Thank you for that. Your method is completely different than mine, but I only have 40mp to work with. I wish you'd shown some of your photos taken with automatic ISO and automatic shutter speed - two settings that I've never used.

Thank you for your feedback! I appreciate you pointing out the absence of sample images in this video-it was definitely an oversight on my part. It’s great to hear different perspectives, and I can see how including examples of photos taken with automatic ISO and shutter speed settings could have provided a clearer picture of how these features perform in practice.
In my future videos, I'll make sure to include more sample images to better illustrate the effects of different camera settings, especially for those like you who may not typically use them. If you're interested, many of my other videos do feature examples using auto settings, which might give you a better sense of how they might work in various shooting scenarios.
I'm glad to hear about your approach, and it’s always interesting to learn how others manage their settings to suit their specific needs and conditions. Thanks again for your suggestion, and I hope you'll find the sample images in other videos helpful!

@@TheSneakerPrincipal , i was thinking of your situation as a principal of a school - a middle school! Parents can be awfully sensitive about strangers taking photos of their children. For the sake of good will, you might consider letting the kids - responsible kids! - use your camera to take photos of you with other kids and teachers. My M10-R is a couple of years old and I still am reluctant to let strangers hold it, not if they might be able to out-run me.

Thank you for your thoughtful suggestion and consideration of the sensitivities around photographing students in a school setting. At our school, which has a strong digital communication focus, we are particularly careful about how images and videos are captured and used.
We have a comprehensive approach where all parents and guardians of students are required to complete media consent forms. This ensures we respect the wishes of families who prefer not to have their children's images used in any media or school publicity.
To foster a rich learning environment and involve students actively in digital media, our curriculum is designed around these skills. Sixth graders engage in digital design, including graphic arts; seventh graders work on audio production, including podcasting; and eighth graders focus on videography and photography as part of their capstone projects to prepare for high school. Furthermore, we have a student-led media team responsible for running a school podcast and covering various school and district events.
Your idea of letting responsible students use the camera to take photos aligns well with our educational goals. It empowers them to apply their skills in real-world settings while ensuring that their activities are closely supervised to safeguard the equipment and the privacy of all students.
Thanks again for your suggestion-it is a valuable reminder of the importance of involving students in meaningful ways while maintaining stringent privacy standards. Your input is greatly appreciated as we continue to enhance our digital communication programs and ensure a safe, respectful learning environment for our students.
