Lyrics:
It stopped raining
In my head today
I finally feel like myself again
Redemption’s here at last
Back where it all began
In the place where god and the devil
Shake hands
This is my kingdom
This is my cathedral
This is my castle
These are my people
This is my armor
This is my anchor
It’s been a long road
Outta hell up to the steeple
For this is my church
And these are my people
A choir’s singing
In my heart today
(whoa)
Like a thousand angels
Breaking the silent parade
To the ones i call my own
I’m back where I belong
In the place where god and devil
Call home
This is my kingdom
This is my cathedral
This is my castle
These are my people
This is my armor
This is my anchor
It’s been a long road
Outta hell up to the steeple
For this is my church
And these are my people
This is my kingdom
This is my cathedral
This is my castle
These are my people
This is my armor
This is my anchor
It’s been a long road
Outta hell up to the steeple
This is our church
You are my people
This is our church
This is our steeple
This is our church
You are my people
This is my church
This is my steeple
This is my church
This is my steeple

I swear, Halestorm's music makes me want to explode and live my best life.... be kind but take no sh*t!!! Gods, I love this woman!!
ruclips.net/video/UyTLzUBDzYY/видео.html
gotta listen :) !!!!!!!!!
She makes my hair stand up. Between this song, and I am the fire. She’s a fucking god send.
Something about Lzzy screaming in my ears helps me pick myself back up and keep going!
She gets into my soul! ♥️
You people have no taste in music. If i was going to rate this song I'd call it Nickelback quality garbage . Music was softer than a baked pretzel and the lyrics sound like they were written by by a toddler.
Lzzy Hale one of the only singers that has a voice 30x more powerful in person
I honestly agree shes sounds better live same with the rest of their musicians idk i feel like they probably did that on purpose tho when you see them live makes you wanna go back to hear them again
Trusty an amazing performer - the complete package! ❤
I heard that. Can't wait to see her in concert!!
@@jeffgregson5320 I've seen them like 11 times. She nails every note live. Met her once, too. Gorgeous up close and personal.
Id love to see them live🎉
In my opinion, this song and Back From the Dead are anthems of Halestorm! I hope that everyone starts to see that rock isn't dead and we need to take care of one another.
Amen!
Love this!
I can remember when Lzzy Hale was just a young teenager playing in central PA. Now she is almost 40, which she will be in October next year, and is a 2.5 decade veteran of music that current young teenagers inspire to be one day. Time goes by too fast because a teenager Lzzy Hale seems like yesterday to me here from central PA.
Can't wait for the tour to make it's way around here! Scranton pa here
Yes, I remember seeing them at the Metron when she was about 14 or 15!
I saw them in Reading in 2018 with In This Moment. Absolutely fantastic
State college-ish here!
Agree, I remember seeing them on City Island long ago (when their Dad played bass) and thinking "that kid has one HELL of a voice" and look at them now. So happy for their success.
"It stopped raining in my head today."
Best lyric I've heard this year.
I absolutely LOVE her voice. Harmony and power combined.
Good Lord, Lzzy...I'm an old school rocker..I'm pushing 60, and I'm a die-hard Dio fan. But you, you...
You are the most talented rocker I've ever seen. Keep it coming.
Lzzy Hale... What an absolute badass! 💪🤘🎸
This sounds like old school Halestorm yet had a new flavor. I love it
Rock truly is their kingdom right now, no one is doing it better and no one has done it this good for this long in forever.
She’s back and better than ever!!!
If anyone can ever see them live-DONT PASS IT UP❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'll take your word for it
I had no idea who they were when I saw them, they opened for Godsmack. They blew me away, so I became a fan. Lizzy's a great performer and the band is really tight.
I saw them open for Godsmack a while back. Halestorm are headliner in my eyes & ears. They rocked that sh*t hard and had the arena pumped. Definitely one of my favorite concerts.
Saw them at Welcome to Rockville last month and they were amazing. Her stage presence and that voice!!!
