As a person who had a lot of cast throughout my childhood from surgeries most of which happened on summer breaks please be cautious and aware especially since he got a black cast that anytime you take him out in the sun lot or especially car rides he will have a tendency to get a lot hotter than anyone else and the sweat could cause a rash and possible sores on Noah. Sending all my love hoping he gets through this with no problems and it helps not to have to have surgeries in his future
So glad you are addressing Noah’s Issue of spine issues. My husband has had back pain all his life and at 58 he was diagnosed with scoliosis. I can’t help think what a pain free life he could have had.

Boys wont get near her lol Praying for Noah that he keeps improving and helps cut down on future medical needs. Also check with the Shriners they do amazing care for children and the cost is free or minimal. My son was able to play football at the Shrine Bowl and it is amazing..

Look into the new casts they have that are more of a hard lattice. It is a latticed type pattern shape that is hallow. It is applied to the area and then a hardening gel is ingected into the inside and then it hardens and is stiffer than the classic cast. It’s breathable, waterproof, washable, a strong!!!
My twins, our youngest children, were born at exactly 36 weeks, and they definitely needed more night nursings and took longer to sleep through the night, or even to sleep in long stretches in general, than all our full-term babies. I was widowed suddenly at 41 yrs old when our children were ages 6 to 23.
I’m very happy you have a healthy baby girl . Little Noah can handle it .kids can handle so much . My son had night splits to wear at night . Each morning I would come in to them on the floor . So removable it’s always best.

Our granddaughter had a clamshell which was cast to her, but it was removable, it didn't really help her much. She had surgery at age 18, two rods and 38 screws really straightened her and allowed her to breath normally. She is special needs which complicated the issue. Prayers for Noah and you all.
Aw poor little guy. He’s lucky you caught it so early and hopefully he won’t remember much of this. I had one of those plastic shell removable casts in middle school. Not sure if it really helped or not but it was easy to sneak on/off when my parents weren’t looking 😅🤪
What I know of the "clam shell" is older patients, farther along in the process. I had a friend and her son had the "clam shell" but he was much older - teenager
