You should consider taking these great reviews to the next level by taking us with you and filming some highlights of the run and hiking part of your testing
I used to do that in the beginning, but people were complaining about getting disoriented from me running and holding the camera lol I will try to implement that back though!
Hi am for India and a huge fan of salomon....it's been around 10 years I learnet about this brand since then no shoe calls me .... recently bought this amazing shoe...and I love it Very comfortable shoe your review is 100% on the head of the nail...
Both are great! Salomon has a better fit for me, so I would go with Salomon. If you are not carrying a lot of weight, I would recommend something lighter from Salomon in a mid size range.
@@UltimateSurvivalGear ok, great! thanks for the super fast response :) my major concern is that I will do a few full day hikes and I think the salomon might be too tiresome anyhow, thanks again :D
I had one of these in my hands three days ago. I was shown them when I was asking why the Quest Prime had disappeared? They looked good, colour dark green. I went to another shop to buy one of the last pairs of the Quest Prime (a boot I'm used to and has been good to help cure some podiatry problems I've had for a while). But I'm pleased that the Quest Element looks like a decent replacement to it. I did not try the Element on. But its sole is stiffer than the Quest Prime. I'll maybe try the lighter weight Ultra next summer for running. But by then I may not need a Mid sized boot for running anyhow. But yes, the Element do look good, looks like a decent replacment to the Prime (a boot I'm now found of). I didn't notice the extra weight while I held it. The price £159.00 may also drop at some point. I'll listen to your advice about it now as I was typing this while your vid was playing. P.S. in the first shop I was told that there were two possible replacements for the Quest Prime (I presume both by Salomon). I wonder what the other boot is? The Quest Prime had already disappeared off the shelves and web sites of all the shops in my area. All of which being a lot cheaper than direct from Salomon. The Prime was not given much shelf space in my area, I don't know why, but the 4D is and the Ultra. I had my previous pair of Quest Prime boots fitted with Vibran soles, which I much preferred to the originals after they had worn out. I then screwed a load of 3/8" flat heads in them, which certainly made my footsteps a lot more audible (no stealth ability there). It was the fabric lace loops that broke in the end. But the boots had long since passed their best after 19 months of constant use.
I'm enjoying your thorough reviews. I'm going from San Francisco to New York City to make a pilgrimage to all things Chuck Schumer as a woke libtard. This is also an excuse to buy some good walking shoes for NYC--waterproof, light. Thanks.

Very comfortable shoe your review is 100% on the head of the nail...
Did you imported it from outside? I don't think in India these are available

Woow gracias!!! justo estaba buscando reviews porque las quiero para el pico!
Hermano, tengo algunas dudas, estoy a nada de comprarlas, ¿son mejores estas o las Quest 04? Justo las quiero para el Pico
Looking into a new pair of boots and I can't find info on these anywhere! Thanks for the video.
Great review. How do they compare to new Quest 4 you reviewed before? Thx.
I want to know as well!!

Gtx ultra mid 4's or these... Which would be better for high altitude 6-7 days trekking... I already have the GTX 4 lows.. they are fine..
Thanks for your review. I used to have Quest 4D. Is Element their newer version?
Definitely need gusset waterproof to go right to the top !
strong material? Goow for winter?
Hey. I really enjoy your reviews. Can you review the Arc'teryx Aerios FL Mid GTX?
Thank you! I'll add them to my to do list!
Awesome reviews mate.... Well done 🤠👍
Salomon X Ultra Trek GTX boots 18.7 OZ not new,why are there no reviews ?
Besides the look.... Any difference with quest 4d gtx?
Are these boots b1 or b0?
hi there. would you recommend these hiking boots or Lowa Renegade for a 10km hike? (mostly flat and 15% uphill with good incline)
Both are great! Salomon has a better fit for me, so I would go with Salomon. If you are not carrying a lot of weight, I would recommend something lighter from Salomon in a mid size range.

anyhow, thanks again :D
If they increased the gusset to the full height of the shaft, it would severely limit ankle mobility.
Your wrong , just make it wider and folding then it's water proof and no limiting the ankle mobility. Design is everything.
These boots or the Columbia firecamp boot?
I would definitely go with Salomon, completely different league! Although, Firecamp is a good boot too!

Looks like Salomon are cutting corners with the newer models.
And they are just as expensive, if anything they are more expensive.