Seeing them Sunday with Pretty Wreckless and The Warning
Absolutely fantastic. I listened to it twice and had two very different understandings of the song. The first time around I wasn't paying nearly as much attention to the lyrics and it felt like an anthem about being on stage feeling like a priest (or another religious leader) thinking about their congregation and the feeling of wonder, power, and responsibility it gives. That time it felt like a fantastic pump-up song. The second listen, I paid much more attention to the lyrics, and man... that changed things. It felt like it was about rising up from depression or another mental or physical ailment and getting back to being you and how looking back and thinking about all the voices in your head and how what they say to you drastically changes depending on your mental state. It also gives a sense of control back, as she says "Outta hell up to the steeple". It hits hard...
Thank you, Lizzy...
This is how I look at it as well. That exact verse always gets me, because it’s about fighting back and ties into another song on the new album “Back from The Dead” with the verse “Hell couldn’t hold me down” and this song is like a continuation, a part two for the story about breaking out of hell and restoring your own inner power and taking back that power. This song absolutely represents strength and determination and gets me through when I want to give up the fight.
Lzzy Hale is timeless. Halestorm has been around forever, but it feels like I first heard her voice a few years ago. Nearly 15 years!
Well I'm just hearing her now ,) so I'm YOU 15 years ago about 15 minutes ago and she's fucking amazing 👏
Octane played the shit out of this song when the single dropped. And God bless them for doing it.
She has the strongest vocals I've ever heard.
the hales have stronge voices wish i had her confidence and
ability she is my cousin
dont think it means we all are good
Damn you haven't heard a lot of thing then, not saying she has a weak voice it's far from the truth, but she don't have that strong of a vocal compare to simmilar singers.
@@Nancy-mq4uc compared to who? Just who sings this loudly and on pitch? That's alive?
I can definitely hear a difference, it's powerful daymn
I'm giving gave the place of worship back to God. ❤ Happy birthday baby
I may be 50 now, but I have seen 50 concerts and they were the last concert we saw. Due to my disability it may be the last concert I see. But it was worth it. They rock. I haven't seen a better band in 20 years.
I concur Desi they blew me away. Fan forever I'm 59
Legends
Sorry, not sorry, this is going to be a mini novel of a comment; so here we go.
Second to last meet and greet w/ these beautiful souls in Detroit was brief but I choked up and told Lz zy she was able to somehow get in my head and put into words what I often feel but couldn't quite say it in a meaningful way.
The minute I got teary eyed she reached out and held my hands, thanked me and hugged me. I won't ever forget it. That is as real and as genuine as it gets.
After the show; I got the notification my meet and greet pics were uploaded. Props to Judy for capturing the moment. It's framed and one of the first things I see every day when I get home from work.
I'd love to hear about other freak fam experiences. After all; this is my church and these are my people. 💗
Yass! I love Halestorm! Loved that it was released on 2.22.22 at 2:22,
That last note gives me goosebumps every single time I hear it
I always turn it up even louder just for that bit!!
This is my steeple it makes me proud these are my people and this is my shroud
She is so beautiful.
This woman is an artist to nth degree. She is truly amazing!!
I hope that people all over the world will listen to this song and that there will be no more disputes.😞
Today is the day. Back from the dead is here. Alive and better than ever
So sad that the Evening with Halestorm Tour was canceled cant wait to see u again und Germany 🤘🏻

This video is too hot for rn. I'll have to come back when I cool down. Get me some water and such
I’m so excited to see this
This song is a truly perfection to the stage, i can picture it in my head with perfection. Lzzy's pointting to the crowd and saying the chorous. Just can't wait to see it live, absolutely stunning
We saw them last night in Newcastle last night and they played it! It fucking rocked! 🤘
@@theeuphoricgamer6245 I've never been in a big concert, but I'm saving my first time to Halestorm, just can't wait.
