The best-kept secret of nailing a job interview is "LIKEABILITY." Human beings make decisions based on emotions and justify them with logic afterwards. If the interviewer doesn't like you, your experiences and credentials are irrelevant. Remember, if you land the job, you and the interviewer will be bumping into each other every day at work and potentially working on the same projects. Keep in mind that interviewers research you online, including LinkedIn and social media (be mindful of what you post online); they often prejudge you based on your social media presence or photos.

In my opinion this awkward question needs awkward answers like these : you should hire me because your company is on the brink of collapse and you invited me to save your company, You should hire me because your company can not compete with its rivals. You should hire me because most of your staff are wasting their time instead of paying attention to their duties. And finally you should hire me because I can not afford my home bills , you should hire me because I have to feed my family.
people learning by heart answers to these is the reason why we have so many incompetent people at position of power in banks, healthcare and gov offices.
You should be yourself and answer honestly, but hopefully my content can help those that are more than capable of doing the job well, but aren't good at interview technique and cannot portray that they have the skillset.

I love your advice…but I’m not sure that number one is suited for my field. I am applying for positions in science and engineering, so I’m wondering if it might be beneficial to mention that I don’t fit EVERY skill requirement, but that I am fit to adapt and LEARN. The best-kept secret of nailing a job interview is "LIKEABILITY." Human beings make decisions based on emotions and justify them with logic afterwards. If the interviewer doesn't like you, your experiences and credentials are irrelevant.
Remember, if you land the job, you and the interviewer will be bumping into each other every day at work and potentially working on the same projects. Keep in mind that interviewers research you online, including LinkedIn and social media (be mindful of what you post online); they often prejudge you based on your social media presence or photos.

In my opinion this awkward question needs awkward answers like these : you should hire me because your company is on the brink of collapse and you invited me to save your company, You should hire me because your company can not compete with its rivals. You should hire me because most of your staff are wasting their time instead of paying attention to their duties. And finally you should hire me because I can not afford my home bills , you should hire me because I have to feed my family.

You should be yourself and answer honestly, but hopefully my content can help those that are more than capable of doing the job well, but aren't good at interview technique and cannot portray that they have the skillset.

I love your advice…but I’m not sure that number one is suited for my field. I am applying for positions in science and engineering, so I’m wondering if it might be beneficial to mention that I don’t fit EVERY skill requirement, but that I am fit to adapt and LEARN.
