- We've got another set of solid cards landing throughout the month of May 2024, so I wanted to discuss the potential for these new cards and lock in my predictions for how powerful they will be.

Regis, her me out. Play blink and hobgoblin, with destroyer being your only 6 cost card in your deck. Give them a goblin turn 5 (4 with Ravenna), then blink it to a destroyer to wipe out their entire board. Not a good deck, but definitely funny.

YESSS I've been advocating Namora with "unkillable" cards like Armor, Cosmo, Colossus, etc.
What do u mean? Those cards are all low power. Plus 5 doesn't make them killable

For Sasquatch there is a easy line Mysterio on 2, Sasquatch on 3. Could be decent in Skaar deck to get 10 power out on early.

I looked at the season ahead and every card looked bad to me, but you have given me appreciation for what these cards can be, in a way I couldn't really see before. I appreciate it.
Namora could go crazy in a Wong/Surfer list since those decks usually rely on Shaw to solo a lane anyway.

sage feels like a great fit for either wong shenanigans or for a bounce deck. the trick seems to be getting her to proc multiple times

Blink modok hella seems interesting
you can swap the invisible woman on the last turn with blink and put either ironman, onslaught, tribunal or hit the modok if you haven't draw yet.
We need a card that says +3 every time a location changes. I think that would make for a fun deck, especially with nocturne coming out.
Rino, Nocturne, leigeon, Scarlet, Magic, Storm, Nico, and then using Odin/Absorbing man/Grandmaster to retrigger some of these effects would be fun.

I really like Namora design, yeah sure theming and synergy it goes well with Namor and Orca as mentioned
but the main thing is that it doesn't have to, I love that it is flexible to other decks and isn't stuck to just its themed deck
If Sasquatch is in hand and you played 3 cards turn 3, he'd cost 3 on turn 4, then you play him on 4 with a one drop and turn 5 you bounce back the cards on board to your hand if you can tell your opponent isn't a sandman gamer, I think he'd be a great tempo card for Hit Monkey bounce decks; the She-Hulk of bounce lol
Not a bad idea, but the odds of you having 3 1cost on turn 3 and then having the quatch and another 1 cost on turn 4, then conveniently having beast or falcon on 5 is L U C K Y. Wish I had that kind of curve 😔
In 10 games your even lucky if you pull off that combo once. Not really reliable

Wait I see Namora’s potential now. There’s actually a good number of decks with play patterns that could easily fit her in. Decks that commit heavily into one lane in the early game with cards like Angela or Hope, and decks that already play 1 card mostly in each of the first 4 turns. It’s plausible that she’s a 5/16 a lot of the time but even 5/11 isn’t bad, with her biggest counters being clutter which can be combatted with things like Killmonger and LDS.
I feel like Blink will be best suited in a deck with Jubilee with no other 5 drop. But idk
I agree. Elektro, Wave and Jubilee all work great in a deck with Blink and a bunch of 6 drops.

Nocturne is going to be insane for turn 6 Limbo mind games. Being able to turn off Limbo without having to spend energy on storm/scarlet witch will be super useful.

You're already showing your hand when she's on the board and not in the limbo location

@@areyanceJr it's not showing your hand, because you have the choice to turn it off or not.... if opponents keep playing as if turn 6 is the final turn, that can be used to your advantage too.
I just love her bc she can turn off macro (it's crimson cosmo, my remembered it wrong 😅), my least favorite location (and it have easy no counter to it) in this game.

I like the deck example for Namora you had, and it sounds like it will be fun to try. I definitely want to get that combo. I'm not convinced that she will be very good for me overall though facing so many junk decks. Debrii, White Widow, and goblins will be very popular the week of Namora's release.
So stature, trigger her discount effect so that she costs one, but still a 5 drop card, so on the next turn you play Blink to get a guaranteed six drop for one energy.. Sick.
I'd like to see Blink in a Hela deck with Swarm and Apoc, using her effect for whatever big thing you have left in your deck on Swarm's 0 seems like a great way for some more targeted surprise power
She's neat, I think she's got a wider potential for decks than at first blush
Maybe I'm boring, but Blink seems like a way to help ensure Anihilus gets down to push that Void over.
One drop- 2 drop- electro- turn 4 Namora - Boom easy 16 power, ramp deck have a nice way to spread power now.
Don't forget you can odin namora the next turn as well, in this context she is a doom but cheaper and 1 more power

@@phantoan522 stars needs to be aligned in order to let that strategy be effective... Junk now is meta and there are a lot of locations that spawn random things to break the combo...

Oh my gosh! With namora you might run collosis! Because he cant be destroyed you dont need it to be armor but works for you not getting shanged hmm but you really need the wong because i dont think even with odin 13 in 2 locations and like 14 or so mid is that amazing, but certainly got me excited!

Namora could be really good in lockdown decks. Storm in one location, Charles in another. Magik for a turn 7, Wong, Namora, Odin (could be Ab Man), put some goblins in the deck. In your best days, it could work
Woahhh your thought make me think maybe Collosus great in namora deck. But its easy to counter if ur enemy playing junk or clog
I completely misunderstood what you were saying about Sage. I thought it was like Ms. Marvel’s unique cost text. Unique power is way easier to achieve.
Blink discarded in Hela deck, and revived on 6 switching Hela into whatever big card is left in your deck...
Nocturne also nice in C5 deck to change unfavorable location...
Sage can get crazy numbers in a Ms.Marvel decks if Ravonna is in play.. sage+abs ?!..