Saw them in Birmingham last week. Lzzy sang this, I was right at the front and it was so legendary 🤘
@@dylanconstantine9947 I just can't wait this, they're my favorite band for so many years
@David Dolby next time keep it to yourself, your hate it's not welcome here
Great song from a fantastic band. I was so impressed with this band HALESTORM in concert. Lizzie seems to perform like a goddess.
The GOOOOD !!!!
This song amongst a few others has kept me positive over the last few weeks, music can be such a powerful thing.
ruclips.net/video/UyTLzUBDzYY/видео.html
gotta listen :) !!!!!!!!!
Music is my best therapist and by far the cheapest 😂
Thank you Halestorm for making beautiful music
This is the church, this is the Steeple. Open it up and there are the people.
I think steeple means long road uphill
Like the steeple chase (horse race) because back in the day that is how you could see a
civilization in the woods.
So it has nothing to do with Christianity
It was adopted. Cuz I don’t think those buildings were built as Christian churches originally
So far that is my opinion
I love the high note that Lzzy does at the end of this song a lot.
Halestorm has been one of my favorite bands for years now and I definitely cant get enough of Lzzys I get goosebumps when I hear her sing and fellas in the band you kick ass as well, also this Guitar riff is phenomenal.

Halestorm. Your voice screams rock n roll. Awesome and amazing
Love it..
Is it just me, or did Lzzy’s voice get better. Like, A Lot Better! A few years ago, I was worried; but No More; This is the best it’s ever been.
2 years of rest has done wonders for a lot of peoples voices. Papa roach also sounds better than they have in years.
It's because it's very over produced its not raw like they used to be
@@uzazil That’s a Possibility.
This song always gives me chills. So much passion in this song!
Yes, me too. I can feel the power in her voice. 🖤
Heard her do this song live. It was incredible! She is a goddess!
How is it that Joe looks better in braids than I do?
Because he took off the ffp2 mask 😀😃
Joe in braids just threw me for a minute 😎
that was seriously bad-ass
Absolutely rock out to this on loop since it dropped. This song reminds me of the arena rock anthems of the 80’s but cranked up to 11. I can’t help but smile when singing along and I get to the “These are my people”. I can imagine it being written while on stage for that fist show back after COVID hit. That’s how it feels to me. Getting home after a long time away. I can’t wait for the whole album and hope I get the chance to see you someday.
So you would compare this to Motley Crue "Dr Feelgood" Whitesnake "Here I Go Again" or Def Leppard "Pour Some Sugar On Me"? I dont think so, seriously, this song is average at best, generic music, generic lyrics, maybe the CD has better songs, but this is boring
I heard this for the first time today. They rock and thinking about getting this on CD. I bet they sound good live. Please give the whole band credit not just lead singer.
They are good live; in fact, I’ve seen them in concert four times and they keep getting better and better.
Why would you say Lzzy is the only one that gets any credit?
@@DarthDoomSlayer64 By the comments, that's all.
They aren't just good live, they are better live. The energy and passion are unparalleled. The whole band is awesome but the power behind Lzzy's voice is AMAZING.
They are amazing live they all Rock the stage arejay is badass on them drums too they all are so great 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
inspirational af
Amazing! The Louder The Better
Incredible. ❤️
She makes me feel better and alive
Saw Halestorm at the Gov in Adelaide. It was one of the best live concerts i've ever seen. The band puts in 110% every time. Not a dull moment watching them, Halestorm are forever evolving. Long live 🤟 and roll ❤
Here before it goes viral. ❤️🔥
Halestorm went hard as hell on this 🔥
I love this song lzzy and Joe happy bday joe y'all are amazing never forget!!!!
Halestorm out here casually making THE gym anthem
Rock on Lzzy! And Halestorm keeps hard rock alive one more time!
"This is my Church, this is my Steeple." After this many years they are still rooted and still getting better.
Anyone else still misses the misery?
Killing it at the gym with this jam. From Whoville to Hellstorm. Talk about a journey. Love it. I'm hooked. LFG!
