  • Hi Friends!
In today's video, we take slow living in New York City to a whole new level, as we head out late (again haha) to the farmers' market and prospect park in this nyc summer vlog.
Be sure to stick around for the unravelling of Gill's "manlyhood" and the end of day parental breakdown into silliness.
    We hope you enjoy!

I watched other uploaded videos. Thank you for being so gracious to take the time out to reply. I wanted to comment including ask, I saw the uploaded video with you along with your children and spouse on an outing. I must say seeing and hearing you say about the different museums and the fact on certain days there was no cost with stipulations that it was a part of the homeschooling curriculum you along with your spouse include. I know it has to bring a great deal of relief getting out in the city and enlightening for all. I saw the video on the size of the apartments in New York for some and how you, your spouse as well the children have made it a comfortable living space that functions for the family. I of course said in the prior comment or message I am well past the years of having any age children in my house. I was pleased when I saw the portion of the outdoor produce market. I am alone and live alone. I have seen scheduled or home-educating curriculums that include a syllabus. Is that something you use in order to be certain with the schedule you along with your husband Gil work your household or children remain involved with or concurrent with what New York public schools require as far as the level of learning with what they(i.e.New York public school official) say a child at the ages of your children should know? At this point in my life I have come to know if I don't spend some time or live in an urban city briefly as one of the burroughs in New York I believe I will really miss out on things that would be very beneficial to who I am and have the potential to be. I have a major concern that must happen or take place, currently, it is no more than knowing and hoping. Not divulging what could be deemed personal, I have major concerns with everyday living occurrences. I have major diseases both medical and physical which require regular and extensive professional ongoing medical care whether in New York or any other urban city or other state outside of where I am currently as well country other than US. I saw the uploaded video in which you talked about the train that you along with the family were getting on, at that location there was no elevator, that was something. I would have to take that into consideration in selecting a location however I would be willing to take alternative routes. I will wait to read as well as see future videos.

I have watched a few of your videos, and I commend you and your spouse for making a major decision to live in the city(New York) with young children. I currently reside in a state that is not similar to New York. I reside in an urban city however New York, the city it isn't. Many things parents tackle having young children in the city where I currently live are not similar in many ways. In general yes but yet very different. I have found watching your videos to be refreshing and somewhat uplifting. I am well past the stage of giving birth to any more children and I don't believe I would have ever had the 'gumption'😊 to make a decision as you have. Much continued success in raising productive New Yorkers..Thank you for allowing me to look in ...with the videos

Hi, Patrice, this vlog showed up in my feed and I just had to tune in!! It was very enjoyable seeing your family interact with each other and grandma!! During my nearly 50 years of living in NYC, I remember attending the Union Square farmers market only once, sometime in the 80s. It was just not part of my DNA like it is now. I attend the local farmers market often in the summer, two towns over from my home. And because of covid the past few years, avoided the indoor winter market. I try very hard to arrive early, just after it opens, which is easier for me than it is for you, since I am the only one who goes. Everything is available and well stocked. I buy our favorite homemade baked goods and bread, the farm fresh eggs, which come in an assortment of colors due to different chicken breeds, locally produced artisan cheese and Italian soft cheeses such as hand dipped ricotta. mozzarella, scamorza and burrata. (minus Rbst) But no veg as we have a garden. Though there are a variety of cooked foods, I tend to avoid them as they are expensive and find a bigger bang for my buck with products which are not produced in bulk. Hope your potted herbs flourish!! Here's to farmers markets!! 🙂 👍

Not sure if you're aware, but the farmer's market in Union Sq. stays open until 6pm. But, of course parking may be worse. Just an FYI.
