I was so happy to see the return of Live from ... and this whole episode with Howard shows why you just can't beat artists getting together and performing like this. You can't help but notice the joy on Daryl's face too.
Another huge hats off to Darryl for this incredible treat with Howard. D and the band always smooth as silk but to watch Howard go off on this killer soul track was off the hook cool. From the first track recorded in the Howard series, you could see Darryl feel the love for Howard, in this one. Clearly watched a musical friendship cemented in real time.
This is one pf those episodes where i really feel Daryl is at at his best helped by a great guest and fantastic band.
This is such a beautiful song. This reminds me of the early days with "She's Gone". So smooth.