I once dreamed of a collaboration between Lzzy Hale and Floor Jansen, but then I realized the world could not survive having that much awesomeness together on one stage at the same time.
that would be amazing. great way for the world to end
Lzzy and Cristina Scabbia!.
Dream!
@@Anaris10 siiiiiiim!
Man you got shit right. The universe couldn't handle that much power🤘but wouldn't it be awsome to have Lzzy and Floor in the same orbit 🌍😲
Nailed it!
This song rocks. Glad you got back to roots. From York, Pa, miss the skid row or Cinderella or Dio covers. I grew up on those bands and love the influence.
She is amazing, Rock is my church 🙌🤘🤘🤘 Halestorm you fn rock!!!
Sounds like a mix of new and old....love it
One of my favourite things at the moment is joe in braids 😂
In all seriousness though, great job guys! (And that new SG is 🔥🔥🔥)
That was funny also Arejay is rocking the hot pink hair
@@fangraverwolf5154 I am fairly certain Arejay hasn't worn his natural hair color since he was 15.
Before I die I want to see them in concert when they play this song.
I have my tickets for their San Antonio, TX stop
Cant wait to see them in NZ in a week!!
Finally, a church I'd join.

gotta listen :) !!!!!!!!!
This band has saved my life countless times 🖤
Another amazing song by an amazing band. Love it. Proud to be Lzzy's people.
The Real Deal ..can feel a HaleStorm approaching..running right into it🎤🎸🎵🎸🤘🤘 whose going to this church.?!! Can I get an " Amen"..
In This Moment, should be singing this.
Saw them live on Wednesday it was absolutely awesome!! When they played this the place blew up
Awesome
Amazing it will probably be playing when I go to New York for choir and get to check out St. Patrick’s cathedral

My band 😁✌🏻
i love how the pink of Arejay's hair is literally the only color in the video
Thank you Halestorm for another piece of art, this song make me feel so alive and happy because I am part of your people!,love you!!!!
That’s what I feel lately even with all the pain from the past years from a lot of people..but there is shifting is happening.
I ll sing this song all time next week .
Lzzy is still the best female rock voice...period. Thanks for sharing with us, here in Saskatchewan, Canada.
Lzzy's vocals always impress, but lets give it up for Josh & Joe's guitar work, and Arejay's incredible drumming - every part of this band is top notch
Straordinari ragazzi, bellissima canzone. Un bacio dall'Italia
Omg! I can't wait to hear them rock this song at Rockville in a couple months. What a powerhouse voice too. Hell yall!! Halestorm never disappoints.
Jesus is my kingdom
Jesus is my cathedral
Jesus is my castle
"And these are my people"
Jesus is my armor
Jesus is my anchor
…
It's been a long road outta Hell up to the steeple
For this is church and these are my people - Jesus
Every song by Lizzie is awesome! She is gorgeous, she has a fantastic voice, and she could sing the alphabet- and I would still love her!!
I'm so glad I got to discover them in 2010 at Uproar where they played the main stage with Stone Sour, Avenged Sevenfold, and Disturbed and been listening them ever since. Love how they have grown and evolved since 🥰
I think this is going to be an amazing "crowd song" in concert. "This is my church"... point to the stage... "These are my people".... pointing at the crowd.... the last breakdown, Lzzy will talk up the crowd.... it'll be great.
Queen Lizy has such power in her voice ❤😊
God I love you so much
ruclips.net/video/DJAySP4RRWk/видео.html
My band 😁✌🏻
I absolutely loved it!!! You guys rock!
Your concert was the first thing that brought me out of my solitude after these past 2 years and I can't tell you how much I appreciate you and the community you've created. Lets fucking go people!!
Halestorm is my church. And you all are my people!!
A superb song, but what I really love is that this probably took all day to film and they all look like they are having a great time - what a band!
Saw Halestorm in London 13th March and they kicked a***. This song really rocked. Great live band
Thank you for keeping rock n roll alive for this almost 60 yr old chick !
