grew up watching martin yan on pbs, id love to cook with these 2, this is really amazing. i love emerils roasted gaalic pasta sauce (i dont think they make them anymore now but that was my fave back then)
This brings back great memories. I watched Yan Can Cook in the 80s with my parents and Emeril when I was in college. I miss when they had cooking shows like this.
Thanks so much for uploading these! Todays "cooking" shows don't hold a candle to the early stuff. Shows like Two Fat Ladies and Emeril were what I remember first watching when I got a satellite dish back in the 90s. Emeril sure likes the "Don't know what we're cooking tonight" bit. Frankly he should be getting royalties from Chopped, since that's the whole premise of their show, and Emeril was doing it first!
I regretfully never watched Martin Yan's "Yan Can Cook" back in my childhood, I admittedly was more of a Justin Wilson fan. The big reason as to why I never saw Yan Can Cook was because after Justin Wilson's show finished, my mom or my grandparents changed the channel to what they wanted to watch. I'm grateful to now see Yan Can Cook here on RUclips and see how incredible Martin Yan is with a cleaver, that is something else. And seeing him really have fun alongside Emeril, that makes this episode all worthwhile

Say Shaq, this brings a question to mind and I hope you don't mind me asking. We've seen a lot of guests on Emeril Live, like other great chefs as well as celebrities. I was curious though, regardless of whether they be chef or celebrity, who would you say was your favorite guest on Emeril Live?
My favorite was Aretha Franklin, that episode is here on RUclips, she was excellent as she cooked along with Emeril and he cooked for her and she sang. It was a great show. The audience's energy helped out too.

Talk about a great musical guest and if the audience's energy was on point, I can certainly respect how you view her as your favorite. But speaking of respect Shaq, my personal favorite guest was not Aretha Franklin (no disrespect, btw), nor was it Tony Danza or Martin Yan, in spite of me enjoying his energy. For me, my personal favorite guest was Julia Child, who many may recognize as The French Chef and the person who brought French cooking's influence to America in the 1960s. Emeril had been featured before on her show Cooking with Master Chefs, and I think she guested at least twice on Emeril Live. But the reason I count her as my favorite guest, there is a full-length episode here on RUclips where the amount of respect he had for her was absolutely incredible, that anytime she spoke, whether it be on cooking advice or how things should properly be done, he would listen carefully to her, sometimes stopping what he was doing. In spite of her passing away in 2004, Julia Child was such a strong influence and remains one of the most popular and influential cooks, bringing French cooking to America.
The great Emeril cooking with MasterChef Martin Yan is a wonderful episode, Martin is from Malaysia so he knows Asian cuisine quite well and the friendly rivalry is always fun, and both of these fantastic chefs pour their hearts into their amazing cooking and outstanding dishes!!

Mr. Emeril, I was gifted one of your pan sets from am 84 year old female friend. During this time of covid showing up rapidly here in south Georgia. Even though the customer service said I had so many days to exchange the package, I almost died and did not open the box for a while. You need to know they sent me dented and scratched pans and lids. Maybe some ones returnes? When asked f I r a shipping label then later to call up customer service again, their nasty attitude was I had so many days and there was no record of you calling. So, I'm not enjoying my package for I beleive your company sent me a sent back...yes lid is dented, and large Pan came to me totally scratched. I'm going to make a utube on it because your customer service has no concern nor heart.....and I feel like you need to know .
