-related injury. About half of my medial meniscus was removed. Am I guaranteed to get osteoarthritis and need a knee replacement when I’m older? Is there a chance that I wont need one at all?