Just a gameplay theory question, could you play a Hobgoblin, send it to your opponent, then Blink it into Galactus on your opponent's side? If so, that'd be an excellent meme I'd like to see Regis play lmao
I think Sage is underrated. In a bounce deck she could scale pretty big, but I also see her as an alternative to surfer if you don’t pull him. Usually surfer games are hard to win if you don’t pull surfer. her and absorbing man together on turn 6/7 would be pretty nice stat buff that could that give you s better chance of flipping the game. Also with Ravonna she cost 2 lol and with her On Reveal bring able to be triggered multiple times.. yea I think she’ll been kinda cracked actually lol
I had misunderstoof Blink's effect for some reason. Before they released the dev update video for the upcoming season, I thought she just changed a card to be something that would have cost 1 more power. Ex. Angela -> Galdiator.
Seems even better now that I understand a 3 could become a 4, 5, or 6. Pretty dope.
You may have accidentally confused her with Sersi. She's coming out the season after this:

Corvus glaive into blink into hela into a 6 cost and boom you have hela a six cost blink a 5 or six cost(if the only 4 cost you bring is jubilee) and whatever corvus glaive discards
And it doubles as flat ramp deck if you dont draw hela
And none of the cards require you to play them on the same location and the order you play them is their power, so agatha can play it
Just thought about how with the namora package you could probably have storm solo carry flooding, and just buff up some other lane you only have one card in, maybe move a jeff in if you need to, then you can either play wong on 4 anyways or some other just good on curve power plays to try and lock in at least one other location. That seems like that would be able to win a decent amount of games

In the developers video they show how she works. She moves to a new location and changes the new one. Video is on RUclips keyword Developers update.
namora sounds extra good as she doesnt buff adjacent locstions but just any other location with a single card
Shuri + Blink could be amazing. For 9 energy, you get a 14 power Blink and likely a 6 cost or 14 power Taskmaster from your deck.

Nocturne is the only card worth getting imo (outside of season pass). I'm saving the rest for june.

How Grandmaster will interact with Blink? Genuine question.
Either "last card" refers to Grandmaster himself (that would be ideal) or "last card" refers to the card played before Grandmaster (which would be Blink herself) since the Grandmaster play has not yet completely resolved.
Cards a very inconsistent with this and I don't have a frame of reference for how Grandmaster is this scenarios.

Nocturne will be a great tech card for my Cerebro 5 deck.
Man I want Sage and Sasquatch for the zoo dream but Namora seems stronger the more I think about it. You can also use her with MsMarvel, so Marvel on 4, Namora on 5 and Doom on 6
Sage would work quite well in a surfer deck depending how you set up her location
Sage is a pretty good play, you play hood on turn 1, maximus on 2, then you have a huge sage

I didn't realize Namora was an On Reveal. That makes her so much better IMO.
I gotta know if Blink requires the card to be in deck, or just a card in your deck (doesn't matter if it's in hand or play already).
Because if it's just a card from your deck, you can do a Wong Mystique setup, then do a 1 cost and Blink to just cycle the 1 cost through every increasing cost cards.
Or it's actually hard countered by Mill and may not actually find a card to replace with.

I wonder if there's a use for blink in a negative deck as she can swap negative out to get Jane.
Mr Negative on 4. Blink on 5. Pulls out your Jane no matter what. She will be the only card that is in your deck (if you didn’t draw her) that is a higher cost than Mr Negative. Assuming it works off current cost and not base cost.

Grand mastering sage after placing her on 2 other cards would be nice to jump over on middle lane and prox again if there are more cards there
Maybe it's too pie in the sky scenario but I can see sage being dropped on a Wong Mystique lane in a surfer deck getting quite big

Sage strikes me more as a Bounce card. Sage into beast, so she can get even more power elsewhere for 2 cost on turn 6

As I read it... +2 for all OTHER cards HERE... So she can never get above 3/6... not sure where the 8+ power possibility is a consideration.... am I wrong here?

Sage will be great shore up Wong Surfer decks is you play her turn 6. She should never be place on curve. Another example of a card where I love the character but don’t care about the card.

Colossus is actually better than Armor because it cannot be Shadow King-ed either. Maybe he will finally become somewhat relevant! Colossus into Cosmo provides two virtually uninteractible targets for Namora. That combo sounds really strong if you can pull it off. But then the question is how consistent it would be and whether the deck has a real game plan if you can’t draw parts of the combo.
I could see Namora in my black knight deck
Sasquatch good can be played in bounce deck he easy become 2-10 and with other 10 you can even put hulk son so last turn become 20 power with chen or other 4-10 so can be quite dependable.

Sage just 3-8 but hard to pull better other cards can do same thing easy.
Blink need see if she works but work more than 50%, as yea she can win big like play leader and leader instead of 2 power become like 12-20 power but they need be in deck and before last turn, while you have dog or 4-1 that can do same thing.
