I notice that the balloons are never particularly defended in these games. Balloons were high value assets. They were typically ringed with dozens antiaircraft guns. Attacking a balloon was considered to be one of the most dangers missions you could undertake.
Spamming the comments, helping the algorithm. Not that you are going to get much traction on RUclips with a nice airplane video anyway. Getting to the point: nice job with the blip switch on the last balloon attack, and particularly landing and taxiing. There are times when an actual throttle would be useful on these rotary engines.
Nigel in his Sopwith Dolphin: bullets flying past, but if he turns the wind will muss his mustache. So he makes the only choice possible. . . Nice flying, shooting, editing, etc. but the AI aren’t making it hard for you.
I don't know, this is a mission from Flying Circus Volume I > Kaiserschlacht Scripted Campaign, maybe they finished the ammo and they are trying to escape.
The propeller/engine rotation should be counter-clockwise when viewed from in front of the aircraft.... and clockwise when viewed from the cockpit. You've got it backwards most of the time.
The guys flying those Sopwith Dolphins seem to lack situational awareness. When an enemy fighter’s on your tail and shooting chunks out of your plane it might be a good time to take evasive action.
By this part of the war we (the British) knew to turn and face the attacker, not to keep flying straight. Nice Video but not accurate. If you are being fired at from behind "TURN!" Also, turn to the "RIGHT"" as the experienced Pilots knew that most people push the stick to the left because most people are right handed and in a panic would turn that way. Hard lessons, learnt the Hard way. It is disgusting that we would not give our Pilots parachutes. What a War!
Sometimes it is hard to tell whether the presenter is really good or the AI opposition really bad. Think I will go with presenter = good this time. One has to bear in mind a purpose of these missions is to set the gamer up with easy situations to learn to take off, control the plane, shoot effectively and land without being picked off immediately by demon AI. I expect the developers ramp up the AI opposition in later missions.
@@Geoweb35 Meh, in reality all those Sopwith Dolphins had to do was enter a shallow dive and there is nothing the D1 could do about it, the Sopwith Dolphin was considerably faster than the Fokker D1. In fact by 1918 low speed (for 1918) was a problem shared by both the D1 and the Sopwith Camel, hence why the Sopwith Camel by 1918 was generally pulled from frontline fighter duty and utilised to attack ground targets (which the pilots hated).

Yeah, in Red Baron2, the AA put the fear of God in you, and that was if there were no enemy fighters around.
Very good Game, the Sound and this Machine is an absolutely Killer.

Is this AI because if so, they don't bode well for realism flying straight and level whilst under attack
I love it when people Actually use the blip switch on the Dr. I
Knights of the Sky!
Great film! Great camera work. Sadday for the Dolphins.

Even in Flying Circus those D1's are tough to fly.
DR1's
Man, the British pilots don’t even ATTEMPT to evade & I don’t see any of them attacking either…🤔

on an easy setting

Why you make all those pilots take a nap? ;) Great video!
The Dolphins got Stuka Sirens apparently.
Is that no man's land below you just noticed shit looks cool.
Very difficult to out-manuver "Dri Decker." Out dive? Straight line speed? They must've been considered a good gun platform.
The F.C. was brightly colored or?

Great graphics!
These videos are great! I’d sure like to play IL-2…..🤔

Bravo.
Hey, isn’t that a Pfalz fighter too? I think the British one at 6:40 is a Sopwith Snipe.
It is a Sopwith Dolphin
Those Englanders look all alike.
I hope the game allows you to add custom paint to your plane when one gets to join the elite squadron, because I didn't see any "Flying Circus".
Flying Circus is the game name.
are you still around ?
, stopped getting notificate's of your uploads
Yes, i am, i have uploaded latest video a few days ago 👍
The Dolphins or any a/c crashing to earth wouldnt bounce on impacts
No they wouldn’t. They’d shatter into thousands of pieces.
Is the game on steam or microsoft store or other?
Man I won this game I just don't have a joystick. To hell with that mouse flying shit give me my allerions my elevator rudder and flaps homie 🤣
What were these british fighters? I don't even know this model...
